I've used Monaco several times from Crown Heights to both airports and they're always on time (even at 4am) and have been friendly. On 2/4/14, our flight at JFK was cancelled due to weather. We ended up staying the night with a friend in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. That night, we made a reservation for a car service to pick us up at 700am to go back to JFK for a 930am flight. The car service called us back twice, once at 500am worried about the weather and again at 615am to tell us they did not have a car. Not willing to lose a flight from New York, my wife cold called Monaco Car Service. Within 30 minutes they had driver Ray and his car at our door. The weather was bad and driving conditions were not great but Ray got us to JFK safely and for less than the cab trip cost the previous night. I would not hesitate using them again. read more

Does it make sense otherwise that the phone operator politely insists that all reservations have to be made on line, while the on-line system doesn't work and instead encourages you to call instead? Driver arrived promptly; the ride was uneventful. When it was time to pay he charged me $3 more than the quoted price for some vague credit card fee. Three dollars are not going to break my bank, however, if there is a fee to use credit card you should have informed me BEFORE charging it, not AFTER. read more

I called Monaco two days early to schedule a pick up service and at the end of the call I asked for him to send me an email confirmation and he said "ok, give me a few minutes and I'll call you back".... He never called back, so the next day I called to confirm my reservation and the guy says "oh I don't have have it here, he must not have completed it". I said "no worries, I'll give my service to someone else, bye". Glad that I called to confirm or else I wouldn't be getting picked up to go to the airport! read more

This is a terrible car service .... I've called on more than a few times for a car and they'll tell you five minutes , and on multiple occasions the car didn't come or came 20 minutes late .... I would not recommend this service to anyone that's in a rush read more

Very pleased with this car service. The driver was prompt, car clean. He took my suitcase to car without me asking. He drove at a good pace, carefully. The price to JFK $35 was more than my old service, now out of business, however their cars were dirty and smoky. Also the dispatcher was very polite whereas the prior one was rude. I have been a loyal customer for ten years. Overall, they have been decent. This past weekend. I called dispatch to preorder a minivan to pick me up in Manhattan to transport an item to Prospect Heights for $38. The dispatch made a mistake and sent the driver to my house in Prospect Heights. I was very clear. Instead of rectifying the situation, he put me on hold and hung up on me several times. I had my sister call to find out what went wrong. He hung up on her too. I would have paid a little bit more money for the extra time to come into the city if he said so. But, I was left stranded on a sidewalk in Manhattan. Luckily, after an hour and half, I was able to get Mobil car service to take me home. In my opinion, Monaco's customer service was lousy during this instance. read more

Price quoted was fair, but after being told "7 minutes" and then three calls and 25 minutes later they "don't know what happen to car 22." And say 3 minutes, they'll send another one. Still waiting 15 minutes later, sooo late for work it finally came...Was excited to find a service in my neighborhood since I go to the airport a lot, but not if the drivers disappear on me. I really dont like rating businesses poorly unless i have good reason. I called Monaco to pick me up from JFK to my hotel in Brooklyn. The rate was $36 and I gave a 4$ tip. Because the service was excellent, I decided to book them again for my return from the hotel back to the airport. However, this time the driver told me it was $45. I asked him "I thought it was $40. Thats how much it was on my way there!" and he replied "Ok if you want to give me $40 you can give me $40." I'm not upset at the price; I'm upset that he tried to rip me off!!! Quoted a price of $30 for a 5 am pick up at JFK. This car actually waited for me for over an hour because of flight delays. Had a frustrating time communicating since his English was VERY bad and my Hispanic non existent. When he showed up in a 5-8 year old Corolla...a Corolla? wtf? (I had expected a town car, silly me) My suitcase fit in the trunk and my golf bag was jammed in the back seat with me. If I was a party of 2, it would be NG. When we arrived at my destination, he asked for $50. I told him, "No, his boss said $30 so here is $30 plus another $5 tip. Have a nice life" (I was going to give him a $10 tip). Next time, I'll make sure the driver speaks and understands English, the language of this country, and if the car will fit my needs. Never had any trouble with All Island or Ollies. read more

If I could give them lower than one star, I would. Customer service is appallingly horrible. If you like being yelled at and disrespected, use this service. I called to reserve a car for 4:30am. I knew it was a very early pick up time and wanted to be safe, but was told to call in the morning. When I did call, no one answered for 20 minutes, and the person who did answer was rude. In the car, I wanted to confirm the price as we approached the destination. The person who answered proceeded to get angry and yell at me about the fact that I should already be in the car. I told her I was and repeated that I'd like to know the total. She continued yelling, asking where I was and that she told me the car was there 30 minutes ago. I repeated that I was in the car, clarified we were almost at the destination, and that I wanted to know the total. She wouldn't answer, instead asking me if the driver didn't already tell me the total. I asked her if she was able to answer my question or not, at which point she FINALLY told me the total. I got out of the car swearing I wouldn't use them again, but decided to give them another try because she may not have been a morning person. Called to be picked up from the location. He asked where I was, and I gave the street location and said I'd be waiting inside of the bodega on the corner with the name "deli and grocery." He asked for the name again, I repeated "deli & grocery" is in very big print. He said "that's ridiculous." and that was it. End of the call. Still, I brilliantly decided to use them again later that day. Asked to be picked up from a location in "about 15 minutes." When the car arrived, I got a call saying the driver was there. I was paying for my pet's vet visit and said "Perfect! Thanks, I'll be in the car within 5 minutes." The person on the phone began to yell about the fact that I told him 15 minutes, and now it's been 15 minutes and I'm telling him 5 more minutes, and what's wrong with me, etc etc. I asked if it would be a problem for the car to wait 5 minutes, or if I should use another service. He told me to use another service and launched into some explanation of the driver being in a hurry (note that at this point I would already be in the car or opening the car door, he'd spent so much time fussing). I hung up the phone and went back to my usual car service which is further away but SO much more convenient. Jupiter Car Service is incredible, and has taken me to far locations promptly and without any irritation. I'll be looking for a car service near my new apartment that measures up to their standard of service. read more

I was a little nervous when I called because the dispatch seemed extremely busy - like they were dealing with multiple calls, and I wasn't sure if they heard my address correctly. BUT the next morning the driver called 5 minutes before the expected arrival to tell me he was 3 minutes away. They picked me up from Crown Heights and had me to JFK in 30 minutes. Only $43 plus tip - great price for how good the service was. Perfectly on time, very professional, and extremely kind to me on the way to the airport. My wife and I have used Monaco for airport trips at least 5-6 times since moving to Crown Heights and have received great service every time. They're always punctual and courteous. Recently I even asked them for a round trip ride to JFK to drop my mother off and then return home. The driver waited patiently while I helped my mom check in and then picked me up promptly when I called him. On top of that he was extremely friendly. I'm very happy with the service and will be using them again. read more

The worst experience ever with them today. The funny thing is I always use them when I go to the dispatcher directly. Today I decided to call them because I have a bad foot and didn't want to walk there in the snow OMG they said someone will be at my house in 3 minutes. I went downstairs immediately and waited- this was around 9am in the snow....I waited outside not the vestibule, no one came...called back "oh the driver will be there in 1 minute" NOTHING it's now 9:30ish and no one came. When we called them again the dispatcher says "the driver came twice, and no one was there...my GPS showed him there twice, I am not sending anyone again." Are you serious???? no one ever came, I never used their services on a Saturday so I do know if the dispatcher is different and stupid but that was ridiculous!! I never write reviews and I am so tempted to call the BBB and complain to the top but idk everyone has a bad day....all I ask is to be honest and say we messed up, let me send someone else or something. read more
