If I did, it would be something like "going to the doctor is the worst...no stars." However, as the human with the ability to type on a keyboard, I'll write this for him. I've taken my dog here a few times and have been incredibly happy with each visit. The technicians are wonderful-they recognize that he's scared, so they sit on the floor and let him approach them. They speak softly, offer treats and go slow. I can't say how much I appreciate that. Dr. Olsen is wonderful as well-I was amazed at how much he was able to check out while he was just talking with me and my doggo. He was thorough in his examination and gave some wonderful suggestions and guidance for his wellness and treatment. I'm happy to continue to my dog's treatments and check ups here at A Gentle Vet.

At the end of that appt they charged us $322 and told us it would be another $665 at the time of neuter. That is ridiculous they don't give a fee estimate up front. I was able to call Stone Ridge Veterinary clinic and they quoted MUCH less and they were able to quote an estimate BEFORE making me pay a dime. I realize the cost might change a little after they see him, but I doubt it will be over $900. They did allow us to cancel the bloodwork but we still had to pay $68 for an "exam" to be told the total neuter package would be over $900. Bad business and we told them we would be taking all our dogs to a different vet. They were indifferent.

Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect.

The vet is really good, she was able to save my dogs cracked tooth because she is specially trained to ado sealant and basically repair the tooth where most vets just pull it if it's broken. I was so happy they could save her large canine that she mostly chews with. The price was fair as well. Would highly recommend. Her teeth are perfectly white now. They also offer a sedation free dental cleaning service if the dog doesn't have major teeth problems like the broken tooth my dog has. If the dog has a good temperament they can clean the teeth with no sedation which would be much more affordable and safer for the dog. I am planning to return for the sedation free cleaning in the future.

With a dedicated vet, I'm paying more each visit, but the care for an issue and easy availability for quick questions is worth it. They do offer food/medicine/etc but I've never felt undue pressure to use it. That's a big deal for me, I'm all for smaller businesses adding revenue but not if they're aggressive about up-selling. Bella got to meet our Dalmatian, Hydro (who was 13 years old when he passed) for the first time after 20 years! I recommend highly their euthanasia services.
