The whole Monarch team was terrific from start to finish! We had a possible lightning strike, which broke a couple of tiles, so we had Monarch Roofing out for a complete inspection. Tre did the initial inspection and discovered our builder cut corners when installing the caps and rakes by only using 2 1/2" screws, which barely penetrated the facia board. So he suggested replacing all the screws with 5", before the next storm caused additional damage. Alex was the supervisor on site and his crew did a fine job. I recently had Monarch do some work for me on my insurance claim and they were very helpful and did great work. I highly recommend them! I changed insurance companies and Allstate was very particular about what comprised an "impact resistant" roof material, it was at this time I found out that Monarch did use the higher grade of shingle and my roof met the requirements for the discount. Also there was damage to my paint and again Monarch did a Great job on using high quality paint and had the crew do a double spray to get the higher Mil thickness of paint. In addition they did my entire home whereas insurance was not covering the job 100%. The crew was a delight to work with and did an outstanding job! Some windows were damaged and Monarch did an outstanding job on educating me on the type of window and glass that was original and what I could choose from. I chose to upgrade a few windows from single hung to awnings and that was no issue. They also made sure I received appropriate compensation on the windows. My roof needed to be replaced so I called a few roofing companies to get estimates, I didn't like any of them for various reason (we don't deal with insurance, we don't provide all services so find someone else to do this or that part... etc.) then I called Monarch roofing based on my neighbor's recommendation, boy I'm so glad I did, and I can't thank her enough! This company is amazing, Patrick Bryan helped me out of a very stressful situation and I really appreciate it! I have neglected my roof for so long based on the advice of my previous independent insurance agent, so my roof was 20+ years old, multi-layered and in a very bad shape, I filed a claim with my insurance, an adjuster came in, looked at it then offered about 20% of the project cost due to age and deterioration... I was very stressed! Monarch stepped up to help, their entire team is top notch, they went above and beyond to help me get this done... in the middle of a pandemic! Patrick identified a ton of things that insurance missed like adding more vents, adding/replacing pipes, replacing soft spots and other upgrades necessary to bring the roof to current code. Very positive experience with Monarch. Since this was my first time filing a claim in Colorado for hail damage, I noticed that mostly all my neighbors in my cul de sac had Monarch's sign up. I did some research on my own and found great reviews on multiple sites including BBB. I also liked that they were not a "storm chaser" company and have been in Colorado for quite some time. I decided to go with Monarch. I was assigned Andrew P to my project. From the very beginning Andrew explained the whole process and answered all my questions. Well Monarch did not pay us to write a review no $ 200.00 bonus here, I am writing this on my own accord. A service company is only as good as their word, the crew they hire to complete the work, and their response in taking ownership if something goes south and how they recover from that and rectify the issue. So far here is the work they have over seen for us. After being hit by hail they replaced our roof and gutters, added a new roof extended section and new gutters, painted our home, changed out our windows that were damaged, Painted our fence, submitted all the paperwork and took care of all the meetings with the insurance company adjuster. We changed the color of our home, trim and added accent colors. the main base color we picked out did have some application issues not the fault of Monarch but might be in the paint itself. it is a tricky paint color. when the light hits it at certain angles it changes just a bit in some places. They did come out to fix the paint in those areas no complaints from them about needing to do this, they have taken ownership of the issue and responded to make it right. Let he who is perfect cast the first stone. so far Monarch has done a great job in making our home look better and repairing mother natures damage. The only thing that I am finding is a few nails that came from the roofing. those little suckers have a mind of their own and they did a magnetic sweep for them and got most of them picked up but every now and then I find one that fell in the small river rocks that surround our home. It would be hard to get them all in one shot and really I didn't expect them to find them all. our neighbor had their roof done as well by another company and they are finding a few nails as well it's the nature of the nail to go where it can't be seen. With the paint I think that the color was tricky, like most paint jobs if you spray you get one texture and any brush touch ups will give you another texture and when the light hits it because light is the reason for color it may appear a little different the way the light bends on the texture. we noticed just a few more spots that we all missed the first time the season has changed and so has the suns direction just enough to present these areas and Monarch is coming out today to make it right. Thank you Monarch currently I have no negative issues with this company and as of now I would recommend them to my friends and family and anyone else. they did a great job. read more

