First time here last night with a group of 20+ friends and it won't be our last. Molly's is fairly eclectic in that it has the flare of Ireland but the menu ranges from BBQ pork ribs to Italian dishes like sandwiches, pizza and calzones and then GIANT salads. The prices were very reasonable in the my wife ordered one of the salads and I took a sausage calzone that neither of us could finish. So we had to-go boxes so we can each have leftovers for the week ahead. Their marinara sauce I've had since living in Arkansas. Oh! By the way, we didn't order adult beverages (only water) and walked away after paying only $26.88 before tip. I think it was very reasonable and the best food in the area so far. It seems that most customers stop and pick up orders to-go here, which is perfectly fine. It left us plenty of room for the 20+ of us to sit and dine. If I had one thing to say about improving service it's that they were understaffed but in rural, western Arkansas, I think you can expect something like that. Mixed Results We recently moved to Hot Springs Village, AR, and we're enjoying exploring the local food scene. My husband is a big sports fan and loves pizza while watching a game, so we've been trying out different spots since we don't get delivery in our area. We found Molly's and gave it a shot. My husband gave the pizza a thumbs up--he said it was tasty, though a bit on the pricey side. As someone who's not into pizza, I ordered the spinach salad. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. It was labeled as a "family size" but honestly wouldn't feed two people as a side. It was mostly spinach with about one chopped egg and some bacon bits--for around \$10.19 If you're looking for a hearty salad in the Village, I'd recommend trying some other local options instead. As someone who comes from a town where authentic Italian cuisine is abound, this place's menu is quite bizarre, but I wanted to give it a chance. After all, heavily Americanized Italian food can really hit the spot sometimes. The items I enjoyed the most were the appetizers. The Bosco Sticks were addicting and the meatballs were incredibly tasty (and not the frozen kind!). After this first course, I had a little more hope. However, the entrees are where this restaurant fell flat for me. It's not necessarily that the items aren't good, it's that they're so HEAVY. The meat lover's stuffed pizza was just a bunch of cold cuts stacked on top of each other, and same with the calzones. The cheese was overall quality but its flavor was completely overpowered by all these generic meats that didn't even gel with one another. Also, the sauce on the top made the entire thing soggy. However, to give credit where it's due, our waitress was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Would someone else enjoy this kind of food? Most definitely. But I will not be returning here--except maybe for some Bosco Sticks to go. read more

We haven't dined in yet but we ordered takeout . We got a large chicken pizza no mushrooms. Service was good we walked in ordered our pizza then ran next to for a bottle of wine. The restaurant has a Irish theme with cute iirish decor . The pizza box is even cute and colorful. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed the pizza. I'm sure we will be ordering more pizza and maybe we will try their wings as well! read more

The staff were all super friendly. The pizza was solid and reasonably priced. But the $6 pitcher special was priceless. It was super conveniently located right outside of the Hot Springs Village gate. We had a great time both nights we spent there on our thanksgiving vacation. read more

Spent $60 on pizza and was then told I had to pay for some ranch dressing. They said it would be $1.50 for the ranch. Well, they saved that 1 ounce of ranch dressing but they lost all future sales from someone who just moved in down the street. Not very good business sense. read more

I just loved how big their large pizza is. And the thin crust is just right it's not too thin like a cracker like most places or store bought but it has a nice thin chewy crust with all the taste and goodness of a thick crust pizza. Plus the pizza itself tastes amazing over the others in our area. I do wish they had a butter Parmesan base instead of marina base choice like Dominos as I am allergic to tomatoes but I eat them anyway when I get pizza from here and just suffer through because it's so good. read more

