This business advertised a relaxing experience/visit. That's NOT what I experienced yesterday. Tried to have a relaxing pedicure but had to ask if another employee was going to be joining me throughout my entire pedicure after she kept engaging my attendant in long drawn out personal conversations! My attendant actually stopped working on me to turn away and give her friend/coworker her full attention. I let that slide. Then the other person returned. She had the nerve to pull up a stool, took a seat, and everything! Yeah, not today... Came here on a weekday before 2 PM with my mother-in-law and husband. We got two pedicures, almost three (my husband), but he had to go back to work. They were not busy at all and were able to accommodate us. Somehow I lost a third of my big toenail, and they were able to fix it and make it look much better than it originally did. I got my nails done Saturday night. The staff working there is very nice, however the quality of the products that they use is terrible. Within two days the topcoat on my dip powder started cracking and than chipping off. I will not be going back to this place. I did feel that the lady who did my nails was rushing. The cherry on top was my cuticles. My ring finger started bleeding when when she was cutting them. Anyways check out the cuticles and the quality of my nails just TWO days after getting them done. I called the salon and let them know what happened to the nails and they offered me to come in to get them "fixed". But I didn't have time to go all the way to spring field. Long story short, they told me they cant do anything because their manager wasn't in store and they didn't have any assistant managers. Im not sure how they were open and operating. read more

The person doing my pedicure had their appointment show up late and she said she'd be right back. 30 minutes later Im still sitting there with my feet in the water and she is fulfilling the missed appointment of her "friend" after stopping my pedicure while it was underway. I live very close by. Been going here for a year a half. Super convenient for me. There have been some misses (namely when I stray away from my go-to techs because of timing) but mostly hits. Vivian is my go-to but her schedule doesn't always work with mine so I see Diane every so often. Viv is so sweet, great conversation, and always does an excellent job! It's like catching up with an old friend every few weeks (yes she gets on my case for stretching appointments lol). She gives great input when I struggle with selecting a color! Last fill she recommended a brand new gel color and I just let her go at it since I was indecisive. I got SO many compliments by men and women! I almost got the color again. Long story short: Listen to your tech lol. Diane has great technical skill. I showed her a dress that I was wearing in a few days for a wedding and she said she could do a design to replicate it. I trusted her and got a great result. (See attached) The place is clean. Receptionist is nice. I always make an appointment because I don't like to wait and for the most part they are sensitive to those with appointments. I haven't ever had to wait more than 5-7 minutes. I get gel polish. Lots of color options. I also get my upper lip waxed here. Very quick process and Vivian eased my fears the first time I got it done. Their prices are standard for what you see at most places. Wish there a bit more consistency with the small things: 1) Sometimes I don't get offers for water 2) Sometimes my hand massage is like 10 seconds long. 3) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us tip with a freaking card! No one carries cash anymore! I feel terrible because it's not in my regular schedule to go to the ATM/get Cash back; they deserves tips, but customers also deserve options. Maybe I will ask for my techs cash app or Venmo next time. I'm certain "no card tipping" is just a fee thing with the card companies, but that's the cost of doing business. Don't be cheap at the expense of your techs if that's the case. The policy is so inconvenient! Overall though I'm very pleased with Mon Cheri and their services. Visited this nail salon today. I've been here maybe two other times in the past 4 years since moving to this area. I've never had a problem waiting very long for someone to take care of my nails. I went in today for a acrylic set. She was nice and really made sure I liked what I was getting. I wish I got her name but I didn't. When she was drilling (filing or whatever) she ended up catching my skin on two of my fingers. Ouch. All in all, I like my nails. Makes me feel good since I haven't had acrylics in a long time. I've been coming here since they opened. The owners are very nice and everyone is customer friendly. They offer snacks and drinks. I get mani's and pedi's as well as eyebrows waxing. My entire family comes here and I've brought along plenty of friends that have continued going. Vivian is the only person I go to. I've been following her around since I was 15. I haven't found anyone who takes care of me better than her. I bite my nails and cuticles, they usually look disgusting. Everytime I decide to grow them out Vivian comes through. She came back with $5 only and I told her to give back $15 not $5. She pretended to not understand and went back and came back with 5 $1 bills. I have been coming to Mon Cheri since Springfield mall was renovated a few years ago. I have really enjoyed coming here up until my last few visits. Today was really my tipping point. I've been hesitant to write a review on this place but have been wanting to for quite some time so here it is: When I first arrived to Mon Cheri, I was blown away by the cleanliness and the nail services provided. What I really didn't enjoy was the customer service provided by the receptionist or lack thereof. It wasn't just the first time either. Every receptionist, with the exception of one, was rude, didn't put the customers needs first, and would not stop what they were doing to assist the customer awkwardly waiting at the front desk. They have been on their personal cell phones while a customer waits for them to be acknowledged too. As a prior receptionist at a salon myself, that's not the type of customer service any receptionist should provide. Today, I walked in to get a pedicure and a manicure. Prior to coming, I went back and forth with myself as to wanting to go here or another location. I should have gone with my gut. I informed my nail tech that I had the SNS powder on my nails and that I was going to do it again. She went on to inform another nail tech and the gentleman went to get two small baggy's filled with acetone. As I was getting my pedicure, I had to soak my fingers in this acetone for the entire pedicure. I'm not sure what the communication between my nail tech and the other nail tech was, but my pedicure was rushed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this location has advertised that pedicures take "30 minutes." I was ripped off by at least 15. I then had to wait until another nail tech was available who could do SNS. I have done SNS here before and never had to deal with this. I informed the new nail tech that I no longer wanted to do a color and that I just wanted to get the SNS removed and a clean up. She then informed me that a "clean up" would be $27. I found that to be interesting seeing that I have gotten a clean up before and they only charged me $12. As she proceeded to remove the SNS from my nails, the dust from the powder and front nail tips was all over my arm. Once she was done filing my nails down to the shape I wanted, she then proceeded to massage lotion all over my hands and arms with the powder all over me. THEN decided to tell me to wash my hands. If she would have done a regular manicure like she informed me she was doing since it was $27, I would have expected the entire show (hot wax and lotion). Moral of this entire review/story is, if a customer says they want a manicure or pedicure, the receptionist should at least clarify with them and see what type of mani/pedi they want so situations like this don't occur and you have the right nail tech who knows this technique to do it. It's safe to say that I don't think I'll be returning here which is a shame. I really appreciated how sanitary they are with their tools. However, I'm really tired of the poor customer service. This says a lot from someone who doesn't usually write reviews or gets caught up in nutty gritty situations but this really grounded my gears and I can't keep quiet anymore. I rated this 2 starts because the manicure was dropped down to $22 rather than $27 but still didn't change my experience. I hope it's different for others. read more

