I really liked the cup design of the drinks! They were so cute. I like that it was a soda can top instead of the usual plastic tops! The drinks came out fairly quickly even though the place was busy near closing. There are some seats inside if you do want to sit, but there's not a ton of space. This little boba shop sits right across from Millennium Park and has a little view of downtown Chicago from the indoor seating. It honestly feels like stepping out of the city for a bit even though you are literally on the Chicago strip. The whole place gives off such cute teahouse vibes and I live for that. They were really busy when I went and it looked like only one person was working. I get that small shop life but waiting a while for a premade cake and two drinks wasn't my favorite part. We also got a small size tanghulu and it was honestly pathetic. 4 of the smallest grapes that they pulled out of a hidden area (what you see in the case is the large size). Could also be that I've been coming around 8pm so people are tired and wanting to go home, though it was fairly empty both Saturday and Sunday night when I went. Drink and dessert wise though, nothing was really great either. I got the coconut panna cotta (expecting melo melo level of smooth and creaminess since prices/aesthetics were similar). The panna cotta was ok, not quite smooth or creamy in the way I expected and had a film on top. I tried my partner's lavendar matcha latte and the matcha was very bitter and had almost a burnt flavor? It was quite unpalatable to me. Second time around, came to try and get a seasonal cup cause why not and I guess they ran out but no notice of that occurring. Brown sugar milk tea with 75% sugar, cold: boba was hard, it was freaking sugar OVERLOAD. I was dying, I could not finish this drink. I usually always finish my drink because I hate wasting. Milk tea with 50% sugar, hot: boba was actually pretty good, chewy and sweet. The tea tasted like water. There was no sugar at all, nor was there any hint of tea. I don't know how the only two options for sweetness here are mountains of sugar, or tepid water with no sugar at all. Absolutely horrendous boba, I can't believe it really gets this bad. read more
