Located in Gunbarrel in Boulder nestled between Niwot and Boulder this custom and production builder makes some the best bikes in the industry. Legendary for their work with Titanium you still see many Dean road and mountain bikes slogging miles twenty years after they were originally built (unlike the issues Lynskey seems to be having with so many cracking frames/tubes/stays recently). I've never owned a Moots but a friend shared a horror stories of people that ordered a custom Moots only to receive a bike that wasn't what was ordered custom. I've never once heard of such a such an issue with Dean. Plus DEAN is LOCAL (unlike Steamboat/Moots). I think we are very spoiled to have such amazing local frame builders in the area with Dean, Paketa, Nobillette, Zinn etc. Anyone interested in a custom touring, randonneur, 29er, 650b, or road bike should consider a Dean at the top of their "grail" bike list. They also make gorgeous custom Ti stems and seat posts, though I don't have either of those on my bikes. I'd strongly encourage local cyclists to ride a local craftsman fabricated Dean before considering a Taiwanese made "Italian" bike.

I made an appointment so they would have the time to get it in from their warehouse and give it a little spin around the parking lot and alley, and less than 10 minutes later, I had her loaded up and ready to go home to take on more adventures. Staff was friendly, helped me with sending in my invoice info to Aventon to get some bonus free perks, had me download the app so I could unlock new max speeds, and recommended taking a picture by the balloon mural. Love the bike, love the town of Erie, and my husband was so impressed by their service that he just purchased and picked up his eBike from CyclErie so we can enjoy our adventures together!

Yelp guided me to several options to consider for service, and upon reading many reviews, I decided to contact Safe Dryers. I contacted them rather late on a Friday afternoon, but they promptly texted me back, and got me on their calendar. Saul and his colleague arrived at the scheduled time, and got to work. They vacuumed out a pile of lint, and exclaimed at the amount in such a short dryer vent :). They measured the airflow, and explained to me what the ideal airflow is, what mine was at the start, and what it is now. They answered every question that I had about the state of the system and how I should maintain it going forward. They were efficient and cordial. What else can I expect? I'd like to point out that Safe Dryers wasn't the first company I called. The company, which was referred by my appliance repair folks, wanted to come to "inspect" my system for a low fee, and then "assess" what needed to be done and provide an estimate on site. When I asked how much it would cost to clean the vent, which I knew needed to be done, this other company would not answer that question. They insisted on a $69 visit to provide that assessment and cost. Safe Dryers had a simple answer--$169 for a ground level vent, $259 for something 10' off the ground or more. I'm sure if Saul and his team found something amiss while they were here, they would have told me about it, but all I needed was that vent cleaning, and that is what I got. A bargain at $169. Bada-Bing, Bada-Boom. Thank you, Safe Dryers!

Nick came today to work on my home spinner bike. He very thoroughly adjusted and cleaned every working part and it's as good as new! I really count on this bike in the winter and when it's too hot to ride outdoors, so I was relieved that he could fix it. Nick has also worked on my "real" :-) bike and that has always gone well. Nick has fixed my road bike and my spinner bike and both repairs/maintenance were superb. In both cases, the bikes perform as if they were new. Built to my specifications--rims, spokes, and pattern on my vintage hubs. Vecchio's custom wheels have lasted me many tens of thousands of miles, and always stay tensioned, true, and round.