Sorry I'm advance for the long review but this is a long time coming. I've been to this salon three or four times, each time hoping I'll have a better experience. The one compliment I have for the technician (I wish I knew her name but she is stationed next to Hannah) was that she was somewhat patient and helpful in picking colors, even if she kept trying to push me to pick pinks and glitters that I told her I did not want. She upsold me on the sns manicure which I'm at least hoping leaves my nails healthier after removal compared to gel. Since the powder makes it hard to tell what color the final product will be, I was kind of putting my trust in her to match the photo reference I gave her and although I like how the colors turned out overall it wasn't the goal. Alright, now for the fun part! I told her in the beginning to be careful with my cuticles, mentioning that every time I've gotten my nails done the technician ended up cutting up my cuticles terribly, leaving me bloody and in pain for days. She promised she would be careful and in the beginning was. However, once she had finished with the dipping powder and started with the grinder she began harshly shaving the skin off of my cuticles, leaving open wounds on multiple fingers. I even said "OW" and she either didn't hear me or ignored me and continued with my multiple passes over my now raw cuticles. I had to tell her three times that I was bleeding before she finally stopped to put some antiseptic on one of them, which was quickly washed off and then brushed over with an alcohol solution. You would think for all the pain I went though the coats would be well shaven down, but some fingers are definitely thicker and not at all smooth. Before applying the top coat I noticed a piece of fuzz or lint on one nail and told her multiple times that it was there. She looked at me, then closely at my nail, said "no" and kept working, so now it's trapped under the clear coat. This is really the least of my worries at this point but I still thought it was worth mentioning. I had originally intended on leaving a big tip as a thank you for being so careful and for dealing with me trying to pick out multiple colors but I couldn't look past leaving with messy looking nails and bloody fingers once again. What's the fun of a manicure if you have to cover it up with bandaids??? Three stars for the colors and overall look from afar, but it should probably be two given the messy work and what hopefully won't end in multiple infections from deep cuts. read more

