I came here for the first time to an amazing baby shower where the momma to be reserved the entire outdoor patio for her shower. It was spacious enough to have a manned bar cart, a photo backdrop, and a long buffet line. Tricky directions take you to the adjacent valet kiosk for another restaurant and I know they are so tired of redirecting cars to the private community Lido Peninsula where you have to get a parking pass for 2 hours and can't venture outside of the restaurant area. The food was beautifully presented. The shaved parmasean on the Caesar was memorable as well as the steamed branzino. I was impressed by the level of service for our party of 70!

First time in and we sat inside and had Alex as our waiter. We were seated indoors, it's super cute inside but it got to be pretty loud where you had to talk over the other tables. We ordered a bunch of plates to share. Everything we had was delicious, the pastas were a favorite.

Had a fun time at this spot. Great service & great espresso martini! I will say the fish dishes fell short, the flavor of the lobster pasta and the mussels both had an overpowering ocean/briny taste, maybe the fish past their prime? With an ammonia-like smell. We couldn't eat much of either, so that was disappointing. Enjoyed the appetizers though! The staff was incredibly nice & attentive and the environment was really cute--Love the outdoor section.

Food was fine nothing out of this world. Was expecting more flavor for it being authentic Italian. The shrimp gnocchi was by far the best one. Our waiter was awesome! Very friendly and recommended us some good wine. He also gave us samples of two wines before we had to decide. I will say the vibe here is very cute. Low lighting and intimate. Perfect for a date or for dinner with the girls. Probs won't come back again though

The best burnt spaghetti and affogato I ever had. Great outside patio service. Also loved the fruit prosciutto appetizers.

Love that there's free parking because it's always a struggle to find parking in Newport. It's kind of hidden, you have to go into a private neighborhood and I would recommend making reservations because this place is sooo popular. I ordered the cacio e pepe with black truffle and garlic bread with caesar salad. I ended with a tiramisu which I'm still thinking of to this day! We sat outside in the patio area and it was very romantic. Such a good date night spot

The dessert took my breath away. Lentils with the squid were a bit too salty. But everything else was good. Tucked away from the busy streets. Hidden gem

MOLO is a very intimate Romantic Italian restaurant . The ambiance gives you great opportunities to take some great photos lX Service is ok not good and not bad. Food was okay felt kind of bland The price point was mid to high but I think you just paying for the vibes tbh.

The meatballs were a delicious appetizer paired with the garlic Bread using it for the leftover sauce. The lasagna was amazing it felt like it was made by someone's grandmother and was the best plate ordered. The Cacio e Pepe was a bit disappointing because I thought we were gonna get it made in a cheese wheel because I had saw a video on that. The flavor wasn't all that and I'd probably pass if I go again. The risotto was delicious but it was one of the last to come out and I was getting full but it was very light dish. The shrimp n potato Gnocci was delicious and had a great sauce I'd definitely reorder. Service was great the staff was very attentive and wouldn't let water go unfilled. It was a beautiful lil spot near the ocean with a nice interior and huge mirrors.

Hidden gem worth making the trip here! I'm so glad my co worker recommended and didn't gate keep her fave Italian restaurant. The atmosphere here is great with their sheltered outdoor seating you still get the perfect amount of sunlight, breeze and fresh air. Service was fast when we came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch around noon. We didn't need reservations. We had the following: Clams 10/10 light refreshing and perfect amount of flavor Calamari 8/10 Penne all a vodka ; 8/10 it wasn't cooked enough the pasta but was very good

I love the vibe of this place. The location is super cool and it definitely feels like a hidden gem in Newport Beach. We started with the garlic bread and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the bolognese and it was amazing, rich and full of flavor. Unfortunately, we also ordered the vodka pasta and it was not great at all. It tasted like bare noodles with zero flavor, which was really surprising. I am knocking it down a star for that dish. They also do not have their full liquor license yet, so the cocktails are not the best. the wine is so good though! However, the service was really good and the highlights were truly great. I loved the bolognese enough that I would come again, but I would definitely skip the vodka pasta. Overall, one eh dish doesn't ruin it for me! I would come back and try more without a doubt!!

Spicy Vodka Gnocchi, Margarita Pizza, Broccolini, Cacio e Pepe

Why is no one talking about this place? Hidden behind the Lido area is this beautiful Italian gem that feels so warm and homey, it literally felt like walking into an Italian grandma's house. We got the cacio e pepe and the spicy vodka gnocchi, and WOW so fresh and delicious. The gnocchi could have used just a bit more sauce, but honestly, that's only because it was THAT good. Paired it with broccolini, but next time I'm definitely reserving a table on the patio and pairing it with some wine as well. We also tried a pizza, which was great and you can tell it was made from scratch but the pasta really steals the show. Our server was a cute Italian guy, was so endearing, and his accent honestly made the whole experience even more charming lol. This place is a hidden treasure don't sleep on it!

I really love the food here. I got the shrimp gnocchi twice and it was consistently just as good. This was the closest gnocchi I had to when I was in Italy at my favorite restaurant. Service is great and all the dishes my family have gotten were very good as well. Ambiance is white table cloths and dim lighting inside but not stuffy, a place you'd go for a nice or casual dinner with your family/friends!