After a massive hail storm hit our area in April 2012, and every house in my neighborhood was damaged. We selected Monarch because they could handle ALL our repairs. We felt they were qualified and would be able perform. We also did a search on Yelp and saw they were a FIVE Star contractor.... BUT didn't see the numerous "Filtered Reviews" You have to wonder if YELP received some sort of kick back to hide those reviews.... In any case my review will more than likely get filtered. The roofing part of the job was performed and rejected by the city inspectors twice. I have to agree with the other filtered reviews in stating the Salesman overpromised and under delivered, and the fact that they acted as a intermediary with the insurance company was a nightmare, supplemental claims were made and the invoicing (billing process) was horrendous, nothing was clear as to what we were being charged for, and when the payments from mortgage company were held up, Monarch threatened to place a lien on my property. A word of caution, there is plenty of roofing companies out there, be careful with this one. This company has so many employees that are coming and going you will NEVER talk to the same person twice (except the offices collections person). As a matter of fact, our project manager and salesperson left the company during our project and we got cast off to several different people. I'm having a difficult time trying to grade this company. For the work performed I have to give them a 3, based on the two rejections by the city inspector, and appointments that were made and they never showed. For the Sales person, I have to give a 3, even thou they left the company. Took over 10 months to finish re-roofing my house and experienced nothing but problems. Also, whatever you do, NEVER let them talk to the insurance company for you or let them handle the insurance checks. I have used them before. Hailstorm hit today & I called. They were in the area and were able to come right out and put a temporary patch over our shattered skylight, to keep out the rain while we wait for insurance. They were only slightly more expensive than the cheapest, who was a private contractor who would not provide any warranty in writing. His estimate was clear. After a massive hail storm hit our area in June, almost every house in our neighborhood was in need of a lot of work - new roofs, siding, stucco, gutters...you name it. We chose Monarch based on the simple fact that they could handle many facets of the job. We felt they were professional and would be able to deliver a quality repair and be on time. To date, our roof was just completed. We were told that the job looked great by the sales person only to find several issues. Drip edge did not match the house and was installed improperly. After being notified, Monarch did send crew to fix...again. However, it was the inconveniece of a job not being done right the first time. When we questioned one of the sales reps, he told us that the job done would have been good on a lesser expensive house in another area. WHAT??? So you pay less for your house you get less? We also asked the schedule of repair for our stucco, gutters, window frames and screens and we were told that they were having staffing issues and c'mon it's construction getting a firm date is next to impossible. Really? At this time, I cannot make a positive recommendation of Monarch Contruction. Giving them 2 stars was generous. read more

I contracted Monarch to put a new roof on my house. The person I initially dealt with was named Kevin. I think he was fired or quit but I was told by him that the job would be done in no more than three weeks. That was last summer. Yesterday 2/12 they finally finished. Roughly SEVEN months after they started. It was an absolute circus dealing with these people. Up until yesterday there was a piece of brown sheet metal haphazardly nailed on the side of the front of my home. "my home is blue." I had to complain repeatedly about the sheet metal over a period of months before they finally fixed it. Also the clear roof over my back deck. Five people came out to check to see if it was done when it had never even been started. An equal number of came out to measure and tell me the specific day it would be put on only to have that day pass and nothing happen. The original permit for my job was pulled in October 3rd of 2016. I was told three weeks. The job passed inspection finally in April of 2017. Enough said. read more

We had a leak in our master closest, was recommended this company by a friend (don't worry this friend and I will have words!), and I am sorry to say I do not have one good thing to say about these folks. They came out the first time and patched the area only to have continued leaks, they came back again and we all thought they had got it this time. So we repaired all the ceiling and walls where there was water damage, reset up our closest, and guess what?! Yep, it's leaking again!! Same spots as before! After the second time they came out to fix it they told us that if we had more problems to call them and they would return, and that if we fixed the interior work and it leaked again that they would either repair it themselves to have someone fix it for us. You think they actually lived up to that guarantee of their work, ha! Not a chance! When I called them to inform them it was in fact leaking, AGAIN, they told me there was nothing more they could do to fix it and I would have to get an entire new roof. So now I'm in search of a new roofer, and have to start from scratch repairing the interior water damage, for a second time. Waste of our money and time, not to mention the damaged clothing and complete headache. DO NOT use this rip off, pos roofing company, it will be a complete waste of your time and money!!! read more