First time here and I love it!!! As a bridal consultant I'm on my feet constantly! I decided to treat myself tonight and I'm so glad I did!!! I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment and the guy that answered made me an appointment for 30 minutes later. I got there 7 minutes prior to my appointment and was really pleased with the atmosphere! Calming music, a seemingly clean facility, and a modern decor so my first impressions of the place were fantastic. I was escorted back into the pedicure area and a gentle asked me if I wanted anything to drink before he helped me step into the seat. I accepted a soda and proceeded to relax in their high tech massage chair. I'd honestly just come back for the massage chair alone! I opted to get the deluxe spa pedicure for $50.00 and it was so worth it. Nancy was my nail tech, and she did a fabulous job of scrubbing all the calluses away and I love the way they do the paraffin wax. They place the wax inside a spa bag then allow your feet to slide into the bag instead of stepping into a nasty reused wax machine. The hot stones were a nice relaxing touch, I only wish mine were a little hotter. Nancy proceeded to massage my legs and feet at just the right pressure, I'm so glad I came to see her. She could tell by my reaction whether or not she was applying too much pressure and kept making sure that I was comfortable. After she was finished my massage she placed these massive thick hot towels over my legs and it felt like heaven! I so could have gone right to sleep. The only downside is when I walked outside my pores were completely open and it was freezing outside. My toes were looking so good I decided to get my nails done. Nancy did a pretty good job of making my hands look brand new but I hate that she knicked me a few times. I winced a couple times when she was polishing my nails. Overall I'd definitely go back, it's a little pricey so maybe once a month for me, but worth it! read more

Even though they were full, they provided excellent customer service. I went in there knowing who I wanted to do my nails because of the reviews on here. I requested Diane. Because she was doing someone feet, I went and asked about their eyebrows and eyelashes. The woman who did them explained that the clustered ones looked pretty natural. So I went a head and got my eyelash and eyebrows done. When I finished, Diane was ready waiting to do my nails. I had a clear gel from previous manicure. She told me it would cost an additional 5 dollars to take it off. I showed her the shape that I wanted my nails. She told me the coffin shape was also an additional 5 dollars lol. I told her OK. She went ahead and did my nails. Because I had already totaled 45 dollars on top of my full set I decided to get regular nail polish instead of gel. She accidentally pit some of my sparkles on my other nails so she completely wiped off my nail and did it all over. When she finished she brought me a peppermint pattie and they're membership card. I visited a few more times (~3) after my inital review, and while everything about the salon and service stayed at 5 stars, my nails did not hold up well. I go 2 weeks max between fill ins and after one week in I had the edges begin to lift up. This is somewhat normal across the "acrylic nail" board, I guess. However, at my usual nail spot - which is, admittedly, not as fancy - this never happens. Since the main reason I get my nails done is for the final outcome I had to revise my review. read more

Absolutely a horrible place to have your acrylic nails removed!! When I first came in, the receptionist greeted me and ask what I needed done. She then told me to go over to the station with this lady. I think her name is Tina. Tina started cutting my acrylic nails and then she had me moved to another station and resuming cutting my nails. Another nail tech had finished and she came over to chat with Tina. Then Tina told me go to over to the other nail tech station so that tech can finish for me while Tina goes and do a mani and pedi for someone else. The other nail tech I think her name was Lena. She starting clipping and yanking the acrylic nails. It was super painful!! And she took a very long time. She kept insisting that I should get a manicure done as well. After finishing, I waited 15 minutes to be checked out. At the reception desk, there was two employees who were on their cell phones and talking to each other about activities that they were going to do. This place isn't worth coming to. You pay $15 just so they can give you a painful experience to remove your acrylic nails. read more
