It was my 1st time in the Clarksville area and i was told that there's really great Korean food in the area as there are many South Koreans living in this area and it's very authentic. I love Korean food and so decided to checkout my options. The 1st suggestion i received was under revamp/closed and so I headed straight to Yelp my No 1 Go-To for the best suggestions and that's how i found Momo Korean Bbq. I was a little worried when I drove up as there was only 1 car in the parking lot at 6:45pm and it seemed closed but my hunger got the better of me and i prayed they were still open. It is a really decent spot so i don't understand why it was so empty. I ordered my usual Yukgaejang which is a clear noodle with broth and brisket. And the Banchan was served along with a bowl of rice. Every respectable Korean restaurant provides Banchan which is aseries of accompaniments/sides that are served to everyone. I was told some of the dishes change on a rotation or seasonal reasons. This meal had 6 sides including their staple Kimchi, pickled cucumbers, chunky soy sauce potatoes etc Refills are $2 each if you want more. My Yukgaejang was absolutely perfect! It took a while but I was in no rush. The service was great and i had the whole restaurant to myself. I just wish i had easy access to such good AUTHENTIC Korean food at really good prices. There are plenty of tables and i can see so much potential for groups to gather in here. I plan on returning if I'm ever in the area to try their BBQ the next time. read more

There was a hair in my soup. But every thing was going well up until I found a hair. My soup was good but VERY spicy, and I can usually handle spicy (I didn't know it was spicy). The noodle dish we got was good as well as the side dishes. Service was good, and the worker took the soup off my tab. read more

We dined at Momo for early lunch on a Saturday. By the outside appearance, the building looks like it used to be a Mexican restaurant. Ample parking available. Promptly greeted and seated by a very pleasant young lady. The menu, while not extensive, offered some of our favorite Korean dishes. We opted for Kimchee pancake, spicy pork, and dolsat Bimimbap. Our dishes arrived hot and fresh from the kitchen. Our lunch was enjoyable, of note, the Kimchee pancake was crispy on the outside, and soft in the center. Perfectly prepared. Our only ( minor) drawbacks were 1. The windows in the dining room were noticeably dirty. 2. The banchan included steamed American broccoli. Otherwise, a solid 4 meal. read more

You can find Momo Korean BBQ at 1913 Fort Campbell Blvd, Clarksville, TN 37042 in what was a Mexican restaurant back when I lived locally back in the late 70's. There's plenty of parking along the side and rear of the building. Had a hankering for Korean so decided to visit Momo (which my mother called MooMoo - not sure if that's more accurate or if it was an inside joke) - three of us enjoyed the Galbi and a couple of Kimche Jigae (soup). The flavors brought back some memories - nothing was outrageous and was probably toned down a bit, but this style is very similar to my own mothers. The portions aren't as large as I remembered but it seems the pandemic has impacted everyone. The menu is fairly extensive - while we were seated two tables of Koreans came in and ordered - I think there are other options available nearby (I remember when you could get fed Korean at most of the nearby nightclubs on 41A) but you'll be hardpressed to be served homecooked Korean for Omas like you do here. Prices were very reasonable, especially compared to Atlanta - of course the outrageous sales tax jacks everything up. I was in Hopkinsville, Ky for work and this place was advertised in YELP. I thought I'd give it a shot and drive a half hour south for takeout Korean. I'm glad I did. I arrived around 330 pm so there were no other customers. The wait staff was very friendly though I was just getting take out to drive home for dinner. Beef bulgogi had a sweet flavor and perfect texture. The spicy pork bulgogi wasn't overwhelmingly hot but pretty perfect on spice level. The sticky white rice was perfect. No complaints at all and I'd probably be a regular at this restaurant if I lived closer. read more

Hadn't been here awhile. My friend and I,came here about 3?weeks ago. I was a little apprehensive about going here. The past few times we had poor service and portions were quite small for the price. So,we were seated. The waitress took our drink order,she was very polite,beautiful smile on her face. She gave us a moment to decide our orders. I already knew what I wanted. We both chose bbq beef short ribs. We had appetizers,pot stickers and gimp Bob (seaweed roll). The severing was much larger than before. We seen right off the bat that the waitress wasn't the usual one there in the past. Who had no customer service. My friend and I found out that there was new owners but the same cook. Which made all the difference in the world. My friend and I we'll definitely be back. Our usual place has seemingly closed. But I know monos will be our go to from now on. Yelp's posted hours are wrong. They are closed Wednesday & Thursday. This is good Korean food. I have been eating here for years, and the tastes are always right. Crisp vegetables, pickled and sweet. Kimchi hot and good. I always order the beef - YUM! read more

