Finally made a point to stop in on a weekday for lunch and was not disappointed! The burger I ordered was huge, and delicious. It was full halfway through. Considered bringing half home, but couldn't stop myself and finished the whole thing and took all the energy I had not to take a nap right there. Great food and beer selection, great atmosphere, and service was phenomenal. I will come back any chance I get.

Super friendly, attentive, and kept things moving even though they were slammed. We ordered the spicy strawberry margaritas. They don't carry Ghost tequila, so they made them with fresh jalapeños and their house tequila instead, and they came out really good. Someone else in our group ordered an espresso martini and ended up getting a second one because he liked it so much. We took advantage of the buy one get one lobster roll special and also ordered the steak tips with a bunch of sides. The dill pickle potato salad was pretty good, the baked beans were really flavorful, and the mac and cheese was probably my favorite. The street corn was a close second. The mashed potatoes could've used a little more seasoning, and the Caesar salad was just your standard Caesar. The only thing that disappointed me was the steak tips. We ordered them medium, but they came out well done and didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting after hearing so many people rave about them. The lobster rolls were okay, but honestly they weren't anything to write home about. If you're really craving a lobster roll, I'd rather spend a little more and get one on the coast. I also wish the bun had been a little more buttered and toasted. Overall, I still had a great experience because the service was excellent. The bartender mentioned Mondays and Tuesdays are their busiest nights because of the buy one get one lobster roll special, so maybe that played a part. I'll definitely come back and give it another shot because way too many people have recommended this place for me to judge it off one visit. It just didn't quite live up to the hype this time.

Big Dog Pub opened recently in Deerfield, in the former Ma's Cafe & Tavern (moved to Northwood)…read more They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks. This cozy space has table seating along the walls and seating up at the full service bar. There is dog related country decor and a digital jukebox. There is also another informal dining room across the hall. This new "Big Dog" pub in Deerfield is not to be confused with "Big Dog" eats in Milford and "Big Dawg's" eatery in Haverhill (Bradford) MA. The breakfast menu offers a selection of egg dishes, omelets, pancakes, French toast, waffles, breakfast sandwiches and sides. The lunch/dinner menu offers a selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, flatbreads, pizzas, chicken entrees, pasta, and seafood. They have switched from standard fries to hand cut fries. There are posted specials on the board. The bar offers limited draft beers, beer bottles/cans, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. The prices seem fair and they offer happy hour 3-5pm. I stopped by Big Dog Pub for dinner recently during the week. I was greeted and told I could sit at any open table I'd like. The seating at the bar was busy, so I sat at an open metal table next to the bar. The server brought over a menu to look over. I decided on the Fish & Chips special ($16 plus tax) and the Sweet Sausage Sautee ($15 plus tax). Both entrees came out together in 17 minutes. The portions were good on both. The fish & chips were very hot, crispy coating on the outside, tartar sauce on the side. The hand cut fries were firm and tasty. The shredded creamy cole slaw was sweet & tangy. The sautee dish had a mix of al dente cavatappi pasta tossed in a light cream tomato sauce with peppers, onions, small sausage bits and shaved parmesan cheese. I managed to finish both entrees and got the check with Toast QR code which was $33.64 with tax and before tip. The internet is very weak in this part of Deerfield, so had to pay the normal way. Overall, I enjoyed a great filling meal at Big Dog Pub. I will have to return here for breakfast!

Our family of 4 had each mixed feelings about this place…read more It was clean. The cakes in the dessert case were pretty. Seated right away. Waitress was nice enough, but a bit distracted and we had to repeat our order a couple of times. Wait seemed long. We all liked aspects of their food, but didn't like others. The hash browns had zero flavor/seasoning and were a bit soggy. They were the base of my meal, so it was very disappointing. The kielbasa in it was browned nicely, but didn't make up for it. My husband's omelette oddly had a Kraft single melted on the top of it. C'mon. The "pan potatoes" were hard, dry, and uniform, clearly frozen. Again, not a lot of seasoning. Homefries should shine in a breakfast meal! Chili in the omelette tasted suspiciously like Hormel in a can. He did enjoy the biscuit and gravy, and that's hard to make happen. My daughter thought the sourdough was good. It was over $100.00 for our meal, the prices were a little steep, especially for what they were - average breakfast food, at best. I feel bad saying that, but there didn't seem to be a lot of pride in the food.

Always comfortable! The food: Let me start by saying, I am SUPER picky about Alfredo because I firmly believe no one can make it better than me. This Alfredo is very close in flavor BUT my pizza was dry and I wanted some for dipping on the side. I would have had to order a batch of Alfredo bc they make it to order...that's great and all, until you are in my situation and need some on the side. I was bummed. The sirloin was delicious and perfectly cooked but the green beans were hard and raw. I like them at least a-little soft and warm. The fettuccine Alfredo and the trio were absolutely delicious! I do highly recommend checking this place out. We will be back!

We started with the brussel sprouts which were broiled perfectly and drizzled with a balsamic and Parmesan. I had a salted caramel espresso martini that was amazing and my husbands jack and diet was strong so he sipped all night. Dinner is served with fresh bread and an oil/balsamic dipping bowl. Fresh bread is always a nice touch, especially in a cold night. Our entrees were both a fettuccine, mine was lobster tail with shrimp and chicken, and my husband was a traditional Alfredo. Pasta was perfect, the lobster was fishy but good with the sauce. For dessert, they were out of the chocolate torte but the creme brulee cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake were delicious. It was busy but we were able to enjoy our meal, lots of conversation but a great place to go with a group or a date night
