We had dinner in the Dining Room at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. StoneOld had the "Prime" Rib. At $39.99 for 16 Ounces, it seemed to be well priced and her expectations were high. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. She ordered it cooked Medium. When it arrived at the table, it was barely warm and extremely rare. It was barely cooked. The huge wad of unrendered fat evidenced the fact that it had seen very little heat. The Waiter assured her that he would take it back and have it made right. When it came back, it appeared to be the same piece of meat that had been reheated. My guess is that they submerged it in Au Jus (basically boiling it) to hasten the cooking process. It should never have left the Kitchen in the first place and the second effort was not much of an improvement. The accompanying Mashed Potatoes were dry and unappetizing. Asparagus was scant but good. I had the Beet Salad with Grilled Chicken. It was excellent. Sadly, the "Prime" Rib debacle will keep us from going back for Dinner. Their wheelhouse seems to be more geared towards Pub style offerings. read more

We ended up at Jamison's this past Friday evening, as we could not get into On the Corner Grill, as the wait was too long. We got right in here and was seated in the back dining room. Big menu...and pricey! I could not belive the prices! $30 for chicken pot pie, and for fish & chips...wow! We were conservitive and just got draft beers and a pizza and a burger. THe pizza was just ok, and the burger over cooked and just underwelming. Service was spotty and semi pleasant. I do not belive we will be returning anytime soon, and we are locals. read more

The list of things done wrong for the wedding rehearsal dinner is so long, I'll start with a bulleted summary: 1. Lost the reservation for the room. 2. Lost the reservation for the room AGAIN. 3. Food was obviously cooked days in advance and heated up for the event. 4. Double charged (charged a deposit then charged the full amount on the final bill) 5. Never refunded the overcharge. We started out by booking the room. I called a few weeks later because I thought it was odd that I was never asked for a deposit. They said the room was not booked by anyone that night! I quickly re-booked the room and paid them a deposit. The bride then called a few days later to give them our chosen menu items. She found that room was NOT booked for that night again. She re-re-booked the room. I was seriously expecting to show up the night of the event and be told we didn't have the room! The room was fine (it was a typical converted basement room), the single person service was adequate, but the food was the worst I've experienced. The shrimp would give a super-ball a run for its money. It was either forgotten in the oven or cooked twice. The Chicken Alfredo (notice I didn't say Chicken Broccoli Alfredo since there must have been a broccoli shortage that week) was "leftover quality" at best. You know how the sauce gets all sucked up into the pasta when you re-heat Alfredo the next day? Exactly! I quickly paid the bill on the way out the door, happy to leave. I had forgotten that I had left a deposit. I called the next day to ask for a refund. I was only able to reach voicemail that asked me to leave a message but then didn't allow me to leave a massage ("click"). The same was true three days later. The following week, I finally reached the manager. He said he would look into it and get back to me. Of course, that never happened. A week later, I was unable to break the fake voice mail firewall. I tried several times since and have been unable to reach the venue. So.... If you choose this venue for your function, I wish you all the luck in the world. You will need it. read more

I haven't been here in almost a year due to the last experience. (Poor service and food.) I used come often or get take out but quality was declining. I received a gift card so gave it another try. We were seated next to large parties/tables when most of the dining room was free. Fries that came with sandwiches were soggy and limp, as if microwaved and dumped on the plate. Been here twice recently. Chicken salad sandwich was tasty, on the second visit they ran out of it (must be a popular item!). Second time had the turkey Blt. Surprising delicious. I didn't think the prices were too bad. The male bartender was busy as heck and still gave great service. A big bar, lots of tv's and plenty of table seating. We go out every Thursday and try to pick a different spot. We found Jamison's on a whim. My wife had a flatbread pizza (duck and pear) while I had a braised beef and root vegetable over pasta. Both outstanding! Service was perfect, very attentive without hovering. The location was not as expected but a nice high end modern sports bar. A-lot of TVs for games...a place we are definitely going to go back to...menu is extensive and everything looked great. For a Thursday afternoon fairly busy for the location. A keeper! read more

