WOW! Truly impressed with this location…read more They verified the brake caliper on my girlfriend's vehicle was not truly seized. Downey Car Care Center was going to charge an additional $289.47 for a brake caliper that was not needed and an additional $152.10 for a brake fluid service had we replaced the caliper. While Downey Car Care Center highly recommended the caliper, Alex's Auto Repair stated they did not want us to waste a lot of money if the calipers were not the problem. Truly grateful for Alex's Auto Repair prompt responses and amazing customer service. They verified the caliper did not need to be replaced. They simply lubricated our caliper. We were able to save over $400 and we are grateful. Thank you for your ethics, honesty, and time. It truly makes a difference. (photo on the left is from Alex's auto repair; photo on right is from Downey Car Care Center). So glad we got our brakes and rotors replaced by Alex's Auto Repair. We have not had any issues and we are even granted warranty. Thank you for your integrity!

I have no issues with their workmanship but would never go back due to their dishonesty…read more They said I need to change all four brake pads because they were all at 3mm. I went to another shop and they measured it and showed me that the front brakes were at 3mm but the back brakes were at 7mm and could go another 10k miles. Edit: Due to the gaslighting, I uploaded the picture of the measurements clearly showing what they told me.

I recently had a great experience with Action Auto and wanted to share…read more My Honda CR-Z driver-side door handle mechanism stopped working (apparently a common issue with these cars). I had already purchased an OEM replacement handle from an authorized Honda parts dealer, and initially planned to have the dealership install it. However, the dealership quoted me a very high labor cost and required me to leave my car overnight due to their busy schedule. After doing some research, I found Action Auto in Cypress and spoke with Mark. From the very first phone call, Mark was friendly, professional, and transparent. Best of all, his quote was about half the price of what the dealership wanted to charge. The convenience was a huge bonus. They told me I could bring my car in anytime between 8am-5pm (and even Sundays 8am-3pm). I dropped off my car at 8:30am, and it was ready by lunchtime the same day. On top of that, they even offered a complimentary shuttle ride home--something the dealership no longer provides. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Mark's customer service was outstanding both over the phone and in person. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, and I noticed several repeat customers while I was there, which says a lot about their reputation. Most importantly, my door handle works perfectly now--just like when I first bought the car. I'll definitely be coming back to Action Auto for future repairs. Thank you, Mark, for making this such an easy and positive experience!

Can't say enough good things about Cypress Auto. They are always so friendly and always take care…read moreof the problem no matter what it is. Literally bring your car here for whatever your need is and save yourselves the hassle and headaches that other places cause. This team has help me so much since I've started bringing my car here for maintenance. They have fixed my engine for various issues, fixed tire issues and given me peace of mind every single time. The work is highly quality and never rushed. You and your car are not just another ticket to them, unlike other business. Highly recommend Cypress Auto!!!

This review is well earned by the sales rep Brian at the front desk. Calling Brian's customer…read moreservice one star is generous, to say the least. I came in today to get a quote for a check engine light related to an O2 sensor. Before coming in, I had already priced the part so I could confirm exactly what was needed. Prior to agreeing to the $200 diagnostic, I asked Brian whether any of that fee would be credited toward the repair if I moved forward. He told me that **half** would be credited, meaning $100, which I felt was fair. Based on that, I expected something close to the following: * Diagnostic: $200 ($100 credited) * Labor: $200 (install time is .9 hrs + 1 hr diagnostic) * O2 Sensor: $179 (the same OEM part costs $59.98 at any auto parts store) Brian then quoted me **$579 total**. When I asked about the previously mentioned diagnostic credit, he declined to honor it. I also asked if I could bring in my own part. That's when things really went downhill--and honestly, I wouldn't have posted this review if it weren't for what he said next. In a very belittling tone, Brian responded, *"Do you bring your own lunch to a restaurant?"* He then continued by saying the building costs $10K a month and that they're expensive because they can be. That may be true, but I'll never know--because I would never, under any circumstances, do business with someone who treats customers that way. Thanks for all your "help," Brian.
