First few times I went we're good. They came out he had his shots. They kept me waiting outside and then I called again and someone came out. He recently has had serious problems and I wanted him seen immediately. They weren't any help they told me as long as he is drinking water he's good. He's NOT good. He isn't breathing properly and they said the soonest was the next day. I drive an hour to see them and this was the final straw.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was truly disappointing. We brought our…read moreanxious pup in with the goal of scheduling a sedation grooming appointment -- something we were told required an initial vet visit to establish care first. Fair enough. We followed through, paid several hundred dollars for his vet exam and other recommended services, and assumed we were on the right track. Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect.

Well they completely ignored me and did it anyway. I then spent the following 3 days, trying to soothe and comfort my dog who was having full panic attacks and licking himself raw. The vet confirmed his glands were expressed. To me this is unacceptable and I did contact them to file a complaint. I do not recommend any place who does not take your animals needs seriously.

I went in for a second opinion consultation on a minor issue with my dog. After an hour past my appointed time, I was finally called into the exam room. The doctor and assistant finally arrived, and I explained the situation. I was told they could perform the procedure but it would be costly because anesthesia would be required. The doctor looked over my dog quickly, and then the update began. I was told that she would at some point have issues with her left knee. So they could do the paw nail issue and the knee at the same time, saving me from paying for anesthesia twice. But the cost of that was 3 times the cost of the initial procedure. I said I would think about it, and the assistant took us back out to the front reception area. I asked to write down the pricing of the 2 procedures and gave her my credit card. She came back with the document, gave me back my card, and we left. 3 months later I start to get calls from this clinic claiming I owed them for the visit. I told them they had my card and that I had paid. This went on over and over again, no one ever telling me how much I owed, me saying I paid, and they would look into it. Then the threat of collections came, finally with the amount in question. I contacted my bank and there was never a charge from them to my card. So why did they have my card but never charge it? I paid in cash, got a receipt, and left. I will never go back. They are like used car dealerships. Always trying to upsell and add additional charges. There are much better places to take your pet. Any other place would be better than this place.

Pew, Gavin, and Kolbaba, are the best anywhere. Sometimes I forget--until I talk to friends who live far away who can't easily come here. ANYTHING reproduction related, from ovariectomies to AIs, is their specialty, but they are my "Go To" vets for anything that needs a quick lab result, as they have their own lab on site. Bree is awesome and happy and helpful, even at "oh-my-heck" in the morning. If you just need vaccines, you can go anywhere. But anything else, here is the only choice! In an answer to the comment about "being worked in", perhaps some people don't understand that this clinic is like going to a specialty physician--you don't call a cardiologist and expect to be seen the same day, unless it truly IS an emergency. These vets are the best, and that is reflected in how full their schedules are every day. Last, but most definitely not least, this is a clinic that understands purebred dogs, dog shows, and those sorts of dedicated dog people. Dr. Pew used to breed and exhibit dogs himself, and is now also a respected AKC judge. No one here will read you the riot act for having an intact dog, though will nicely educate on the important decision and pros and cons.