In August 2012, this company replaced our roof, exterior stucco and gutters due to damage we had from a very bad hail storm. Monarch was the roofer doing most of the roofs in our neighborhood. About 12-18 months later the flat roof system started to fail, leak and cause extensive drywall damage in our finished garage. In March 2015, we called Monarch to inspect this damage and they officially claimed on letterhead paper that the root cause of the leaking and damage is due to improper drainage that was due to poor architectural design and that they were not liable. This was my warning sign #1. I recently got a second opinion and someone that could resolve the issue for me. This certified contractor told me that the flat roofs were poorly installed and the leaking was due to improperly sealed flashing. He ran a water test to prove this. I let this contractor fix my leaks and repair the drywall. A little while later stucco in certain areas started to fail and crack in several areas so I just repaired them as they occurred. I am still dealing with this. In fact, the stucco was splattered all over the place when they installed it. They would not clean up after themselves. Next the mitered gutter corners are leaking in several corners now. The gutter were not properly sealed and 2 to 3 years into the new gutters, the leaking is causing issues around the house. I hired another contractor to properly seal my gutters that were leaking. I was told that a portion of the gutters were not installed and leveled properly. This is where many of problems exist today. I reached back out to this company and was told that the gutters only have a 1 year workmanship warranty even though we were lead to believe this company supported the workmanship for 5 years. My recommendation to anyone considering having ANY roofing, stucco or gutter work from this company, that you seriously consider looking elsewhere because this company clearly has not stood by their work with my job. To this date, I continue to argue with them about these things that clearly are their responsibility. I will not call on them anytime in the future should another bad Colorado storm happen to do damage to my home. Not worth dealing with a company that does not stand by their work! UPDATE JUNE 2016. Alicia from Monarch got involved with my case and sent out roofing and gutter technicians to inspect my issues. The gutter concerns were already inspected and corrected. Yah! They are now determining the next course of action on my flat roofs. Now that they still have not been fulfilled and after asking for all of the money up front, they will not let me out of my contract where no work has been done and no money has exchanged hands. I do not wish to use their services, but instead of shaking hands and moving on as professionals, they want to force me to use them to complete my roof. It has only been a few days since I have signed the contract. I tried to call and speak with the owner, but was denied and instead given the voice mail of the VP in charge of operations. Every time they come out to my house it was a different person and no one would return my phone calls when they left. I could not be happier with this company. I called them because I saw one of their trucks and it said on the side that they were insurance specialists and I suspected that I had hail damage but wasn't sure how the process of filing a claim and all that worked. They sent out a salesman -Jacob Tabor-who walked me through the whole process. He assessed my roof and we called the insurance company and then he took it from there. He assured me from the start that they only worked for insurance dollars and I would only be responsible for my deductible. He worked out a price with the insurance company and that was that. They found more damage along the way and again they worked it out with the insurance company and I barely even got involved. When it was all said an done I had a new roof and a new ceiling which both look amazing and all was covered. Everyone I dealt with from monarch including the construction guys were extremely friendly and professional. They seemed to sincerely care that the work was done right. They even took extra measures on my ceiling to make sure it looked perfect when, honestly, they could have cut corners and I wouldn't have known any better. Thanks guys! read more

Well, well. A crew of roof repair men showed up at my door one morning. I said, "No, sorry, wrong house. Our roof repair is still a few weeks out according to our contractor." (Most of the homes in our neighborhood needed a new roof after a major hail storm). The lead man in the crew showed me his phone because "Jon", who sent him here, indeed texted him our address. (The man couldn't tell me Jon sent them via Monarch. I found this out later). The crew left my house equally as confused as I was, and after about 25 minutes of standing around and telling me they already had a dump truck on the way over for the repair they were about to complete on my house. "Tell that truck to turn around! It's not for us!" I emphatically tried to explain: "Our materials haven't even been ordered yet." The man would say, "They are on the way here now!" Huh???? I just told you they haven't been ordered yet! An hour later, the crew returns. "It's your house. It's this one. We will need you to move your car off the driveway and sign permit papers." Hm. I needed to double check. I replied, "Let me get in touch with my husband and contractor to confirm." Next thing I know, they are up on my roof, ripping away. I got in touch with my husband and contractor within a few minutes and indeed no crew had been set up yet nor any supplies ordered yet. I call up to the roof, "YOU HAVE THE WRONG HOUSE! Please stop!" The lead man in the crew comes down and keeps repeating, "Jon hired us." Jon, this. Jon, that. I didn't know who Jon was. My contractor is Aaron and is very good about updating us on progress. Suddenly, after about a half hour this second time around of showing up, the man's phone rings. It's Jon. He tells them, "Wrong house." That's what I had been telling them until I was blue in the face. Jon had the numbers wrong. We all make mistakes. I get it! But this mistake should have been realized after I sent the crew away the first time. Instead, they insisted (via Jon's guidance) that they had it right to the point where they ignored what I was saying and proceeded to begin tearing my roof off an entire hour after the visit the second time around. Not to mention, I have a baby and was trying to pack for a trip and couldn't get anything done because of this! Jon showed up shortly after and apologized. He said they would "leave a gift card in the mailbox next week for the inconvenience." Now many weeks later, we've yet to see the gift card. read more

