    Beef Koobideh Kabob

Food is amazing! Super succulent and well-seasoned. The rice is also special for Iranian new year. The dude who owns and operates the spot was a professional chef at a brick and mortar place but left to run his own business. It's a local hotspot and super underrated but I wouldn't be surprised if it blew up in the next year. Eat here before the word gets out and the lines get super long!

It's only about time that this place will have a line wrapped around the corner. Everything from the meat to the grilled vegetables are so flavorful! The food is fresh and the people are so nice and helpful. Great prices and still have food leftover for tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing this spot take off!

Amazing place hidden in East Hollywood! I'm glad I stumbled by this place because I don't know another place that serves Persian BBQ as well as this place. Quality is always top notch and customer service is great! Owner is one of the nicest guys you will meet. Definitely try this place. It's outdoors but there are heaters near the seats if it does get cold. All bbq is made on charcoal which is rare nowadays.

Great little corner spot in the heart of east Hollywood. The food was very tasty and the portions were large. Service was fast and easy. They use a charbroiled grill to cook the meat which gives the food a unique flavor. We will definitely be going back for more! 10/10 recommend

Let me preface this by saying out of the handful of times I've tried this place out, I haven't been disappointed by a single plate yet. The boneless chicken is hands down my favorite with the shrimp coming in close second. I'm not even a big fan of beef but for their koobideh I will make an exception. All the meat options have been tender and juicy. The portion sizes are RIDICULOUS. Normally I have to eat this for lunch and dinner to finish a box because there's just so much food packed in there. The hummus is a classic, slam dunk. I'd never tried shirazi salad until getting some on the side here but now I don't think there's any other way I'd want to eat my plate. Mixing it with the rice offers an amazing balance of tartness and added depth of flavor. Employees are very friendly and take time explaining what the different options are which I found helpful (not very familiar with this type of food). The best part for me is watching my order come out and getting it grilled in front of me! Turn around from order to receiving plate was about 10ish minutes, not bad at all. Parking can be a bit tight; if you don't get lucky with the small lot you may have to go down the street and find a spot to get out. Honestly for this food I find it 100% worth it and will make it a point to pick up any time I'm in LA.

The pita bread was so good! We also really like the chicken sambousek, I wish they had beef too. The Fattoush salad was refreshing & super tasty, I really liked the pomegranate lemon dressing. For main entrees we enjoyed the Mediterranean Chicken Manoush (pizza). It was a good size, next time we will try the Merguez Sausage pizza. I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. Since this is supposed to be an affordable lunch spot, the meat was lower quality and really hindered the dishes. Too much fat, too much skin, too much gristle. Their arayes are a must -- it's basically like a lahmajun with two pieces pressed together, and it's insanely good. I usually go all in and order the tabbouleh, babaganoush, a pound of lula kebab, and shish kebab. Honestly, if you're with 2+ people (or even just really hungry), ordering by the pound with sides is way better value than getting individual plates. You get more variety and it just feels like the right way to eat here. Every now and then I'll switch it up and get the liver plate -- it comes with tons of greens and onions, and when you wrap everything in their fresh pita, it's incredible. Not an everyday order, but when you're in the mood for it, it hits. If you dine in, the indoor decor is super nice and really gives that authentic Mediterranean vibe. They also play a lot of 90s music, which somehow fits perfectly and adds to the whole experience. I've dined in plenty of times and the service is always solid -- staff is friendly and attentive. From the moment we arrived, the vibe felt off. The host who seated us (who later turned out to also be a server) left us at the table, and no one approached us for about 10 minutes. When a server finally came over, the first thing she said was "Ready? Ready?", no greeting, no welcome, nothing. We were never brought water. I had to ask a busser for it because the server walked past our table multiple times, clearly saw us, and chose to ignore us. The food runner was also rude, he dropped the plates on the table without saying a single word. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked on us. No "How is everything?" No "Do you need anything?" Nothing at all. Meanwhile, we noticed that nearby tables were being greeted, checked on, and treated kindly. When we asked for the check, the server literally threw it on the table without saying a word. The experience was so bad that we decided not to leave a tip; Something we never do, especially since we truly value good service and I personally work in the restaurant industry. I don't know if the treatment had anything to do with how we looked or how we were dressed, but I've never felt so ignored and uncomfortable in a restaurant before. The food may be fine, but the service completely ruins the experience. I would not return or recommend this place.
