Realize you get what you pay for. The food was top quality. The quality of meat was amazing. The service was amazing. We give this restaurant an A+. Great for birthdays and anniversaries.

Tonight was my first time trying Naru since moving to Clarksville. Wait time was 40 minutes which is to be expected for AYCE on a Friday night. The restaurant was clean and inviting and the food was delicious. I recommend the beef bulgogi and top blade. Ari was our waitress and she was so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Party of 9 and called ahead. Our table was waiting for us and they were not very busy since we got there at 5:30. Our neighbors have 5 children and their only exposure to Korean food was through me. I've eaten here before and it was good. And since they had no clue about the menu or what to order, I ordered for the table and requested everything be served "family style". I also requested tasting spoons for all and forks for most. I ordered 2 bulgogi, 2 spicy pork bulgogi, 2 Kalbi short ribs, seafood pancake, and kimchi jigae. While the food was fine, I hate soggy rice. I don't like the way they serve the bulgogi over the rice with so much juice! You know those small metal cups(water cups) that are sitting on a small saucer? When we asked for extra plates so we could all share and taste. Our server told us to use the little saucer that was under the little cup. Ugh. I wanted to really give my neighbors a good first impression but clearly our server had too much going on for him to handle. Also, for some reason the food and menu wasn't the same as it was 6months earlier. I do like that they keep the TVs on a Korean Pop/Rap video channel.

Asian food (outside of the Indian subcontinent) has never been my thing. I've had some decent ramen, but overall, the flavors and textures just aren't my preference. But I wanted to try something new, so I tried Naru. Naru is Korean. They have a regular menu and a BBQ menu. We tried a regular menu to start. I am not 100 percent clear on the BBQ part, as to whether they cook it or you cook it, but you usually get a private room, and pretty much all you can eat (but don't order more than you can eat, because there is an additional charge for leftovers). Anyway, the menu is a little confusing to those new to the system, but the staff is happy to answer questions. I ordered the ramen. I've had better in NYC, but it was still warm and pleasant and salty. I also accidentally ordered the cold spicy noodles (like I said, we didn't quite understand the menu, that's on us). I wasn't a huge fan, but the experience of the food was better than the flavors for me. I had no idea how to assemble or eat the dish. A man I assumed to be the owner, noticed my confusion and came over to our table. He showed me how to assemble the dish, which sauces to use, and how to eat it. I really appreciated that, and it was a lot of fun! He was so friendly and helpful! My husband had a teriyaki lunch box, and it was pretty tasty. I have friends who eat here, who really enjoy it, and I'm told local Koreans also give kudos to this food. So even though I'm not a big fan of this type of food in general, I would try it again, just to try more new things and to learn more about the culture.

Stumbled on this place while road tripping through the Carolinas/Tennessee. We elected to order from the menu instead of doing the all-you-can eat BBQ. My brother had the Bulgogi with rice and I have Bibimbap. Both were delicious. We also both had plum teas which was delicious as usual. Korean BBQ is a usually a reliable choice and Naru didn't disappoint. Fresh, delicious food that is healthy and leaves you feeling satisfied.

Top notch service and the food was great! The best part it's reasonably priced for well portioned authentic dishes! Love the ambience and I can see why it's a local hit.

    All I could eat ?!

Stopped by here during the week after grabbing some groceries. The atmosphere is quiet refreshing. It's quiet and a bit more private if you get the BBQ tables. HIGHLY RECOMMEND shelling out the cash for the "all you could eat" option. It's about $30 per person, but provides you endless servings of about 6-7 types of meat. The waiting staff is amazing. They're extremely attentive to you're every need and continually check to make sure you have the gradual flow of continuous food that you want. This place taste great and that's coming from me, a kid from California, who grew up enjoying Korean style restaurants and barbecues.

They have the best bulgogi and kimchi I have had in Clarksville. This place is in my regular rotation.

Summary: Fast food variations on chicken with sides of Southern comfort foods…read more An off night. That's what I think we had after reading the other reviews. Stopping here for supper, first there were the dark bathrooms that wouldn't light. Along with that electrical issue, an ear-splitting and head jarring smoke or other alarm went off every few minutes for about 15 minutes. Order taking was interrupted often when the counter employee shifted to incoming phone calls. That employee didn't know pulled chicken portion sizes in ounces and approximated with his hands. All of this created a dubious dining experience before we even finished ordering! This spot offers a variety of chicken recipes: roasted, BBQ, Caribbean, pulled, fried, and more. Sides includes Southern standards like mac and cheese, yellow rice, greens, coleslaw, and others. The pulled (shredded) chicken was overly seasoned with black pepper. Roasted chicken was a bit dry. The BBQ chicken laden with sweet sauce was the best of the chicken choices. Creamy coleslaw was 'meh' and lacked flavor. Rice, too, was just okay. Northern beans were nicely seasoned and well cooked. Pita triangles seemed an odd accompaniment since no sauce or dip was provided and they were too small to make sandwiches. Overall, the restaurant seemed understaffed, which could account for the messy tables and dirty floor.

Walked in early on a Sunday afternoon and we quickly greeted at the counter to place our order…read more Ease of order was super, the individual taking our order was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. My gripe about the entry is that we weren't hit with the immediate aroma of a BBQ place...that's one of the best things about going out for BBQ, but oh well. We placed our order for one large Onion Ring starter, two brisket plate meals, a Not So Naked Tater, two fountain drinks, and a water...it came to about $75.00 so I was really looking forwrd to some good portions and tasty food. Those little cheesy cornbead appetizers came to the table first. I didn't eat any of them so I won't comment on them. They were quicly followed by the LARGE Onion Ring starter with 10 rings. That's not even a whole onion...they're making a killing on onion rings if they're back there slicing onions, battering them up and frying them in house. They tasted good, but the portion size was awful. Our food was not far behind...it arrived hot and looked delicious (which is a good thing, because it's the eyes that eat first). The Not So Naked Tater was jampacked with goodness and the person who ordered it said that it was very tasty and a nice sized tater. My brisket tasted really good. It was seasoned just right, but it had a hint of smoke flavor...not exactly what I was hoping it would be. It was clearly smoked, no doubt about that...but it didn't have as much smoke flavor as I was expecting. I was also a bit disappointed by the portion size. If my meal were a combo two-meat meal where brisket were one meat and maybe smoked sausage (which I found odd that they don't have on the menu), then the portion of brisket would have been suitable...but it was a single-meat meal with two sides. My sides of mac-n-cheese and corn on the cob were good...with the corn being the better of the two. Was also a bit disappointed that there was only ONE BBQ sauce offered at the table. I thought they offered a variety of sauces for sale at the counter, so why not showcase those same sauces at the table? I don't know...but it doesn't seem like good business to me. Overall, the service was fantastic, but frankly, I was disappointed considering the hype that surrounded this place when it came to Clarksville. Food was overpriced for the portions, likely won't go back.
