Well I was in the mood for Mediterranean food but also easy to eat as I was on the go. I found this place on Yelp and so happy I stopped by. Feels like a hole in the wall which is my fave type. Got the lule wrap and it was good. It perhaps needed some sort of sauce to be wholesome but luckily I got falafels on the side which were perfect. They came with a white sauce that was sort of tahini like and it helped the lule wrap. These are some of the best falafels I've had in years. This place is highly overrated. The falafel was difficult ti eat as tbe paper was stuck to it and it was not crispy. Yelp voters completely overrated this place. The only good thing I can say is that the service was incredibly kind. The ambiance is that of a hole in the wall next to trash but you'd do it for a good falafel unfortunately this wasn't a good one. Not worth coming here nor the crappy area. read more

Got off the plane, took a nap then headed here to see what the fuss was all about. Hype is warranted! Service was on point, lots of regulars coming in for lunch. Very friendly service, very proud to have been in business for several decades. Very fresh and crispy falafel. Pita fresh and thin. Pickles were very nice touch. Kabob/grilled meat was nicely done but I think I'm used to Persian version and these seasonings may be more Lebanese, just not what I'm accustomed to. Was craving falafel and was in the area, made a stop here. I got two sandwiches: falafel and chicken. The falafel was crispy and gave me the nostalgia of being back at my parent's home with flavor notes. The chicken sandwich tasted as if your in the backyard with your uncle and he just handed you this pita off the grill. They keep things simple and easy, as it should be in this case. Really wanted the plate but that was my fault. Also, the prices are not the same on here as they are in the store. They're a little higher. The sandwich ran me about $13 but really good sandwich for lunch. I felt like I was eating healthy. Lol flavor was amazing. Will eat again.!! I just wish I had a side of hummus. Brought my friends here to try and it was one of my friend's first time to try Shawourma and she was not disappointed. The three of us enjoyed our meal. The meat was tender and not chewy, yet kinda crispy for a slight charred sides that complimented well. Each order was very fulfilling, one can get out two meals from one plate. I had the French roll, it was a good different experience eating the meat, onions, tomatoes with a French roll than a pita bread. The falafel balls were a big bite sized crispy on the outside but not dry on the inside that paired well with taziki sauce. The only thing I didn't like was that the bread was a bit too charred for my liking, next time I'll ask for lightly toasted. I popped into this simple storefront for a quick bite before a comedy show at the nearby Zebra Room and didn't know what I was in for--thankfully, what I was in for was a delicious, lovingly made meal with quick, friendly service. I'd never had Armenian food before, and wasn't sure what to expect. However, Greek food seems to be having a moment and it is quite similar in flavor profile, albeit with some differences. I got the falafel and was overjoyed that it was so flavorful and soft despite being fried--I've found sometimes falafel can be abrasive, but this was perfect nestled within the wrap. I have the American affliction of needing something creamy as a condiment so I ordered the garlic sauce on the side to add to the wrap. It wasn't actually needed though, as the tahini provided that creaminess I was after. I do love garlic though, so the side did not go to waste. My friends got the garlic chicken and the Shawourma and I don't think any wrap lasted more than a few minutes, they were that good! Overall, if you find yourself in the neighborhood and want a stick-to-your-ribs meal from a family business, definitely give this place a try! read more

The food here is soooooo good! Don't let the horrible right parking discourage you from eating here. The lot is small, but spaces do open up. The interior of the restaurant is small, but their food more than makes up for their lack of space. The service was friendly enough and the food was ready quickly. We almost left because of the parking, but are so glad we didn't. The food was delicious and the falafels are made fresh to order. i had time to burn before going into work today and i have been really craving falafel so glad i got to stop in to falafel arax!!! dry falafel??? they don't know her here. never heard of her! the falafel here is light and pillowy and delicious the sandwich is wrapped high and tight with some fresh veg. every bite gave me anxiety about taking the last bite. i almost went ahead and ordered another one, but you know what this place isn't going anywhere! they said they've been doin it this way for over 40 years and i now know exactly where i will go when the falafel craving strikes again. i did order 3 falafel on the side bc i knew i would want that. super happy i did. so falafel sammie, 3 spare falafels and a crispy diet coke all for dining in and under $18. dining area is small but mighty, the restaurant is well lit and squeaky clean, the staff couldn't have been more efficient and kind if they tried. can't wait to get back! thank you so much for the falafel, Falafel Arax! read more
