We have been going to Molly's for over 5 years, but I think we will be looking for another groomer. The last 3 times they just haven't done what I asked. I wish they would let me see my dog before I tip. After being rung up and tipping, they bring him and is not what I asked for at all. It looks like i did it myself which if that's the case i would just do it myself and save $70. Maybe they have a new groomer that doesn't understand me. read more

Molly's is AMAZING. She worked with my rescue boxer (who was older and had been abused) to help get her more socialized (and was successful). She always took great care of my animals at daycare and when I was out of town, even administering meds and helping them recover from cancer and surgery. The staff is superfriendly and was always kind to me and my dog. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly for helping you keep your animals healthy, happy, and well cared for. Some more objective (less gushy) points in their favor: they have suite boarding so you can bring your own bedding, they have cameras so you can always see what's going on in the play areas (yay transparency), and they do a good job of working with you when you have a difficult schedule (late nights, travel, etc.), and they're often able to accommodate last-minute requests. read more

I take my dog Sergio to Molly's a couple of times a week, he loves it and more importantly, they love him. When I leave him, I am certain he as in great care. Just a few days ago, they alerted me that he might have an ear infection and indeed he did, I probably wouldn't have figured it out for a couple of days. Molly is the best. She is a font of knowledge about raw feeding, and as someone else pointed out, she has the best prices on Nature's Variety products. I tried several other doggie daycare place. When Molly's was recommended to me I decided to try it. I'm glad I did. I am very happy to be a repeat customer at Molly's Mutt House. Molly and her staff are very friendly and I feel they take good care of my dog. I love the fact that I can see her during the day on their Mutt Cam. This is important to me because some other places barely let you in the door. I also use their grooming services and have been very happy with them. I'm a fairly new dog owner so I don't have a set idea of what kind of cut she should have. They give me suggestions and when Belle comes out she looks good. I have yet to use their boarding services, but if I needed to I would not hesitate to bring her here. Been taking our dogs to Mollys since we moved to Oak Forest last year. We have always been pleased with the service, as well as the sight of our happy healthy dogs safely back with us everytime we pick them up. The owner is often behind the front desk and always friendly. They even let us pick up an hour after the normal pickup time once when we got caught in a massive traffic jam on I-10. If I had one complaint (and it might not even be a complaint), as mentioned in another review, our dogs are extremely thirsty when we pick them up. This might just be the dogs not drinking as much due to separation anxiety or something else though...so I cant truly call it a complaint. All in all I'd gladly recommend Mollys! read more

I have gone back and forth on writing this, but seeing my dog in so much discomfort really gave me no choice. I don't want others to experience this. I have taken my Golden Doodle in before and they actually did a great job, and called me to tell me he needed to be shaved in places. I allowed it, told them not to shave him all over, and they didn't. He looked great and was actually groomed. I did find a mat on his face later that was from dried blood due to a cut they had not told me about. I took my dog back this week (3 months later), and addressed the cut. They were very apologetic and said that groomer had been fired. I let them know my dog was matted around his ears and the top of his head, and I understood if they could not really do anything with that part. So I left feeling comfortable with everything, knowing they would call with any issues. Well they did not call, and I arrived to pick up my fluffy Golden doodle...except I did not even recognize my dog. He is literally shaved to his bare skin except for a poof of the end of his tail. I'm talking the poor guy does not even have eyelashes. After paying $81.00 for them to do this and expressing my outrage, one manager told me she just didn't know what to say. I returned home because I was so upset, and began to check out my dog. If found cuts and blood all over him...on his neck, in his ears, and on his belly. I called back and a second manager was very kind, explained it is not their protocol for the groomer not to call before they shave a dog, and refunded my money. Let me be clear, it is NOT about the money. I would pay double to make sure my pup is taken care of. Now this poor guy has scabs all over his body, and is constantly itching and so uncomfortable. Its just heartbreaking to see. They were even joking saying they "had to sheer him like a sheep". Had they called and told me this I would have picked him up right then. You never know what you are going to get with some places, and this is one of them. I not going to take that chance at the expense of my dog again. . read more

Love, love Molly's. Usually my dog is excited to see me and get home but when we go to Molly's he always acts disappointed that I am there to take him home. The staff at Molly's is amazing and very friendly. My only complaint is that I wish it was closer to me so that we could go more often! read more

This is one of the first places that I tried grooming, for my dog. Is actually 30 min away from where I stay now, tried different places that are closer to my place and from work but there was always something wrong with the other ones, so I rather do the driving than taking my dog somewhere else that is not safe for her or they cut her skin. read more

Made an appointment mid-week to get my dog's hair cut. Came by with my medical paperwork, and dumped him off. My dog, Boerne, loves this place. The people who work here are super friendly and they get the job done quick. The price is reasonable, so that's great too! read more