My folks and I go here almost every Saturday night for Pizza, Salad and a bottle of wine, which is half price on Friday and Saturday. The place is always packed, so we go a little later. They have a very good thin crust pizza, Chicago style. The salad is full of wonderful items, olives, hard boiled egg, onions, mixed greens and cheese along with a mix of ham and pepperoni. The service is always good. We usually have the same server, Christy, who is an absolute delight. She's a hard worker and brings a level of professionalism to this busy place. This place is pretty good pizza to save a trip into town. The pizza was pretty good and loved the crust crust, which was the original. They just misfired on the cheese as it wasn't quite all the way there yet... it looked like it needed another 5-8 minutes in the over to be perfect. We had the PMS (pepperoni, mushroom and sausage) and it was a great pizza, which I recommend. We also ordered some wings and they were not good at all. The looked bad and weren't good. They had a pale undercooked color and were really tough and chewed. Not sure what went wrong, but not good wings at all, so recommend avoiding these. read more

We were in town to visit friends. Our friends had business responsibilities so we went to have an early dinner. We ordered & was waiting for our dinner to be delivered. I was looking around & noticed two of the employees wrapping silverware in paper napkins. I commented to husband that the person up there wrappng silverware was fooling with her hair & I went back to chatting with husband. I heard a sneeze. Looked up & saw the same employee that had been wrapping silverware sneezed into her hand, then blew her nose & straightened her glasses. Then to my amazement went right back to wrapping silverware. I was appalled! I had already noticed this particular employee fooling with her hair several times & when her mgr. came close to our table on her way upstairs, I mentioned to her about the employee & hair....I asked her please not to say anything to the employee while we were there. We were still waiting on our dinner (it was taking a little while) & I noticed the employee looking my way and then looking back to their mgr. It looked & sounded like she was talking about me. I asked husband to look & he said yes, she appeared to be talking about me. We weren't very far from the counter. The employee said pointing to their mgr. she has already told me what you said. She, the employee said to me.....I went to wash my hands after I sneezed. I said sorry, but I was watching you & you did not go to wash your hands after you fooled with your hair, sneezed or cleaned your glasses, I was watching at this point to see what you would do. The young lady had the gall to say to me the customer. "You want to go to the restroom to settle this?" Now, I am in my late late 70's & this employee was in her mid 20's, if that & asking me that? I was furious. I said to her.....no I don't need to go to the restroom to settle this but I am a customer in this establishment. So I fault both the lady mgr. & the employee. The lady mgr. & I suspect owner, for even talking to the employee while we were there & telling the employee & the employee who did this while working. Plus, the employee asking me if I wanted to go to the restroom to settle this. We should have gotten our money back & left immediately but we were hungry & hoped that our food hadn't been touched by other employees as I've read about that happening in various restaurants. Needless to say we will Never go back, our friends will Never go back & they will tell their friends. Our waitress was very professional & treated us well. Molly O'Brien's is a family-owned restaurant that has been on Highway 7 just outside the Balboa Gate leading into Hot Springs Village since 1983. Village residents typically call in their Pickup order when they're on the way back from Little Rock or Hot Springs. Pizza is ready in about 20 minutes. The menu lists an assortment of Ribs, Soups, Salads, Pasta dishes, Sandwiches, Desserts, Ice Cream, & Shakes. Popular spot for families to dine. This is mainly a Locals place, as there are no other restaurants for miles, & there's something on the menu to please everyone. Fountain Lake School is a few miles away. Interior is very casual & homey-feeling ~ employees are friendly & have their teamwork down pat. It's always a race for the tables on the covered porch. Lunch Tuesday - Saturday:: Soup & Salad Bar $6.99 Add Pizza Buffet +$1.50 I ordered a medium 12" Super which was $16.49. I think that must be the meat-eaters. Came in with a party of five for dine-in. Ordered a large stuffed pizza. Waitress told us it takes longer to cook than the thin and asked if we wanted to wait for the 45 minute cook time. We did and ordered salad and breadsticks while we waited. 