That is no longer the case as I recently discovered. Yesterday (Feb, 2024) at Star Auto it cost me $39.99 for a regular oil change. Today (July, 2024) I went to Pep Boys and it cost $35.99. Tomorrow if you go to Star Auto expect to pay $82 plus taxes and fees per a sign posted in their service department. Yesterday (Sept, 2023) the cost of tire rotation at Star Auto was $19. Today I had my tires rotated at Star Auto at a cost of $32.55. Tomorrow I will be heading to Pep Boys where there is no charge. Yesterday (Sept 2023) my wife had a synthetic oil change at Star Auto for $89.95. Today (July, 2024) my wife had a synthetic oil change for $78.68 including taxes at Pep Boys. Tomorrow if you go for a synthetic oil change at Star Auto expect to pay $115 plus taxes per a sign posted in the service department.

Could this possibly come out using PDR? (Paintless Dent Removal). I initially called a place that just does PDR but it was a little too far from my house and they were a little frustrating to schedule an appointment with. On a whim I called Affordable and they told me to come right down. Jaime gave me an estimate and told me to bring it back the next day. 24 hours later BOOM. That unsightly dent it gone. And the price? Well they definitely lived upto their name. But most of all the quality of repair was great. I can't tell at all where the dent was. 100% gone. And I'm 100% satisfied. Had a horrible experience at Skytop. We needed work done on our car. The transmission went out on…read moreus. It hesitated when the light turned green then wouldn't shift. We managed to limp the car home. Having been to Skytop a number of years back and happy with the service and pricing I decided to go back there even having been told by others not to and that they're very shady over there. I should have listened. We get home and I schedule an appointment for their earliest time slot which was about 5 days away. I explain what the issue was to the girl on the phone and she said basically no problem and would I need a tow? I thought I would so I said yes. Asked about the price and she gave me a tow price of $150 for only a couple miles town in town. We decided against it the day of the schedule. We get the car there. Drop it off and talk to another girl. Maybe the same one? She takes some more info and I talk about the tranny again. She takes down some notes. I then ask if they can take a look at the tire. One tire has a slow leak. She said well we can look at it but they don't do tire repair and to take it to another shop. Um... what? So whatever. We leave and she advised if they don't get to it today it will be the first one tomorrow morning. Ok fine. The next morning I receive a text message with a laughable inspection report. Regarding the transmission... "Possible transmission work needed - Take to a transmission shop." So naturally I call and question this. The girl on the phone said she can't help and quickly transferred me to the service department where another girl answered. I asked her to explain and she advised that their transmission guy left about a year ago and they no longer work on transmissions. UM SO WHY DID YOU TAKE THE CAR AND WASTE MY TIME?! Obviously at this point I'm prepping to go get the car and take it somewhere else. In the process of making those plans I get a text message from someone blaming me and telling me I was told on the initial call that they couldn't promise they could work on it but that they may have someone that could do the job.... yeah no thank you. Something's not quite right and since I was told they don't do transmission work I can't trust this. Who's this person that they may or may not know that may or may not be available for service? How is that anyway to treat a customer???? Naturally at this point I'm frustrated. So I declined and went and picked up the car. Never again with Skytop! I wouldn't have my lawnmower serviced there.
