Just did our 4th lease with this dealership (also purchased one car for our daughter). Dealership has always been knowledgeable and helpful. This time my wife was REAL SPECIFIC on what she wanted in the car and as a result we had to special order the vehicle. Heads up, if you want to special order a vehicle PLAN AHEAD!!! We reached out to Mini end of November, hoping to get the vehicle ASAP. Turns out dealership only gets a limited quantity of special order vehicles (their allotment) each month. Even though it was still November, their allotment for DECEMBER was ALREAY SPOKEN FOR!!! We had to wait for January for the order to be placed and it took until the end of February for the vehicle to arrive. We love the vehicle and the service the dealer provides but will order months ahead next time!

They have standard salad and sandwich there for lunches, with daily specials like a tenderloin with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I have only had the breakfast, and it was okay--bacon and eggs. A good price, though I was disappointed that they only have cheap (sub-Heinz) ketchup which kind of kills the meal. OK, you're probably not going to go here to eat in the canteen (which is kind of cool if you are waiting), so let's talk about the cars. Their sales department was helpful, as I test drove MINIs here. MINIs are pretty much at retail unless you get something off the lot that no one else wants. At the time I was purchasing, I lived in New Orleans and checked out the options in Houston but went with my home state for convenience. Now that I'm here, I use the service department. Overall they are very good, friendly, and on top of things. MINI/BMW service is generally a bit pricey and slow compared to other cars but it's the nature of the machine. They have a shuttle which will take you nearby, and loaners (in theory) for major repairs. As I've not had a major repair I haven't partaken of one. Free (slow) WiFi in the waiting area is a plus. I plan to buy my next MINI here. Motor on!

Cars they could have sold if they weren't sexists, snobs, or racists. Who knows...

We bought a 2004 Mini from them brand new. Outstanding purchase and sales group. If we were to buy another one we'd consider it. Thank you.

I clearly specified the year, make, model AND trim. The person I spoke with on the phone confirmed that it was indeed still available for inspection, and could be looked at during any of their open office hour times. With that confirmation in mind, I then placed a $200+ order with a PPI inspection company to schedule an appointment. Hours later I heard back from the PPI inspector who had arrived at the dealership; but with bad news --- apparently, the vehicle had already been sold, potentially days before I had even called the dealership that morning. This was despite the PPI inspector also having separately called up the dealership ahead of driving over and also confirming that the vehicle was available for an inspection that day. All said and done, I may ultimately have wasted a couple of hundred dollars needlessly on an inspection that wasn't even possible to take place in the first place. Motors on Wheels needs to train their staff better to confirm that their vehicles are in fact available for inspection when requested, as well as drop their listings from their website once they're sold. Having potential customers needlessly waste their money on impossible inspections is a senseless waste of money that could be easily prevented with better safeguards and training. If the dealership can't ensure against simple issues like this, I can't help but wonder what other sorts of issues exist at their dealership that aren't as readily visible. I unfortunately cannot recommend this dealership.

Second time I went to AutoZone 03/04/25 and it still stated Catalytic Converter. Which finally they ended up fixing. Engine light comes on again and another diagnostic 03/16/25 states oil pump is needed. Showed salesman and he crumbled up my document stating AutoZone doesn't know what they are talking about, and threw it in the trash, which I requested him to retrieve for my documentation purposes. During this time, it was mentioned that my oil was leaking tremendously. (Which now I'm fined by HOA because my driveway looks horrible). Just received my car back last week on April 7 and now engine light is back on again, along with leaking oil. Also told them upon getting the car that I was hearing clunking noises on the passenger side in the back, when I turn or go over humps. They never looked into issue and now my mechanic is stating it may be suspension or structs. My 30 warranty is expired now, so now I'm stuck with major car repairs that I have to come out of pocket on. These past few weeks when I have been struggling to use my car with two broken external handles, I…read moreWISHED I had the mechanical skills to fix my car. Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!
