I finally bought something here after driving by for years! I didn't take pics of the food because I ate it so fast. Food (5/5): We got an entire chocolate peanut butter pie and it was just amazing. It was so rich though, I could only eat a small slice in one sitting. It was a rich peanut butter filling inside and a luscious chocolate top. If you like peanut butter pie, you have to try this! I also got slices ($6 each) of their Quiche Lorraine, since I am a huge fan of quiche. Heated it up in the oven and it was just magical. Fluffy and creamy on the inside and had a perfectly made crust. Service (4/5): There aren't any prices on anything which is super annoying. However, the nice people in there said all the whole pies, including the cream pies and quiches, were only $30, which is a steal considering that pies at Wegmans or Whole Foods are that much, or more. The banana cream pie was nice too and was slightly less sweet than the coconut cream pie. The pie crust was flaky and perfectly cooked. The taste was pretty classic. Bought a few pies here. The pies went bad. I went to return the unopened and uneaten pie. Lady refused to provide refund after promising to do so. She sent a gift certificate for $15 instead. Each pie cost $30 before taxes. Not sure what a 50% discount does for me when I had returned the pies. It would seem the lady's position is that it is the customer's fault, but she's more than happy to provide a discount to come pay more money at her store. Pies are left out to cool in a small enclosed area. No wonder why they went bad. These pies are nothing special and after years of going here, she's lost a customer. read more

What an amazing little pie shop! I saw the name on my car's GPS screen and decided to stop in after having lunch nearby. The extremely friendly woman that assisted me walked me through the HUGE variety and selection of pie flavors and I decided on a slice of Banana Cream Pie and my personal favorite, Apple Crumb but this one was extra special with the addition of Butter Pecan. As I was checking out, I spotted a slice of Pecan Pie and she suggested that I try the Mom's Bourbon Walnut Pie instead. The Banana Cream Pie was good, as was the Butter Pecan Apple Crumb but that Mom's Bourbon Walnut Pie was AMAZING! I now have a new favorite pie thanks to Mom's Apple Pie Bakery. I recently went there with my friend because she had recommended that I get a slice of pie from there and I definitely got more than a slice of pie. The coconut cream pie was not too sweet and had just the right amount of coconut flavor. I also got a lemon bar which was tart and citrusy and had the perfect amount of sweetness to it I also got their Christmas tree ice cookies and they were so pretty and absolutely delicious. When I lived in Virginia, I would always go here to get some pastries. The cookies were not too sweet and the perfect amount of chocolate chips. Such a cute little shop in the tip of downtown Leesburg area! Parking and traffic is little scary, but the pies are worth the danger. I have come in looking for Boston Cream (cake/pie) when I am in the area and they are open. It's first come first serve so you never know what will be left when you enter. Absolutely delicious! If you are in Leesburg, blink and you might miss it, but turn around and come back! My friend suggested we stop for pie here bc she said it was wonderful so we came before dinner nearby to get some to go to enjoy later at home. We selected standard apple pie, southern pecan pie, and an amaretto cream pie as well as a shortbread cookie. They had tons of pies, cream pies, strawberry and blueberry, etc. Staff were super friendly and our choices were made quickly and already pre-packed and ready to bagged and on your way. It's a super small building so only two groups can be inside at once, but it's adorable and the pie was SO good. What delicious and amazing pies! I couldn't be happier with a quick stop here recently. It was right before closing but we went in to get a couple slices of pie and they certainly didn't disappoint. I couldn't imagine bringing home an entire pie for myself as I think I would destroy it in a hurry. But for a family gathering bringing home a pie or two would be amazing! I ended up bringing home a slice of apple pie and also boysenberry pie. Both were delicious as expected and I will be back in the future for more. I didn't have a lot of time to walk around the store to look at other things since it was just a few minutes before closing. But I will definitely be going back and visiting the store in greater depth and having some more pie. I highly recommend visiting here. First time here and we arrived at 9:30 am thinking we can pick up some pies for the holidays. When we arrived there was at least 50 people in line and we had to wait close to an hour to pick up the pies. At this point I was expecting something really good and they did not disappoint. We picked up the coconut chocolate pie, apple pie, pecan pie and strawberry rhubarb. All the pies were worth waiting for, they had minimal Ingredients and extremely fresh tasting. The apple pie had the right amount of fresh apples and the strawberry rhubarb was very unique and delicious. Since we really like rhubarb it was a hit with our family. The coconut chocolate pie was coconutty and had a delicious chocolate flavor. The sweetness was just right and the prices were reasonable. Finding Mom's Pie has been a game changer for me. I love pie. I would rather have pie than have cake for my birthday. I also love bringing pie for dessert for big pot luck gatherings or celebration. I've been attending the Leesburg and Occoquan locations for the last two years, depending where I'm at in Virginia. I love that they have individual slices and whole pies. I also love that they offer pies with and without crumb topping. My favorite pies are: blackberry crumb, apple crumb, and chocolate pecan. I've had also had a few others -- pumpkin, regular pecan, cherry, strawberry rhubarb, etc. I always leave with either a whole pie or enough slices of different flavors to make up a pie. IT IS SO GOOD. All of Mom's staff at both locations are really friendly. I recently went to the leesburg location, and they're practicing safety measures heavily. Only two people can be inside at once since it's small, and everyone is wearing a mask. They've also implemented online ordering so we can reserve a pie and pick up! read more

I've been to the Mom's apple pie in Occoquan and was in the area of the Leesburg location so I went to check it out. This location is significantly smaller but it matches the cute and quaint atmosphere of the town. They are only allowing two people in at a time as of this post. +Southern pecan pie: it's definitely a solid pecan pie, it's filled with a lot of pecans and the top has a sweet crusty texture. The filling inside is gooey and the crust holds it together. +Blueberry crumble pie: I love their pies because generally they're not overly sweet and this one hit it on the nail as a solid blueberry crumble. The crumble does have a sugary nutty texture but the mild sweetness of the blueberry filling matches it and the bottom crust is just thin enough to hold the pie but isn't soggy. The cherry on top would have been adding a scoop of ice cream, definitely will be doing that on my next run! +Whoopie pie: I wanted to try something other than pies and the cashier mentioned whoopie pies were a favorite. Decided to try it with not much expectation but I was pleasantly surprised. The creme filling was super light and airy, not too sugary. The whoopie pies were thick enough to hold a hearty bite but light enough that it wasn't too dense. Overall I love Mom's because they serve super solid pies at a reasonable price, it tastes homemade, and it's not overly sweet like a lot of commercial pies. I stumbled on this tiny spot on a street wedge (maybe the tiny corner it's on is callled something else. IDK) on my way to a customers site today (I'm visiting from out of state) and I popped in and was glad to see exactly what I was hoping for when I stepped inside. They have walls lined with baked goods and pies, room temperature and cooled cases with various baked treats, cookies on a shelf behind the register and even a small space with little gifts. I got a couple gingerbread cookies to take home to my daughter and I enjoyed a slice of this cherry pie with a crumble crust. It was one of those southern pies that when you eat it you feel the sudden urge to give a stranger a long lost relative style hug too.