45 minutes later she came to the table and said they made the wrong pizza and we could either eat the thin crust that they made or wait another 45 minutes for the stuffed. I asked for the check. It is interesting that both of Molly Obrien's proposed solutions were 100% at my expense. Just "eat what we made or waste another hour of your evening." I tried this place after hearing it being raved about. I believe they said it was the best pizza they'd ever had. I had to see for myself! We slid into a booth and ordered a pepperoni pizza and 2 salads. The salad was just the bagged lettuce mix with some dressing on top. I hate that! Why would I spend $3 on a salad that's just lettuce?? While we were waiting for our pizza I noticed in the window seal right next to our booth there were dead flies. Like ALOT of dead flies. Pretty gross. The pizza arrived and I expected Italian heaven in my mouth. It was nothing special, almost flavorless with a thin coat of oil on top. I went into the restroom before we left after our less-than-delicious meal and OMG...it was awful! If I'd visited the restroom before we'd eaten, we would have left hungry. Located right outside of the gated community that IS Hot Springs Village, this cozy little bar was just what we needed after a day of house hunting with the BF's mom. Staff is younger, cute and friendly. We ordered thin crust Chicago style pizza, and order of ribs, and 2 pitchers of ice cold beer!! They have a nice front deck for smoking or if you want to sit outside. They gave us some garlic bread that wasn't quite right.. more like wonder bread with butter spread on it... but we were hungry so we ate it to soak up the flowing beer. Pizza I thought was really good, and i'm not a huge fan of pizza so that's saying a lot. Ribs, not so much. Way overcooked and had a funny taste, like they were maybe oldish or had some freezer burn?? Others reviewers raved about the ribs, and you know taste, everything is subjective. Prices are great. Not even $35.00 for 4 of us for everything, and we took leftovers. So, in all, pizza and beer are great, nice friendly staff, cute little pizza bar. Neat little place just outside the Balboa gate to Hot Springs Village. Evidently there is more than one location and the rumor is that at the one near the West end of the Village the food isn't quite as good. We have only been to the location outside the Balboa gate and have been there nearly every time we have been down over the last 8 years. It has been better than most of the food we have found in the area. Being from Chicago the pizza is not good but the ribs are awesome, though on occasion they are a bit too dry or overcooked so they aren't always consistent. The sauce has great flavor so they can be forgiven the dryness once in a while. The people who work there seem genuinely happy and very friendly. Neat place, good food, great prices. Average tasting pizza on the buffet but the salad bar was fresh. Why I only gave it 1 star? They told us they would charge is double if we didn't clean our plates! They were dead serious! I've eaten here several times. It is one of the only few places to eat around Hot Springs Village, especially near the East gate entrance. Some days I would give them 3.5 stars, some days 2 stars...it's sort of hit and miss with regards to the service here. I went yesterday with family who was in town visiting. The service was horrible. Way to slow. We (there were 4 of us) sat down, ordered our drinks. That didn't take long, but when I needed a refill, it took our waitress a good 10 minutes to walk around again. So no drink for me while I was eating my food. Even when we got our bill (that took a while) it took our waitress about 10 more minutes to pick it up. They do have a sign on the outside of their door saying help wanted, but I have found this place over and over again slow on the service. Currently they are changing the menu. A lot of the food was crossed off. When I visited a few weeks ago, a different waitress stated they were changing some things. I figured by this time it would be fixed. It just doesn't look good when one whole side of the menu has all these "x's" all over it. They have a-OK food. I've had better pizza. I usually get a pizza from here to go, and when I do sit down I get lasagna or calzones. They do have some ribs and BBQ but I haven't tried them yet. read more

Called in an order and was told that they have curbside service. We arrived right on time as the order was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. Well, after 40 minutes the person working curbside came and took the payment and then returned in about 10 minutes with the food. We weren't in a hurry but when you have expectations it doesn't help that they were not met. Still, we were hungary and looking forward to the pie. We ordered a large supreme and it was good, toppings were excellent! Crust wasn't a hit. It was thin crispy and pretty tasteless.