My husband and I ordered the scallop appetizer with pork belly which the very small three scallops arrived cold and undercooked. The price was $18.00 We decided to split the fish and chips dinner. The haddock was coated in a very heavy batter and the haddock was paper thin and overdone. The hand cut fries were greasy and soggy. When asked by our server how we liked our meal, we voiced our disappointment. The Manager then came over to our table and indicated that we would have to pay 1/2 price for the dinner which was $15.00 to us. We had literally not taken more than the one bite of the fish and then placed our fork and knife on the plate and pushed the plate away. It was that unappetizing. Upon reading the menu we thought that Jamison's was attempting to be a restaurant that served comfort food with a gourmet flair. They certainly missed the mark. I booked a function for October 26 for 37 adults & 5 children. We were seated in their beautiful dining room with a gorgeous view of the peaking fall foliage. The room is large & will accommodate many more than our 42 guests. It has a lovely fireplace & a private bar with a TV. Important for some guests that wanted to watch the Patriots win another one. The food was delicious! My guest were served Chicken cordon bleu, that was juicy & tender with a slightly sweet crunchy coating. Yummy! & served in the perfect portion sizes. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering steak tips for a buffet but they were awesome. Cooked perfectly to a Med rare to med. If you like your beef a little more well done some of the thinner tips were perfect for you. The meal got so many compliments. Included were warm rolls & butter, a lovely garden salad with 2 dressing options, roasted red potatoes & perfectly cooked & served broccolini. Coffee, tea & soft drinks were included ,along with cookies & brownies for dessert. We did bring our own cake that was cut & plated at no extra charge. There was plenty of food. Many went up for 2nd's & all the left overs were wrapped up for me to take home. I enjoyed that meal again the next day. Our waitress, Gill & Lisa were friendly, accommodating & on top of their game. My partner and I just enjoyed an immensely awesome experience here! Cannot recommend highly enough. Do yourself the biggest favor and request Kyle as your server. Not only is the menu thoughtful and inventive, but Kyle is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and attentive. No matter how busy, you'll be made to feel like the only table in his section -- seriously, take extra care of our buddy! We were ravenous, so we ordered the leek & goat cheese ravioli (an entrée dish) as a starter. My partner had The Slaughterhouse, and I had the lamb tips. Here is where Kyle really shone, and why you need to know this young man's name. I HATE having to send food back. I rarely do it. I ordered the tips rare-to-medium-rare, and while the dish was beautifully presented and the flavor was a knockout, the tips were well-done. I just don't like the taste or texture of very cooked red meat. Plus, the restaurant was near closing. I told Kyle that if it was quick & simple to correct the doneness, that would be great, but I honestly DID NOT want to keep anyone from going home, and would gladly prefer to eat the tips as-is, in lieu of holding anyone up. He was super gracious, brought back an impeccable new plate, and then surprised us with blueberry cheesecake gelato for dessert (which, by the way, was divine). This place was OK, not great though. Very questionable interior design choices. It has the bones of a nice wood and steel motif that someone inexplicably covered in blue upholstery, and chandeliers that look like UFOs... And oh my Jesus... Yes, matching wall sconces. The service was pleasant, the beer listing was better than the wine list. The menu was an eclectic mess though, all the continents were represented but with no rhyme or reason... Continuity from appetizer to entree was quite difficult to accomplish, to the point that we skipped appetizers. It felt like there was just no appetizer / entree combination that was an appealing one, two combination. The quality of the food was there but I think the lobster in my surf and turf was microwaved so it was rock solid and had no flavor (overcooked to death regardless of method.) The filet on the same dish was over charred and it threw the flavor off terribly. The rest of the dish was decent. My wife's said her dish was executed perfectly, a steak tip burrito bowl. We may try it again and just eat on the tavern side, and stick to a few apps and beers. I think that may be in the wheel house for this one. read more

Our family stopped in at Jamison's for a recent birthday event on a Saturday evening. Luckily we had reservations as it was extremely busy and we were seated on time. My initial impression was on the noise factor. It was earsplitting loud, even though there was no music. I could not hear any of the conversation at my table just a few seats down, it was that loud. Our server looked stressed, as they appeared to be understaffed and he had multiple large tables plus he filled in at the bar. But he stayed attentive to us. He was the highlight of the visit. I'm not a drinker so I just ordered a simple ginger ale for drink. It was severely watered down. I ordered their fish and chips and was quite disappointed. First off our meals were served and we looked at each other as nobody had silverware. It took a few minutes to flag the manager and point this out. It took a few more minutes to receive a pile of rolled up silverware for us to distribute. By now my meal was luke warm at best. The fried haddock was a thin over fried filet that was dry with burnt edges. The tartar sauce had no relish in it. It tasted close to ranch dressing. The cole slaw side had a very bland dressing of its own. There was a bed of dry lettuce on the plate, I assume for color only. The hand cut fries were sitting underneath the fish and turned limp. The few fries on the side were nice. I wish they were all on the side of the fish. Others in the party were also disappointed with their meals. The one meal that I heard was enjoyable was the lobster and crab cakes special. I almost ordered that myself. I wish I had. read more