Work was acceptable - customer service was the worst! Salesman overpromised and underdelivered, stated repeatedly that monarch would deal with Insurance and Mortgage companies involved with this roofing job. When funds were difficult to get from the mortgage company Monarch threatened to place a lien on my property - after they had promised through their salesman that they would be responsible for that end of paperwork. By far the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor - suggest not even allowing salesmen to be on your property - they will lie and overpromise as needed to get the job and then become threatening and very unfriendly when things do not work perfectly for them. She screamed at me to pay their invoice before I had my final walk-through and come to find out, the job was not done. We made the mistake of choosing Monarch to fix our roofing and stucco problems following a hail storm. In making repairs to our roof, Monarch necessarily removed the gutters. After finishing repairs to the roof, Monarch did not reattach the gutters. Instead, Monarch waited for an unknown reason and left significant debris around the house. That debris further accumulated during the time the gutters were not attached -- every time it rained, more debris from the roof would fall onto the ground because there were no gutters. We had to repeatedly call our "salesman" Miles to try to get Monarch to come out and finish the job. Fixing the roof took them 2 days, but finalizing the job including putting on the gutters and cleaning up the mess from the failure to put on the gutters took another month. We also had them do stucoo work for us, which we are still waiting on. Pursuant to the signed contract, the stucco work was to take 30-45 days. Monarch began the work in early October, at which time they added a new, non-matching base coat. Before adding the base coat, Monarch never determined whether they had the right texture and color to finish they job. When they finally got us a texture sample, they admitted (and we agreed) that it wouldn't match. Monarch, of course, thought it would be close enough. We obviously rejected that sample, questioned why they would start the job without knowing whether they could professionally finish the job, and told them to get it right. Now, more than 60 days after we signed the contract,Monarch finally came around to see if they had the right texture and color. In the meantime, our house has been a construction zone with an unmatching base coat, Monarch's trash laying around, and metal scaffolding in the front and back yards. Despite repeated requests for them to finish the project in the time stated in the contract, Monarch has done nothing. There are a lot of roofing and stucco companies in the Denver area. Do NOT use this one. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and produce untimely, subpar product. I have never posted a review of any business. But because of the the work, or lack thereof, by Monarch, I felt compelled to do so. read more

Over the past four years that we have lived in our home, we have hired nearly two dozen contractors for various repair/improvement projects and none (in terms of service, quality of workmanship and overall professionalism) have compared to Monarch's stucco team! From the very beginning, Lorena spoke to us about the scope of our project and our options for repairing and re-skimming our home. She was very kind, patient and professional, helping us to really understand what our home needed in terms of repairs. During one of our meetings, she even called in the company's stucco specialist, Miguel, to explain the stucco process and show us that our improper flashing had led to moisture damage behind the stucco. Unlike with other companies that we had talked to, we didn't feel pressured or over-sold. These two knew what they were talking about and walked us through how to best solve our problems. Miguel and Lorena's professional knowledge was evident and we were confident in hiring Monarch to do our job. Miguel and his crew worked on our home for nearly a month, repairing and re-skimming the entire exterior, installing flashing and making necessary repairs along the way. Without a doubt, it was a big job and, for my three little kids, a long time to have our house under construction but we never once felt inconvenienced. As promised, the crew showed up every morning at 7am ready to work (or more accurately, they arrived at 6:45 and were already physically working by 7am). After my experiences with numerous other contractors that weren't so reliable, this was refreshing. The Monarch guys showed up on time, were kind and respectful to my family and always left our home at the end of the day picked up and as tidy as possible. Even when we encountered a problem or two with unexpected rotting or an accidental color mix-up, the crew respectfully explained the situation and our options moving forward. Throughout the entire project, my husband and I were at ease, knowing that we hired the right crew for the job. Now that it is finished, we are the envy of the neighborhood! Daily, we get compliments on how gorgeous our home looks! The color is beautiful, the texture and detail are perfect and, structurally, everything is now properly flashed and protected from moisture.