It looked like there were two locations, but we ended up at this one as it was on the way to the store. - PARKING - Street parking, but luckily there's tons of spaces up and down the street. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - We came around 6:30pm on a Saturday and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We had to go to the store anyways so we decided to go out and come back. The timing was about perfect and they sat us when we returned. Really welcoming environment - huge shout out to Jeremy who was our main server. He was warm and inviting, and honestly made the meal that much better. We let him know it was our first times and they ended up bringing out free cheese ravioli and pink sauce for us to try - this only solidified our picks but we were all so appreciative of the extra mile the staff went. It's not a huge restaurant, only about 10 tables that seat mainly 2-4 people. - FOOD - Meat/Spinach Ravioli: So happy they let us know we could mix and match the ravioli! I preferred the Meat Ravioli but was happy to have been able to try the Spinach as well. The marinara sauce that's served under the Ravioli is perfectly tart. Sausage and Chicken Capri: We swapped out the spaghetti for rigatoni to really soak up that pink sauce! Great option if you want a delicious sauce with some protein already included! They even gave us complimentary cookies at the end, and they noted that it usually satisfies the sweet tooth for customers - it did for us! - OVERALL - Great vibes, great food, great service!

The tortellini was equally as delicious as the lasagna flavor wise but in my preference, it really needed a lot more alfredo sauce, as it was pretty dry. Meat filled ravioli is good but not as memorable as the other dishes, and the marinara sauce was just okay.

We called ahead of time to let the restaurant know of the party number change and the hostess noted it. When we arrived at the hostess stand, both hostesses did not acknowledge or greet us. When they finally acknowledged us (they were gossiping the entire time), they were rude, short, and bothered. They told us to wait a minute while they set up the table; the hostess came back and asked if it was 5. We told her we called and changed to 3 and she did not know what we were talking about. Therefore they did not have a table ready for us inside and stuck us outside. We complied and accepted the outdoor table. Next, the worker who was bringing out the food was extremely rude. We were working on our first appetizer and she said "are you done with that or not?" We put the last of it on our plates and said she could take it. She rolled her eyes at us and grabbed the plate. While grabbing it, her arms rubbed my wine glass and where I sip from. She looked at me, made a bothered face, and walked away. I have never been to a restaurant with such rude service. We also had an unfortunate circumstance while dining and one of our party members needed to go to the Urgent Care. She was having extreme chest pain and shortness of breath. We asked the staff to bring to go boxes and the check due to this emergency. They moved very slowly and did not give a care in the world despite our urgency. We will not be dining here again. I hope they train their staff on manners, service, and hospitality. The two stars are for the apps we were able to try: artichoke and eggplant. Our actual server also decent but still lacked a sense of urgency. It is obviously not the staffs fault that we were in that situation, but they treated us like they couldn't wait to get us out to serve the next table.

There is limited parking at the front of the restaurant so i would recommend carpooling here if possible. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by the very humble, sweet, and charismatic owner, Donatella. She was the sweetest and we felt right at home upon entering. She allowed us to pick our seats since there was various opened seats and brought us our water, appetizer plates, and utensils. Just for a bit of context she did stated they had moved to this location because there were properties being bought for construction at the original area they were at. She originated from Sicily, Italy so we were excited to know this is legit Italian food. We ordered ourselves the Calamari Luciana, Focaccia bread, and Facci ri Veccia for starters. For our main course, we got the Ravioletti alla Bolognese, Linguine alla Pescatora, and Lasagna. For our drinks we got their famous Pistachio Dream Cream Martini and a Mocktail of the Moment (which changes eat time you order). Calamari Luciana - 4.5/5 it was to die for! The calamari itself was not too chewy. It was sauteed calamari; the tomato sauce it was drenched and is perfectly homemade in house by their chef in its olive oil, garlic, basil, oregano, and white wine. It was fine on its own, but I would highly recommend dipping the focaccia bread to complement with it. Focaccia brea - 5/5 perfectly moist, soft and was just a bit of addiction. Very good shareable amount, but I would warn you that it is dangerously delicious. Facci ri Veccia 5/5 Pizza with imported crecenza cheese, parma prosciutto, truffle oil and is made in their stone oven back in the kitchen. The crust was perfectly crispy to perfection because their dough is 80% dried out before putting it in the oven. The game changer was that amazing imported cheese. It's not too heavy and was easy on the stomach (mind you I am lactose intolerant). The truffle oil just brought that lightness to each bite and a little subtle umami flavor. Ravioletti alla Bolognese - 4/5 their ravioli braised wagyu beef and veal drenched in bolognese meat sauce and a touch of cream. I can see the love in this dish but it's not really for me. I do believe it's a bit more on the dry side even with the meat sauce and it could be due to the type of protein, but someone that is adventurous with their food and meat may come to love this dish. Linguine alla Pescatora - 5/5 This was my kind of dish!!! Perfect sauce with their white wine and white sauce immersion into the linguine dish. It comes with assorted fish, shrimp, scallops, mussels, and clams. I'm a huge seafood lover and can be very particular with their freshness and quality. This definitely hit all the bullet points. It was perfectly creamy and salty. Lasagna - 5/5 We couldn't finish this because at this point we were so full and realized we over ordered, but I did take a bite and it was just to die for! I ended up bringing it home for my partner to try and he loved it! It is the same protein (Wagyu veal & beef ragu) layered with the pasta sheets, ricotta, mozzarella, bachamel, and parmigiano cheese. In other words, all the cheese you can think of put into one dish. Pistachio Dream Cream Martini - 5/5 Extremely strong, creamy, and just delicious. My cousin devoured the drink. Overall, we had such a great experience and fun time there along with the owner. I definitely want to come back and they do have a small intimate room you can RSVP for private parties.