Took my dog here to be groomed for the first time yesterday. I'm still trying out places to find the "one" that will be my regular place. They were able to get us in with only two days notice, which is very nice when you put things off until the last minute. I had a three hour window in the morning to drop him off in, and they called when he was ready in the afternoon. He came back just the way I had asked--very short, not too much poof on top, and he smelled good! I was a bit disappointed with his ears, they were shorter and neater than when I brought him in, but not clean as the rest of him. In the shop they sell all-natural dog treats made in Austin/the Hill Country--pigs ears, jerky, bones, etc.--which is very good to know since most treats like that, even if you buy them at a well-known natural food chain, are from China. They also sell grooming products, food and other dog accessories, but the (nearly) locally sourced natural treats were the best find for me. We will go back, since they are conveniently located, have the best dog treats, are friendly and I have a feeling that if I ask them to pay special attention to his ears, they will. read more

We use the in-home pet sitting service that's offered through Molly's and absolutely could not be happier with it. Leigh Anne is clearly a dog person and our boxer, Athena, adores her. My favorite part is that you can log on to the site while you are away and read Leigh Anne's notes about each visit, detailing how much food and water was eaten, when the dog went potty and what they did on their walks, which is very reassuring for nervous pet parents. I honestly think Athena wishes we would go out of town more so her buddy Leigh Anne could come visit! The price is comparable to all other pet sitting around town, but I think the level of service is so much higher! Oh, they'll also bring in your paper and mail and water your plants at no extra charge if you ask! read more

We love Molly's Mutthouse!! We used to take our dogs there for daycare, but now that we live in Sugar Land, it's too far to drive. We still take our dogs there for boarding (and they go to daycare during the day when being boarded) - we love knowing that our dogs are being well-cared for while we are traveling. It gives us peace of mind and we can enjoy our vacation. I also like that we can get online to check on them - my dogs are my babies. One of my dogs is high-maintenance - she gets finicky about eating when she's not at home - Molly and her staff have been phenomenal in caring for her - to the point of even buying her real chicken to eat one time when she refused the canned and dry food that I had sent with her. This is the only place I trust to take care of my fur-babies. read more

I have taken my dog here twice, and both times they have ignored my grooming requests. Basically, my dog was shaved both times; the second time they didn't even trim all the hair in his paws right (plenty of really long strands). My dog was very depressed after the first time for the next two days. I don't care how close they are, I will not be bringing my dog back there. read more

If you love your pet, DO NOT take them here! My dog has been traumatized by them...first they cut his face, then they neglected to call me all day to let me know he was ready after grooming. The loud mouth woman at the front desk then argued with me, stating that she had called. No calls or messages from these people on my phone. They are fairly rude and their staff is a little scary. Seriously, there are other places in this area that actually seem to care about your pet, not just making money. read more

I have gone 3 times- 2 grooming appointments and 1 boarding. 2 out of 3 times they forgot to put the dogs collars back on so I has to drive all the way back to pick them up. The one time for boarding we left the dog's crate with them so that she can sleep in it. There was pee all over it and they didn't bother cleaning it up. I agree with one of the other comments about how it is weird that they do not allow you to see the facility. I was suppose to be given a tour but they couldn't because it can only be done at a certain time. Their prices aren't that much better for the services rendered so I won't be going back. read more

I've only used the Pet Relief offered by Molly's Mutt House to care for my dog when we were gone for a long weekend. My dog is very people dependent and doesn't play well with other dogs so I was so happy that this was an alternative to boarding her. She absolutely loved it (did better than we have had friends stay with her for a few days). I appreciated the notes that the staff left and felt comfortable having them in my home. They even did the extras like alternating lights and bringing in my mail as well. Highly recommend and I know our pup would too! read more

We have been bringing Lizzy & Lucas to Molly's Mutt House since 2007. The Mutt house has open range daycare where they get to play with other dogs that match their temperament and size. They haven open range boarding, suit, and kennel boarding. Lizzy and Lucas like the open range option. Staff watch over the dogs all the time. During daycare they get water, potty breaks and snacks if you like. During the hot months, they even get pool time. They administer medication if you require it. They have 3 webcams if you want to check in on your dogs while in daycare. Daycare and boarding rooms are gated and extremely safe , so you never worry about a dog getting out. They also do pet sitting and dog walks. Molly's Mutt House also has a nice retail store, with Premium Holistic , Healthy pet food. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will do their best to get it for you. The Mutt House also has a wide variety of treats and chews. They also carry several lines of toy, leashes, collars. I can also recommend their dog training program, I was one the lucky one to be in the 1st class and we got a lot of one on one time. As far as the owner and the staff, I save the best for last. Molly is very knowledgeable about animals, pet care, and very personable. She is also hands on, working behind the desk, working with the dogs and staff. The Mutt House staff are all very professional and friendly. I have never had a negative experience at Molly's Mutt House. You are not a number, they know you and your dogs names. If you're a regular you have got to know them as friends. When I leave Lizzy & Lucas at the Mutt House, I know that they will be well taken care of and secure and safe. That means a lot to me. read more

I left my 3 babies here for a week when their regular boarding place was all booked up with no availability. I have no complaints. I do wish they had web cams so we can check up on them. I started taking my dog Holly to Molly's Mutt House over 7 years ago so she could have company and stimulation while I was at work. I've boarded Holly at Molly's many times over the years with confidence. This past week, when I boarded Holly, the staff observed a urinary infection and contacted me immediately. They took her to the vet, had her treated and medicated. I doubt I would ever have noticed that Holly had a problem.
