Solo Saturday! Stopped in while dilly dallying to take advantage of the 1/2 price sushi. Had been craving some good sushi. There are a good selection of 1/2 price options and lots of choices on the menu. It was kind of early, about an hour after opening. Thought it was weird that there was still sweeping and cleaning being done around the bar area. Which led me to think maybe they didn't clean up after closing last night. Also I got hot tea and had to ask for sugar which appeared to be only one available in the whole seating area in that part of the restaurant instead of each table. The whole experience is really nice. I seen an add on Facebook and decided to come here. We had the chicken, steak and shrimp and it was soooo delicious. This particular location simply leaves something to be desired. The food was ok but flavor could have been better. We were a party of 9 and I chose not to have hibachi this visit; it was immediately as if my order was disregarded because of my choice. My very 1st time at this location we had the same server and something about his demeanor refreshed that memory. The restaurant has a full bar, but is family friendly of course and fun for all while you enjoy good food. A few items were a little slow from the kitchen, and I noticed a few things a bit overcooked on the hibachi grill. Dope spot! Came for a Galentine's dinner on the 13th. Sat in front of the grill and got a full experience so that was really nice. Our chef was fun and since this was my first time at a Japanese steakhouse I didn't know what to expect. But I wasn't disappointed! I got the Baltimore roll and the hibachi combo with a soda; with chicken and shrimp. This includes the miso soup, fried rice, vegetable mix and salad. The Baltimore roll was absolutely delicious but I wanted the meat to be a bit more seasoned. There was plenty of leftovers which was great. Since our party was over 4 we had 18% automatic gratuity so the total came to $45. I thought that was reasonable. Overall I would recommend but I would like to try other chains that do this kind of thing. read more

Obviously, this isn't anything near omakase quality, but I was startled at how fast they were bringing our rolls out! LOL. I'm pretty sure it's batch prepared sushi sitting in a back fridge since noon. You cannot convince me otherwise. I also didn't like that they don't notate cooked rolls that are covered in cold toppings (Eeeyuck). Since I was starving, we stayed and ordered wings once we caught onto the sushi gimmick. I came to Sake to enjoy some half priced sushi. I sat at the bar and the bartender was kind enough to change the channel to the NBA finals. I got sushi, fries, and a lychee martini--I'm just a girl. My food was good as always and great prices. The bathroom floors were sticky probably due to whatever they mop with--hated that. But it wasn't the biggest deal. We sat at a regular table and had some of the half price sushi, pineapple fried rice, and a teriyaki bento box. Overall the food was good, nothing special but hit the spot! The food was horrible. The waiter was rude and took forever. I was asking for a sauce I like that most Japanese places have and she said she would ask. And when she came back she lied and said she asked the chef and she would get it. I know she lied because she wouldn't say if the chef said yes. The place was empty as well and it took so long to get the food. The hibachi was undercooked and tasted like it went bad. After we told the waiter that she started to complain about us to another waiter in Chinese but I know Chinese and pointed her out about it and then she denied that as well. I would never go there again and it will probably give me stomach problems. I would give no stars if I could. read more

We came in around 1230 and there was not much of a wait. The receptionist was very friendly, as was the waitress who served our table. We got sprite and pink lemonade for our beverages. We started off with a order of California roll. I chose to get the lobster hibachi for my main meal. It was on the lunch, so it also came with soup and a salad. The fried rice was a little on the salty side so that was somewhat offputting. and the chicken was dry (which is a first in my experience at these types of restaurants.) There were seven people at the table, and even though we had never met the other people before.... we had a very pleasant interaction with them. I had read a review complaining about there being no flavor to the food but I totally disagree. Everything was seasoned with just the right amount of balanced flavor. Today was my second time in this restaurant, but it sure will be the last. First time a year ago I had a hibachi dinner, and if it wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst. Today I got pineapple fried chicken rice, and I had never had anything worse or more tasteless in my life in the Asian restaurant or any restaurant for that matter. it was a total mess served in tje shell of pineapple, chicken was like warm and had weird texture, almost like it was raw, even though it wasn't. Rice wasn't even close to be fried. It was so bad- I ate few forks and pineapple out of it, and sent the rest back. The worst part - I brought a friend over, and was treating her to dinner - she ordered same thing but also said it was tasteless and very weird dish. Such a disappointment! read more