First off I want to say the food was ok but I did the signature Jamison's burger the burger was not very visibly appealing but did have a good taste to it. The side of fries was terrible very small and seemed like the bottom of the frozen bag. The other dish on the table was a Cesar salad and was said to not be very good. The biggest thing was awful service. Slow staff and did not check in on us one time. Waited 15 minutes for drink refills after walking past a number of times. We have been going to Jamison's for the past 4 years. We have also brought many friends here. Over the past year and a half we have seen an increase in prices. This is happening everywhere so it was never an issue for us. Tonight that changed, My husband has always loved the fried fish and tonight that is what he ordered. The cost was $26 which would have not been an issue if the size of the fish was adequate. The fish he received was no bigger than a deck of cards. We asked the server about the size and he told us he would speak with the Mgr, but he told us that he has noticed over the past few months the portion sizes getting smaller. The Mgr never came over, very disappointed as we supported this business through Covid as we didn't want to see them close. We are now stopping to pick up dinner for my hubby on the way home after just spending $82 at Jamison's for what was supposed to be dinner. read more

Being a snobby eater, it takes a lot to please my palate. Yet, Jamison's never disappoints . Quite frankly, we have always had an excellent experience at Jamisons. Including during the pandemic! My husband and I love this place. We have started going every Thursday for supper. Every meal we get is fabulous. The chicken tenders appetizer is a must try. Every flavor is awesome! We have yet to try something that we don't love on this menu and we have tried quite a few meals. The service is always great. Its perfectly loud so you can talk without thinking someone hears your conversations but not too loud where you cant hear each other talk. The brick oven for the pizza is visible in the dining and bar area which is cool to watch. Try the pizza, its fantastic! ALL the wait staff is just awesome and friendly. If you're really lucky, you will get Thomas. He is very attentive with drinks always on the table and has a great memory with your orders. But, like I said, everyone has been great! We decided to try Jamison's for the first time Sunday night after reading about it on the web. We arrived just after 7 PM. Although there were people in the lounge eating, the doors were locked. We stopped a man who was going to his car who said it was open. He went back with us and was surprised that it was locked since he just came out. We finally roused a waitperson going by the door. She said the kitchen was closed. We mentioned that it said open until 10 online (posted 3 weeks previously) and she assured us the mistake would be corrected. The bartender made fresh cocktails with extra attention to details. Really good and a pleasant surprise. Once we were seated in the more formal dining area we opened up with the beet salad which was fresh and delicious. For the entrees we shared the surf and turf which had the meat cooked to perfect tenderness and the "surf" portion was shrimp and fresh shelled crab with gnocchi ... Had been going to Jamison's since opening and always loved it. The Filet Oscar was incredible. The service has always been great. The music is always loud and hard to hear the person that is sitting next to you. The Filet Oscar that I mention went from 34 dollars to 46 dollars in less than a year! Another example of change is the fish and chips... very good but not 30 dollars very good. With these price increases we will not be back and have not been there going on a year. Our pizza was very good. Caesar salad had brown spots on the end of the romaine but it was still very good Romaine was probably cut with a knife. Coffee was too too strong not everyone enjoys a dark French roast. Dessert was very enjoyable but was almost frozen and we had to let it sit to enjoy it. Service was exceptional ! Ambiance was lacking - it was daytime and very dark in inside - no lights on in the dining area but all TVs were on around the bar. The handicapped electronic door openers did not work. Please accept this review as constructive and improve on the simple things like the door openers and lighting. read more

We've tried this place a couple times now. 5 out of 5 stars for service. Our waiter was excellent. Interesting cocktails with strange (albeit intriguing) ingredients (looking at you sneaky rye with your creamy corn which was delicious) The issue is the food, which is mid AT BEST and not worth the price. I.e. Overcooked pasta that falls apart with every attempt to pick it up, mouthfuls of straight up raw garlic on the garlic bread, raw jalapeños with the seeds on a plate, fried cauliflower the size of a child's fist and therefore not cooked all the way through when fried. Truffle fries were decent, as were the taco egg rolls. My daughter enjoyed the plain cheeseburger and fries we ordered for her. Look, if you want to go to a place with a good ambiance where you can watch a game and get a drink or two, get something simple like a burger or something hard to mess up. If you're a "foodie" and want to dine on some GOOD food I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

Came here to watch Sunday football and to eat and drink. My waitress was pleasant but it took her a while to come over to the table - it wasn't busy. We ordered wings and nachos. The Jamison glazed wings were great! I loved the flavor. The Nachos were ok - a ton of plain chips and tomatoes (not a big tomato fan). But it had a big scoop of guacamole which was a plus! We ordered the nachos with chicken and I found 4 small chicken pieces under the HUGE pile of chips, so I was a bit disappointed with the amount of chicken for the up charge. But nonetheless, they were tasty. I ordered a beer flight which was good - they had lots of beer options so it helped me decide which to order. **side note** they had a long drink special list which included a fall themed sangria with Jack Fire ... I asked if I could order a regular sangria and they informed me it wasn't possible (weird). The food was fine, beer flight was yummy, service was ok.
