I have been to a lot of mechanics and dealerships through the years. Let's be honest it is almost always horrible stories. No one wants to go to the dealership for anything. I can honestly say this changed for me with my experience at Monaco Ford. I'm not going to lie, going in I thought oh here it comes, overpriced, a bunch of stuff that doesn't need fixed, etc. Same as anyone would think. They were really wonderful. I mean they exceeded everything across the board. They assign you a service contact, and then they can update you via phone, email, text, whatever. It is great. I thought ok we're off to a good start. I noticed they had a lot of customer service awards in the facility. I can see why. I'm not going to bother with the details here, but let's just say something bad happened while my truck was there. They very well probably could have swept it under the rug and moved on and I'd probably not have known. Other dealerships have done the same to me in the past, flat out shafted me, I found out later and had to pursue them. Not so at Monaco Ford. They called me, and explained everything, and said they would take care of it all. They took my truck, gave me loaner cars, sorted everything out, and were just so wonderful about everything I couldn't possibly complain. I imagine some people might have screamed and whined about problems while their car was getting repaired. But really, can anyone say they have NEVER made any mistake at work EVER ? No ! That would be silly. The main thing is Monaco Ford were HONEST about everything, kept their word, and were highly communicative and friendly through the whole thing. I couldn't have been happier with a mistake. Caitlin Sage is just magnificent and the whole team there is wonderful to work with. Thank you all so much for your great service ! They really went above and beyond. It wasn't much longer after that I bought a new Ford from them. Let me tell you if you want to buy a car, Megan Pincince is the one to go there and ask for. She was so patient with all my crazy requests and questions, showed me lots of cars, and really I felt went out of her way to find me the EXACT car I was looking for. It was the first time I thought a car salesperson actually cared, LISTENED to what I was looking for, understood and went and got it. Most of the time they just blanket you with calls about nothing you asked for during dinner. Megan is the best ! She'd email and text me about what she found for me. Really, just go buy a car from her right now, you'll be glad you did. I highly recommend Monaco Ford. They were just fantastic for both service and a car purchase. read more

I recently had a second child and was in the market for a new vehicle. I knew I was looking for a lease because I did not want the worries of a used car and also wanted low monthly payments. Having never owned a Ford in the past, I stopped by Monaco on a Friday night just to browse their inventory and assess vehicle sizes in person. We were greeted by a very friendly sales person, Aaron, who offered to answer any questions we had but also respect our privacy and let us walk around without feeling as though he was breathing down our necks. Since we knew we would not be buying that night, we thanked Aaron and told him we would be back in the morning after considering all our options. After visiting a few other dealerships that evening we ultimately decided to return to Monaco and lease a Ford on Saturday morning primarily due to Aaron. He embodied everything a customer would want from a salesman...friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, but most importantly he was RESPECTFUL! He did not put pressure on us to buy a car just for the sake of making a sale and went above and beyond to help us make sure we were getting everything we wanted in the car from options to pricing. (This was particularly impressive as I was receiving multiple calls and text messages a day from a very pushy salesman at another dealership.) After signing a lease deal, Aaron even took the time to sit with us in the car before driving off the lot to go over a lot of the vehicle and Ford Sync features that often go unused because people can't figure out how to navigate the system. I dropped my 13 F150 off for warranty work which they repaired but on Saturday the service writer called to tell my the tech was not satisfied with the performance of the vehicle and was calling Ford. I left the truck for the rest of the weekend. On Monday the service writer call about a oil leak I told her I change the oil and that some oil dropped on the skid plate and that I checked the filter for leaks a couple of times no leaks. They proceeded to change the filter and oil and charged 155$. I paid for the service and asked for the filter . The tech could not explain why the filter was leaking . The filter is a K&N. I contacted K&N and will send you a the filter back for testing. I have been doing this for over 40 years and have never seen a Catastrophic failure of a oil filter. I will update when I get the results back from the test Update on filter test K&N contacted me with their result the filter is fine and included a video of the test. I contacted the service manager but no response. I drove to the dealership and talked with a manager there with having all the evidence to support my claim they would not refund my money. I had the courtesy to allow a out for them but they failed to take it. So I will pursue other avenues. I hope the negative press is worth the 155$ read more

