Consistently good food here. I've been at least twice that I can recall. Their specialty are the dumplings which can be prepared in various ways. There are about 10 per order for $10-13 or so. They also serve very good Indian food. Lots of good sauces. Seems to all be homemade. Food: Honestly this place is really good. My husband and I go here fairly regularly and our favorite dish is the chicken biryani. My husband also loves the chicken chow mein. We've had the lamb biryani too, but felt like the chicken had more flavor. We've had their garlic naan and I know a lot of people love it but it wasn't my favorite. Their butter chicken curry was also just very sweet to me, as I prefer spicier foods. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because so far I've only found one item I've really fully loved, but I'm sure they'll be more as I keep trying new things. Service: The people who work here are so sweet and kind and always happy to answer any questions or make whatever adjustments they can. We really enjoyed our delivery meal from Momo Factory! I ordered the veggie jhol momo and pumpkin curry; my husband ordered the dojar chili momo and peppery chicken chili. Let me first say that we had LOTS of leftovers (always a treat) that were excellent the next day as well. -Veggie jhol momo and pumpkin curry: I will probably try the veggie bowl in the future but I enjoyed both of these dishes. The veggie momo wasn't SUPER flavorful on its own, but the jhol sauce really helped. I LOVED the pumpkin curry, but didn't realize it didn't have any veggies in it, so just be aware. Regardless, I drank it like soup and thoroughly enjoyed it. -ojar chili momo and peppery chicken chili: husband really liked both of these! Ordered the chicken momo, steamed and fried, as well as the pork momo plus the factory rice. Honestly, I'm not sure that the food I received was even from Momo Factory (I'm taking GrubHub on faith here). The food as delivered doesn't look anything like the dumplings shown on the pictures on their Facebook page, this page, and the Grubhub menu page. The Factory rice appeared to be a a lightly fried vegetable rice on the menu but what I received is steamed basmati rice with peas (no other veggies). The dumplings themselves taste fine but they look like wontons and not the circular dumplings on the photos (notable given the name Momo). I've included a photo of what I actually received so others can compare it to the photos they advertise...there's a huge difference. I've been wanting to try this place for months and it did not disappoint! We started with the vegetable samosa which was really good and not too heavy. It came with a green sauce on the side that was so good with it. We also tried a few different momos. My favorite was the sadheko chatpate momo which was fried and crunchy on the outside with soft pork inside. It was delicious both plain and with sauces. We also tried the chilly chicken momo which was really good and unique as well- spicy but a bit sweet. The paneer momo was also really good and was a mix of cheese and spinach and very flavorful. Lastly, we tried the dojar pork bowl with chow mein which was very good but not as unique in my opinion- still delicious though. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations and was so tasty! If you are looking for a restaurant that sells something different then you should go here in Momo. I recently went in here and it is just small but the place has a nice interior and was overall clean. The staff inside was nice and friendly. They have a lot of options on their menu and it is mostly Nepalese or Indian cuisine. I got their chicken choila for takeout and it was served fresh and hot so I immediately went home to try it. It was surprisingly good and it was actually my first time eating it. For a less expensive chicken bbq it was full of flavor and just so delicious. I will surely be back soon. Loved it. Some friends recommended their momo and per their advice, we ordered butter chicken momo and the masala momo and garlic naan. All were amazing. Said friends and I agree, why did we wait so long to try? We love Indian food and the butter chicken and masala sauces were excellent. And the dumplings were delicious. We tried chicken and look fwd to trying other fillings, but the chicken filling in dumplings was really tasty on its own. They only offered two different naans, but the garlic naan was wonderful and a great accompaniment to sop up the extra sauce. Looking fwd to our leftovers! We were looking for a Nepalese and East Indian street food experience and this place hit the mark. We tried the steamed momo's (veggie, chicken and Jhol, essentially momo's with gravy) and the preparation and sauces were perfect. While slightly pricey, it makes up for it in quantity. We have been here twice and the quality is consistent. Their menu is huge and given the rush of orders, I bet their meat selections are awesome. If you are looking for an authentic street style Nepalese food experience and a different take on the more popular noodle soups (Ramen, Pho etc.), and dumplings then try this place out. The only drawback is that service can be slow. It takes ages for the order to arrive and one needs to give a bit of nudge. Very excited to see a restaurant like this in Lakeview. Nepalese food doesn't have a very large presence in Chicago like other cuisines, but this place nails it. The veg momos were great, as was the spicy dipping sauce. Their meals are affordable, too - around $8 for 4 dumplings, a big helping of noodles, mixed veggies, and a fried lentil cake.
