I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience. I put my trust in this shop to restore my car's appearance, but instead I'm forced to deal with additional damages they caused.

I decided to check out Top Finish for a quote and thank God I did because it saved me thousands of dollars! The fix involved repainting of the hood and bumper along with removing over spray from my abysmal DIY work. They got Tesla's tri-coat paint finish down to the tea. It was perfect. I'm now perfectly set for a ceramic coating. Awesome work. Top Finish went beyond what I expected, I was set with a Model 3 rental and got a full exterior and interior detail on top of the work I needed complete (EVEN HARD WATER SPOTS REMOVED), hell, even my mud flaps were fixed! During both recent experiences, the AAA virtual assistant said the technician had arrived, but the technician was nowhere to be found. Only after waiting 15-20 minutes did the technician call to say he was at the location and after confirming the address, he stated both times, "the navigation took me to the back street". I didn't catch the name of the first technician but the recent one was Merschad. I suspect he was the technician in the first poor experience due to the same line being used. On top of wasting time by sitting around not actually servicing peoples cars, the technician charged a $50 labor fee. When calling A&F directly, they claimed that independent vendors had the right to charge fees due to a need of special equipment. The car being serviced is a Honda Accord. What special equipment do you need to change a battery aside from a wrench... Overall I am very disappointed in the low level of professionalism by this technician. Having to wait is understandable. Being forced to wait even longer because the technician wants to sit in his car is inexcusable.

The Mister informed the driver the car had transmission problems. What does the driver do? Instead of using the chains to load the car onto the bed he drives it, or should I say guns it onto the bed and Revved it. The mister told him to be careful. Too late he scratched our tip of our high end after market exhaust. Once we got to the destination he scratched our exhaust AGAIN while unloading it. The driver failed to take the extra time and put wood under our back end to prevent this from happening. The mister asked him to please take his time while unloading. Unfortunately that never happened and our car is now damaged. All the driver could say was "sorry". I feel tow truck drivers need more training while transporting any type of custom car, lowered car, modified car, ect and need to take more pride when touching anybody's car. Take notice and apply preventable measures. Just saying I am sorry is not good enough for me. Drivers need to be accountable. We will be contacting AAA to see what can be done about this situation. I personally do not recommend this company. Not happy.
