So disappointing. I've ordered from this restaurant twice because I wanted to give them another chance. I understand everyone has off days, but both experiences were really disappointing. The first time, I ordered 2 Pad Thai dishes and 1 Pad See Ew for pickup after work on a week day. The Pad Thai I asked for level 1 spice. and the Pad See Ew a 2. All three dishes were unbelievably spicy, as if a huge amount of chili or ghost pepper had been added to every order. They were completely inedible and I enjoy spicy food. A few weeks later I decided to give them another try and ordered the exact same meals a second time. This time, both Pad Thai dishes had no sauce. They were just oily noodles with veggies and chicken. It honestly seemed like the sauce had been forgotten. It's not cheap or worth it at this point. read more

A lovely, family-owned Thai spot we always find ourselves coming back to--whether it's takeout or dining in. They greeted us with genuine kindness and even welcomed us to dine in just 30 minutes before closing. We ordered two panang curries and a fried rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. We came shortly after they opened. Only one person was handling the register and taking orders at the table. It took about 5 minutes to be told we could sit anywhere. We ordered and it took about 50 minutes to get our food when we were the 3rd people to order. Our appetizer came about 1 minute before our meal. I was also disappointed to find out that the $2.50 soda I ordered was a can (wasn't posted that way on the menu). While the food was fresh and the staff apologetic it just wasn't worth it. read more

The service and food were both great. The waitress asked what spice level I wanted. I told her medium. She warned me that I may want to start mild and she would put more spice on the side. I said that I could handle it. I could because I love spicy food but it was "spicy". If that was medium I would hate to see hot. However the taste was great and it was quick. I love this little gem of a Thai restaurant. The food is excellent and I am a snob when it comes to good Pad Thai. The service is great. As busy as they are sometimes (especially around opening) service is still good. All of the food on the menu is made fresh to order. I highly recommend any of the noodles. The curry is excellent too. This place was mediocre AT BEST. I usually judge Thai places on their Pad Thai as it's the dish all Thai places have. The flavor was very much lacking and it was very disappointing. There was no egg visible in the dish and although there were peanuts there was no peanut flavor. We also ordered the Spicy Tom Yum Goon which was spicy....the 2 star review is for the service. This was my first visit to Thai Paradise. Ordered larb, and mango curry with shrimp. I think I might have been expecting a bit more upscale decor, but being in a strip mall should have clued me in. It's just a few tables (ours wobbled) and those industrial kitchen chairs from the 80's, but hey, this visit was about the food, not the furnishings. I'd never had larb before and wanted to give it a go. Minced chicken and beef, some spices, served with lettuce leave so you can make a lettuce wrap. I preferred eating it with rice instead of the lettuce. (I deducted a star due to some of the lettuce leaves being wilted and brown on the edges.) It was supposed to be hot, but I didn't think it was. It could have used a sauce or something because it was rather dry. I guess that's part of the authenticity, having it the way the regular Thai folks do. The mango curry was excellent! It had a bit more kick than the larb, and I thought it could have used a little more heat, but the flavor profile was spot on. The shrimp were very large and cooked perfectly. The two ladies working up front were wonderful, very personable and professional. They answered questions and made a bit of small talk. All in all, I enjoyed meeting them, and I'm planning to head back soon. There is a lot more on the menu I'm ready to try. read more

It was a good day, but this just made all the goodness run over The hibiscus refresher is yummy and I do suggest the level 2 hotness for flavor and spice. We've been looking for someplace that serves up Thai food as good as our favorite restaurant back where we used to live. Holy smokes! Hands down the best Thai food in town. Having lived in Seattle for 7 years, I have SOOO missed good Thai food, and I'm thrilled to have finally found it. The spring rolls were delicious, like didn't need the dipping sauce delicious. I mean the sauce was delicious and added a zing, but the flavor without it was amazing. I've never had spring rolls before that were that flavorful. I also had the red curry. It was packed with flavor, and perfectly spicy. Just enough to make my hairline sweat! I also got the samba stirfry to go, and it was delicious. I love samba sauce, so to have a whole stirfry with it full of ginger and delicious veggies was such a treat. I can hardly wait to go back and try more! Update! I've been back several times, and the quality and flavors continue to amaze me. The pad ped was decent tasting, but the Tom yum soup was lackluster, and despite being the only customers in the dining room, we did not get good service, couldn't get our drinks filled quickly, and when we did, my daughter didn't get the right drink.