I don't shop for a new car very often because the process of obtaining price quotes from dealerships is often a very painful process. In my 57 years of life, I have experienced every possible deceptive and misleading pricing scheme imaginable that dishonest dealers play to low-ball the price on a new car. I don't understand why these dealers feel this is the only way they can "earn" your trust and business. However, there is one dealer that I have returned to many times over the past 15 years, and every experience has been the most professional, ethical and honest anyone could ask for. I recently visited Monoco to assist my mother in purchasing a new car. We met with sales manager Greg Smith, and business manager Greg Pearson. The price quote was very competitive. No games! No deceptions! Everyone we met with was very professional. Needless to say, we purchased the car and I know my mother will experience the same professionalism from the service department that I have experienced over many years. I cannot think of any dealer I would recommend more strongly than Monoco Ford. My lease was up and I went back to Monaco and returned by Fusion Energi 2015 and picked up an Energi 2017 with 0% 5-year financing from Ford (thank you!). Their showroom area has been completely remodeled and has much more room for displaying various models. They seems to have a very good selection of available car models (especially trucks). The reason I keep going to back to Monaco is that it's a low (no) pressure sales environment and the salespeople are very patient showing different models and options. You don't have to sit through any "I'm going to have to talk to my manager". Monaco gave me their best price (ok, maybe I could have negotiated but it seemed very fair) and the deal was done. Financing was simple and they followed through on everything they said they would - including getting me registered for Connecticut's EV tax credit and emailing me the paperwork (without me having to call and ask them to). I've been here for service on the car - though thankfully it does not require much at all - and the service area is very fast and convenient. Over the course of several years, I have purchased 2 SUVs and now 2 regular vehicles from Monaco. read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE. I never thought I would have good things to say about a dealership, and I wasn't even looking for a Ford, but the staff at Monaco really impressed me. I worked with Henry in sales and throughout my search for a truck, he was the only saleman who was respectful, accomodating, and knowledgable all together. I was so disappointed in how I was treated at other dealerships but Monaco truly earned my respect and trust. Henry sold me a fantastic F150 that is perfect for what I need, and I absolutely love it. When my credit union screwed me over on my loan and backed out of the interest rates they gave me, Mario had my back and found me a bank with rates and a down payment that worked for me. He took plenty of time to go over the paperwork with me and made sure I understood exactly what I was signing. My husband and I bought a 2000 Ford Explorer from Monaco Ford in 2001 and then we bought a 2006 Explorer in 2007. We already had a 1996 Ford Windstar. Monaco's has been doing all regular maintance and repairs on all these vehicles. When we first got these cars we had a FORD dealership in Colchester where we live, but we would drive to Glastonbury to Monaco's, because I couldn't trust this dealership. They are family run and I always recognize the people I see there. I do not know all teir names but I do recognize there faces. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. I had to have brakes replaced on one of the vehicles, which I had not planned for so they took me home and picked me up to rake me back to get my car whwn it was ready. Colchester is not near Glastonbury. They did this with a smile. We highly recommend Monaco's. read more

I purchased a 2010 Fusion Sport in June, 2009. Still happy with the transaction. All service has been done by Monaco except when I needed oil changes while on long trips. All work was done right and at the appointed time. The service writers are very good at listening to you and explaining the work that is needed. My son has a 2008 Focus and has also had good results with Monaco. They really helped him out when he ran over something on the highway that destroyed a wheel and tore up his front suspension. Our cars are ageing well, so not likely in the market for new ones, but would definitely buy Fords from Monaco if we were. In the meantime, we'll continue to have our automotive service needs performed by Monaco. read more

Horrible buying experience. The dealership misquoted rebates to entice the sale. They purchased my truck from me while I was waiting for the delivery of my new truck. When my truck came it had a tear in the leather and two chips in the paint. It was very difficult to get those issues remedied. Had I not sold my truck to them two weeks prior and had a vehicle to drive home I would not have gone through with the deal. I think the dealership knows how to play the game by buying a customer car well before the purchase on ordered vehicles so the customer is stuck on the purchase since they don't have their car anymore. read more

I am always pleased with Monaco Ford. They don't have pushy salesmen like most dealerships. They are honest and won't lie to you to get you to buy a car. Also the vehicle you buy there they check first and repair anything if it needs to be, so when you buy a car you don't worry about something going wrong with it a week down the road. Their service department is honest too. They know what they're doing and they do it right, and if something doesn't need fixing they won't lie to you to get you to spend more money. I have been using the Monaco Ford garage for virtually all of my car maintenance and repairs since I first owned a car and my dad went there for repairs all the way back to 1966. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous, always checks with me before doing any extra work, and has never done any unnecessary work on my car. Never have I had to bring my car back for a botched repair. I feel very fortunate that are convenient to where I live. I have heard many horror stories about car repairs (not about Monaco), and am happy to say that such stories have never been in my experience. read more

Bought a used 2014 Ford Fusion from these guys a few months back. By FAR the best car-buying experience I've ever had. They treated me with respect and never tried to pull the wool over my eyes about anything. I paid what I consider to be a good price and they were able to get me great financing through Ford Credit (1.9%!). Great company! They don't push you or pressure you into buying with sleazy tactics (e.g special offer, if you buy today, it won't be there tomorrow etc). They openly and honestly answer all your questions, and will always be ready to help you. I bought a fusion hybrid over a Camry hybrid even though Camry has a better resale value, mainly because of the quality of service I received here compared to sleazy joints like toyota superstore in Hartford.
