One of the best Lebanese style kebabs! Have been coming here for the past 8 years and was never let down! Always greeted with an amazing service!

This place is highly overrated. The falafel was difficult ti eat as tbe paper was stuck to it and it was not crispy. Yelp voters completely overrated this place. The only good thing I can say is that the service was incredibly kind. The ambiance is that of a hole in the wall next to trash but you'd do it for a good falafel unfortunately this wasn't a good one. Not worth coming here nor the crappy area.

The best lunch I've had in a long time. Quick, nice and clean service. The food was not too heavy or greasy. The Pita was soft and pliable. The meat was seasoned perfectly. The pickled turnips had a great bite of acidity. The falafel was airy and not greasy at all. This place was awesome. I would have posted the food, but I inhaled it.

Got off the plane, took a nap then headed here to see what the fuss was all about. Hype is warranted! Service was on point, lots of regulars coming in for lunch. Very friendly service, very proud to have been in business for several decades. Very fresh and crispy falafel. Pita fresh and thin. Pickles were very nice touch. Kabob/grilled meat was nicely done but I think I'm used to Persian version and these seasonings may be more Lebanese, just not what I'm accustomed to. Worth a visit, this would be delicious at night, too!

Was craving falafel and was in the area, made a stop here. I got two sandwiches: falafel and chicken. The falafel was crispy and gave me the nostalgia of being back at my parent's home with flavor notes. The chicken sandwich tasted as if your in the backyard with your uncle and he just handed you this pita off the grill. They keep things simple and easy, as it should be in this case. They add pickled veggies on the side. Overall, hits the spot for your cravings give this spot a try.

Brought my friends here to try and it was one of my friend's first time to try Shawourma and she was not disappointed. The three of us enjoyed our meal. The meat was tender and not chewy, yet kinda crispy for a slight charred sides that complimented well. Each order was very fulfilling, one can get out two meals from one plate. I had the French roll, it was a good different experience eating the meat, onions, tomatoes with a French roll than a pita bread. The falafel balls were a big bite sized crispy on the outside but not dry on the inside that paired well with taziki sauce. The only thing I didn't like was that the bread was a bit too charred for my liking, next time I'll ask for lightly toasted. Also, parking can be kinda tricky but there is a small parking lot available. We will be back and bring our friends. Thank you Tony for your kindness and great food!

Really wanted the plate but that was my fault. Also, the prices are not the same on here as they are in the store. They're a little higher. The sandwich ran me about $13 but really good sandwich for lunch. I felt like I was eating healthy. Lol flavor was amazing. Will eat again.!! I just wish I had a side of hummus. I will order next time.

They had utensils, napkins, and sauces with containers while you wait. I ordered the falafel bowl and pali salad in case the bowl itself wasn't enough. It did take longer than the other orders but once I got it, we sat outside where they had a few tables and chairs. The bowl looked fresh and vibrant, so many colors and a decent amount of falafel. I tried their white and mazbout sauces on the salad. I'm glad it had spinach as it helped reduce water from seeping out. The falafel was slightly spicy since I am terrible with spic r tolerance but the sauce made it very balanced. I also got to try someone's fries and it was super delicious, the spices they used on the fries were flavorful and the fried were very crispy and smooth inside. Overall, very nice quick lunch, we arrived before they opened right at 12pm and avoided the lunch rush! Very affordable prices as well.

I went there in the hundreds of times. I like this place, and appreciate that they keep their prices so low. I think the falafel bowl I had was $6 or something ludicrous like that. It was good, not great. I also had the veggie shawarma. I won't get that again. It was mushy, and when I go for that dish, I'm not trying to be healthy. I guess if I were vegan for principled reasons, I might appreciate that more....... It was one and done for me. Shout out to the workers there. It was Ce and Michelle. Ce is one of the nicest restaurant workers I've ever met!!! Total gem!

I walked around a few blocks in every direction and found the usual urban suspects--cafes, $$$$ dining, sketchy corner stores, lackluster hole-in-the-walls, chain food, and a whole lot of gritty LA galore. Nothing really stood out for going solo besides Dune. Service was straightforward. Menu was comprehensive and what you'd want and expect from a Mediterranean establishment. The interior was small but cozy and well decorated--somewhere between boho chic and French bistro. Food was outstanding. I ordered the hummus and steak plate with an herbal iced tea and both brought me back to life. I know Mediterranean dishes usually incorporate fresh herbs but this particular plating was superb. I saw generous pinches of dill and mint marrying everything together. The assortment of hummus, steak, spring greens, dollops of yogurty goodness, basmati, pickled onions and beets plus the flatbread and a lemon wedge was harmoniously flavorful. I'm good to rock out and abuse myself for another night!

By far (!) the BEST falafel sandwich I have ever tried in ANY restaurant…read more I can not believe I found this place less than a month ago. I do not live in the area, but I am visiting here once in 2 weeks. Last time I was there, I had a huge cravings for Falafel. I know a few restaurants in the Pico/Robertson area, which has falafel, but I was hoping to find a new one, and I did! The GPS found this place, and I decided to try it. It was DELICIOUS! By far, the best Falafel I have ever had, and I am eating Falafel all my life. The salads are fresh and the place is clean. It served with 2 potato chips, which I didn't care about. I would rather had 5 falafel balls in my pita bread, instead of 4. (most of the places that sell falafel, put 5 or 6 falafel balls in your pita bread) The place is very small, you can easily miss it. Do yourself a favor, and stop by if you are in the area, and hungry for an amazing falafel! I know I will, every time I will be there.

Well, to start off, I must admit I drove by this place about 10 times before I finally went in. All…read morethose times, I never saw people inside. Which I understand why. I finally went in today and sadly, was not only disappointed, my fantasy of Falafel King was destroyed forever. I know Benito used to work for Falafel King, but this place is nothing like it. The service was horrible. The guy behind the little counter was not nice at all. In fact he was rude. And didn't like if you asked him questions. But that aside, sitting in this little tiny restaurant was not a good feeling. We were the only ones there. They have a seating area outside, I'm guessing for overflow - yet, the table and chairs were right there in the middle of the restaurant. Piled up. They didn't even bother to take it outside. Put all that aside - we get to the food. One of the best things Falafel King has were the "chips", which were battered slices of potatoes that were deep fried. These were slices of potato, they were potato chips. Thin. No "meat" on them, if you know what I mean. And sadly, they were fried either early this morning or last night. Terrible, cold, hard, no taste - not even salt. We move on the falafel - which tasted good. The taste of the falafel itself was good, but the oil dripping down my hand an face was not. I blame that on the oil not being hot enough when he put the falafel into the oil. Next, the actual shwarma is not really shwarma (like you all know it). There was no revolving slab of meat where the fat melts into the meat and makes it so so special. No. This was a little baggy of already cooked meat with no spices on it thrown on the plancha and heated up. Hard and tasteless. Very disappointing. I picked it out of my pita and ate the salad with tehina and spicy eggplant (which WAS tasty). The pita is also a thin hard pita - not the nice fluffy type. I didn't finish my food, and my friend didn't finish the food, as you can see in the pictures. Sorry to give it a 1 - but to say you have ANY connection to "Falafel King" is a disgrace. Sorry if I sound brutal. I tell it like it is.

Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy."