This has always been my go to place for the last 2 decades! I love the flavors and its pretty spot on compared to traditional Korean food. The best thing about lunch are the specials which combine two different meats together for $12 such as teriyaki chicken and spicy pork or bulgogi and chicken. Great food and great environment! We came here because the original Korean restaurant we go to was closed. It was nice when we walked in! The food was okay. Portions were a little smaller than we were used to compared to our original place. I did like the kimbap! It was good! When someone came to refill our drinks, the soda was VERY watered down. Today I went with my boyfriend to this restaurant and I gotta say, it was the best experience ever !! The food was so tasty, I got a traditional Korean BQQ with beef and dumpling soup along with Kimbop. The vegetables was crisp and fresh. Dumpling soup was great. The service was very great and not over the top. The atmosphere felt very homey and comfortable; beautiful seats and decorations. It was a little on the pricey side but the lady took great care of us as she brought more lettuce and kimchi while we ate. Went here for the first and last time. I got beef bulgogi and I vomited in the bowl after trying it. It was disgusting!!!!! The service was amazing as they tried to offer me other items on the menu but nothing I tried was good. I ended up sitting with my uncle as he finished his meal and spoke about how good it was. PLUS, they seem to be the only korean joint open on sunday. i called in and ordered the bulgogi to-go. it normally comes with regular kimchee, but i asked for all cucumber kimchee, cuz that's how i roll. the portion of bulgogi was HUGE! i ate half (and i know the hubby will eat the leftovers tomorrow! bulgogi is one of those foods that heats up REALLY well). the meat was flavorful, but i think they went a little heavy on the soy sauce. but that doesn't say much, as i am not a huge fan of soy sauce. i've had better bulgogi, but that is cuz i'm lucky and wicked spoiled to have (a) had access to omah, my best girlfriends mother, who makes WICKED AWESOME korean grub and (b) to have actually been to korea. for bulgogi in the state of tennessee, it was about what i expected. the sides were good (pics on on here). broccoli, potato, radish kimchee and cucumber kimchee, all tasty. the broccoli was the least flavorful, but mostly cuz it just tasted like broccoli. the potato was good, cooked in what was likely soy, but not too much of it. i LOVE radish and cucumber kimchee, so those were both tasty. add a side of rice and dinner was done. i suggest finding a korean store and picking up some spicy red bean paste (for ALL korean food adventures...it is awesome mixed with rice) and some aloe water. the new koa store down the street has different flavors, like kiwi and pomegranate. it totally rounds out the meal. *disclaimer* i'm putting this place on here as 'cheap' because even tho i spent 12 bucks on this meal, it was MORE than enuf for two ppl. read more

The food is surprisingly, pretty good. The service is typically, just 'eh.' The menu items they have are actually pretty authentic and served in an interesting array. My buddy has never tried Korean food and since he helped me move in I couldn't let him go empty handed. My gf and I picked this place mostly because of the name; as an aside how cute is a name like Momo? There's a special dinner for two where you get to pick some dishes-grilled meat, a choice between seafood or a pajeon, as well as fried dumplings. All pretty standard so we went with that. However, since there were 3 of us I asked if we could expand the dinner for two to 3 people-our waitress was a little thrown off by this so the owner/manager came and after speaking with her about it she said it wouldn't be a problem and we could get an extra order of meat. Everything was great, seriously the meat was cooked in the back but it was seasoned right, a little too sweet in my opinion but still not bad. The problem was that when the check came she charged us for two dinners for two. I figured maybe charging was 1.5 was the price, but she charged us 2X and we didn't even get a double portion of meat! For my first experience with Korean food I was pretty pleased and enjoyed my meal very much...i ordered dumplin soup which we all agreed was awesome...i would come back just for that... then kobe ribs which were tasty but not what was hyped up to be....My husband ordered some sort of korean bacon to be cooked on the table...he lived in Korea a few years and says the quality of the meat overall should have been better for what they charged and were missing some side dishes he expected...It was pretty pricey...so thats why i wouldnt give them five stars. Man, I love the food here! I duck in here from time to time when I'm in the area if I need to take a break or make some calls. It is always quiet and has fantastic food! The last time I was up there, I asked the lady to make the kimchi stew so hot I would cry, and dear god, they complied. It was like spicy red hatred and I loved every bite. Oh the kimchi was fantastic and the pork belly slices were just fantastic. Absolutely lit me up. If nobody had been looking, I would have absolutely drank from the bowl. The sides were also fantastic, but I have never seen broccoli served as banchan - didn't really touch it. They also have some really good bulgogi - not too greasy and a great level of seasoning. The portion sizes are also great, too, even on the lunch menu. Service has been okay, they are friendly, but seem to disappear for periods of time, which can be a problem when you've splashed molten red death soup on your yellow shirt and need some napkins. A friend told me of this place- and then I decided to look up the reviews before going to try it! I ordered beef bulgogi and it looks just like the picture shows- the portion is large for one person not to mention all of the sides that were included! I was prepared to arrive and ignore the "service" aspect of the experience b/c of the previous reviews- but to my surprise we had excellent service ! All of our needs were met in addition to our drinks filled and refilled as we needed. The experience was enjoyable and the atmosphere was inviting. As far as the food is concerned- it was my first Korean experience so I had nothing to compare it to - but I will say that I enjoyed the spicy zuchini and the rice- along with the bean sprouts the best- for my sides- the beef had great flavor and my husband stole it to eat with his meal too! I think we will return to this restaurant and possibly explore more menu items ! !!! read more

The fish soup was good and flavorable. A huge disappoinment on bulgogi though. It tasted like regular beef stir fried. I was really surprised how good the teriyaki was (would never have thought to order that at Korean restaurant myself). First time having Korean food and it was amazing. The second time it wasn't as good (the cut of meat) but the taste was great. It is a little in the pricy side but you get what you pay for.
