Let's be honest--most pets don't love going to the vet. Our pup has been hospitalized before, so he definitely gets a little nervous before any kind of appointment. But I have nothing but GLOWING things to say about this place. It feels way nicer than some other offices we've gone to, with cute decor, and very clean floors--which is really appreciated. The staff is beyond nice. They answer all your questions and take concerns seriously, even when you're worried it might be nothing and you're overreacting. They're completely understanding and love your pets like their own. They offer treats to all the good girls and boys and our favorite is the little fridge they have in the lobby where you can make your own pup cup. So thoughtful! My husband and I recently moved to the area, we chose this clinic because it was close to our home. The vet and assistant was amazing. Our dog was terrified to go in and was pretty stressed the whole appointment, They were so understanding that it can be uncomfortable to them. They were so patient and kind to our dog. They answered all of our questions and really took the time to get to know our dog. I really like this office and recommend it to anyone who feels nervous taking their pet to the vet. read more

Up until this last Saturday we thought Traverse was a nice place. The care from the Vets is great. Saturday morning we essentially begged for a vet to see our dog who had been vomiting straight blood the evening before. ( we called several ER vets which were a joke and lehi area is in need of an er vet badly) Mind you earlier this week we had to euthanize our older family pet , which was done at traverse. Once we told the receptionist our situation, begged to even drop our dog off to be seen at their convenience, she honestly couldn't have cared less. You're booked, that's fine. Have some damn compassion. Offer some form of alternative with a sprinkle of kindness. Something other than a spacey " hmm. Yeah. We're not accepting any walk ins today. Just go to salt lake" A business is only as good as it's staff. Traverse you may want to reevaluate your front office staff because whomever answered the phone showed as much compassion in my dog possibly dying as I'm sure she would in a piece of roadkill. We have been taking our dogs (3, two boxers and a cane Corso mix) for over 13 years! We love doctor Pew and his wife along with their entire staff. We originally heard about them through the show dog environment over 12 years ago and have gone to them for everything! For ear/tail docs, puppy immunizations, AI, heart and hip testing, neutering, spaying, ear taping, general vet care and we have always always had the most incredible experience. This place is terrible. My dog died a few days ago, and my family and I find out that she was incorrectly diagnosed by this vet. Here we were told she has lupus and we were given prednisone to treat her. Today from a different vet we find out she has bone cancer and she should not have been given prednisone, in fact, prednisone sped up her muscle loss and wasn't helping her pain at all. If she was correctly treated she would not have been in this much pain. I am so mad. She was in a lot of unnecessary extreme pain that could've been prevented if she was treated correctly. I never questioned this vet because I assumed they knew what they were doing but I was wrong. I remember I mentioned my dog's head shakes when i touch it, and the nurse asked me if it's because I hit her? To even assume that was infuriating and her head shaking was completely dismissed. And when she was first diagnosed with lupus the vet just looked at her nose from far away, said she needed prednisone to treat it and that was it. Later on her symptoms weren't getting any better and they just increased her dosage which I find out they shouldn't have. Today I find out they should've done blood work and x-rays. If they did that, they would've found out it was more than just lupus and she would've been on the right medications. I am so mad that I find all of this out on the day that my dog died. I regret going to this vet because my dog did not need to go through all of this unnecessary pain. They should've been more thorough with diagnosing her. I will never forgive myself for trusting this vet and not questioning what they were saying. The vet we took her to was extremely confused as to how they were overlooking all of these symptoms. And here we find out that prednisone was increasing her muscle loss which is extremely bad for bone cancer. This vet never told us that!!!! They just told us the medication will make her more hungry and thirsty. Please do not come to this vet. They do not deserve anymore money and I hate myself for coming here. My poor dog did not deserve any of this and her symptoms should've been taken seriously. I will never get over her death and I 100% blame them for their lack of care. - Per my google review they lied and said they took her blood work. Since we've started coming to this place, you've never once taken blood work. you never even said she needed blood work so i'm not sure who's profile you're looking at. I'm not sure what influenced you to make that up. But If you somehow did look at bloodwork without my knowledge, you did a terrible job at treating her since bone cancer is a serious thing to overlook. The other vet we took her to immediately noticed her bulging tummy and asked about it before we even mentioned it. you guys completely disregarded it and said it's loss of muscle mass. We took her to you MULTIPLE times and 2 weeks before she passed. Her symptoms were never serious to you but were extremely serious and noticeable to the other vet. This place is terrible for even lying just to save face. Please just take accountability for your lack of care. That's all I want after everything my dog had to go through read more

