This is our new regular dog groomer and we're always really happy bringing our pet here. It's very easy to schedule an appointment, and the prices for my small/medium size dog are fairly reasonable (about $80 for a full groom). I like that the people here are friendly and I feel like they always do a good job. I've taken our dog here multiple times and I don't feel like I have to worry about my dog getting hurt or freaking out when I leave her with the groomers. read more

OMG!!! If you're looking for a groomer look no further!! I'm a crazy dog mom and we've been to quite a few groomers in the northern Virginia area... I used to take my dog much further for a more expensive and lesser groom. I can't explain how excited I am that this is right down the street in the Twinbrook shopping center (where the old edible arrangements was). I wish I could give them more stars. I called this morning and they said to just come on by for a groom; and I dropped my dog off around s ten, filled out some paperwork, and provided my dogs vaccinations, and then she was off in great hands! This place is the cleanest groomer I've seen. I told them she was a bit anxious but they took great care of my pup and a couple of hours later she was ready to be picked up!! I even got a little Polaroid of Storm and they told me she did great during the groom. A full groom was only 72 bucks!! I was shocked... i was expecting something closer to 95 (which we normally pay). I can't say thanks enough for how great my pup is and how we're going to enjoy the rest of the summer with her new cut! We're going to be dropping off our other dog soon too! read more

Mom's pet grooming did a great job with my poodle, I loved how they shaped his body and face! Very reasonable price for the cut considering they do a haircut before and after the bath and had to keep him longer because he didn't like being slow dried. Definitely will be returning! read more

Did not get a good feeling from the beginning when the staff pulled my puppy by her collar extremely hard to get her to go into the place which I was not allowed to go into. Tried to think positive thoughts but when I picked my poor puppy up she was traumatized and crying (this is not like her personality she loves people) and seemed totally traumatized by this place! We have taken her to other groomers and she did not have this reaction so I know these people here are not treating dogs with kindness!! Do not come here!!!!! Could I give them 10 stars? We have a tiny toy poodle who is incredibly difficult to groom. He is terrified of all things grooming. We got him as a rescue at 3 and even at 12 with a very patient and dedicated groomer of 7 years, he has never lost his fear. Unfortunately that groomer had to retire and we were left with a dog no one wanted to deal with. Chris at Mom's exceeded my expectations! We asked for a simple shave down because he is that horrible to groom. They were concerned over it getting cold and him being so tiny. They were able to somehow get him brushed after the cut, amazing. He looks like a little teddy bear. THANK YOU ladies! We have found our new groomer. read more

Our two maltese-shihtzus can be a bit skittish when it comes to people trying to groom their faces and their eyes, and past groomers have not exactly delivered the quality that we had hoped for. Mom's, on the other hand, does magic. We've been to them a number of times since they opened, and couldn't be happier. Registering for an appt via their website is easy and straightforward, and the ladies there are always smiling and welcoming to our fur babies. And the results? Wonderful. Our most recent visit was this last weekend, and our guys were admittedly pretty scruffy and knotted. A few hours with Mom's, and they were sleek, smelled nice (a rarity), and happy! If I could give zero stars I would. They don't honor the prices online and will change when you pick up your dog. The old lady wearing the headphones told us to go fin another groomer. We've been a loyal customer for many years. Never again! New owners are terrible. Just honor your prices online or change them. Don't change the price at pickup. read more

We used Mom's Pet Grooming three times. The first two times were okay, except our Havanese did not want to go in the store. The third time we took him we asked for a particular young man to groom him. When we picked him up he was shaking and did not want to be held. We then realized when we got home that his belly was burned. Yes whoever groomed him burned his belly and he was miserable. We had to call the vet to find out what we could do to ease his pain. For whatever reason the young man we requested did not groom him. I took our dog back to the groomer the next day and showed them what had happened and requested a refund which they did give me. We will never use them again. read more

I've been taking my pup here since they opened but the cuts have gotten progressively worse. The latest cut is so choppy, i can even see the clipper marks all over. They cut her bottom area too short and my poor pup has been butt scooting since she came home. The people are sweet but the grooming skills leave something to be desired unfortunately. I don't think I'll be bringing my pup back, i could have given her a better haircut with a pair of clippers. Dropped off dog at noon and was told to expect pick up around 3:30 p.m. Received a phone call at 2:30 p.m. telling me ourdog was ready for pick up. I jump in the car and am informed upon arrival our dog is not anywhere near ready. They had called me about my dog, but another dog was ready. Basically they said, oops. Wait, so I spend an additional thirty minutes in the car? Honestly? I was terrified they had given my dog to another human. Dog was terrified of the people and location, and our dog is very chill. Weirdest dog haircut I have ever seen. I do not recommend nor will we return. read more

What a terrific hassle-free, friendly place - easy to make appointments and no appointment needed for a quick nail trim. I need real help in getting my dog's nails trimmed as he gets pretty vicious when I try to handle his paws-- but they handle it with such ease and my dog seems quite happy afterwards (which really says a lot). Was so hoping this business would work!!! Had a Monday 9:00AM first time appointment! We show up at 9:00 and the shop and was shocked that it was TOTALLY closed down! Locked up and lights off! Standing outside in 30 degree weather with my senior dog, I called the number on the door! I was told to wait for 30 minutes until someone could get there! Really...That is NOT how to run a business!