Love this place! They are so attentive to our pups and take such great care of them!! We lost our bulldog in the past when getting them spayed. We recently got another bulldog and needed to do the same, we were understandably nervous. They were so great about it and explained their process to me and called me the second she made it through the procedure. Have been let down twice by this establishment. First time, my dog was having cluster seizures. More than 3 in a 24 hour period. Instead of referring me to an emergency clinic, told me to be patient with the process and let the anti seizure medication kick in. It did not kick in quickly enough and thank God for my husband who thought to bring him to an emergency clinic for a second opinion. They said my dog was very unstable, and ended up having to give him a phenobarbital shot along with keeping him overnight. Said he would have died had we not taken him in. We are now on a care plan to treat his meningitis thanks to the other clinic that helped diagnose. I have to get his blood checked after his injection he gets every 3 weeks. Took him to the Traverse clinic today and the vet says she's unfamiliar with how to read all of his bloodwork. The emergency clinic I trust is wanting $125 just to help me understand the bloodwork that I have already paid Traverse Pet Care $45. Although I am happy the vet didn't just make up answers, I am disappointed they are unable to help me find answers due to what seems like a lack of education. read more

ZERO stars! I have been a LONG-time customer of Dr Weber (and back in the day with Dr Pew). They were amazing! BUT since they are no longer part of this vet's office, we had the most horrible experience. I brought my cat in for a dental cleaning and tooth extraction --after the surgery he was completely DEAF in BOTH ears (he had full hearing when he went in!). I have since found a new vet and seen specialists and spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out what happened and if we can reverse this but finding that both of his ear drums are blown, not just a hole, completely gone! How could that happen in a dental cleaning unless something horrible happened! I reached out to Traverse Mountain after we got him home and realized he could not hear and received a TEXT back saying to watch him for a few weeks -- no one even bothered to call until I requested a call from Dr Weber and that is when they had a different doc call me and let me know Dr Weber was no longer there. They never followed up to see how he was doing or to check in with us after this -- now his whole life is changed -- he is depressed and so very sad! Our hearts are broken for what happened to our pet and that the people we trusted with his care let this happen, shame on you! read more

If you like having the service schedule an appointment for the wrong week. Then when you show having them tell you they will be right with you. Then have you wait outside for over an hour while they do not answer their phone. Then when you finally are able to speak to them having them fail to cancel your appointment and send you a barrage of text messages reminding you to come in...Then, congratulations, you have found your dream vet. read more

I needed to make an appointment for my dog for an eye infection. I contacted my usual vets office and was told they couldn't get her in so I searched for vets close to me and stumbled upon Traverse Mountain Pet Care. They picked up the phone quickly, were polite and interested in helping. They scheduled an appointment for first thing the next morning (it was 5 minutes before closing time when I called). When I needed to cancel and reschedule the appt they were friendly and accommodating. At the actual visit the office was beautiful and clean, the staff was pleasant, the vets were attentive and knowledgeable, addressed the eye issue as well as another concern I hadn't scheduled for, and provided a complimentary service for this problem. I expected the visit to be more expensive than other vets due to the atmosphere and quality of service but they charged the same as I would have paid at my usual vet. I called many places to get quote for a declaw on my daughters cat. This place quoted me the lowest price. So even though it is further away than I wanted, I booked the procedure. As I got phone calls for reminders, each time I would clarify, "so I want to make sure it is the price I quoted" and they would say yes. I was told he would needs tetanus shot but that would only be around $20 more. I said fine. One such call, I was informed he would stay overnight ( the first call said until late in the day) so I got worried it would be more. Again asked and she said, let me make sure. Same price quoted. So the day of the procedure, we got him all checked in then paid.... 100 dollars more than the quote I got several times. At this point, with the cat there and checked in, really we are committed. Asked why we got charged more. She said, with a tetanus shot. We need a doctors exam (I was mislead as they said it would be around 20 more for the shot... no mention of exam), medications for the cat, etc. Why weren't any of this explained to me when I just said "how much to get this done" 3 times. Bait and switch! Had I known all this, I would have chosen a closer place. This place needs to be more up front instead of baiting and switching. read more
