Made a call to AAA and specifically asked for a flatbed to tow one of our cars. They dispatched these folks. Estimated arrival time for a flat bed was 1 hour. The Mister informed the driver the car had transmission problems. What does the driver do? Instead of using the chains to load the car onto the bed he drives it, or should I say guns it onto the bed and Revved it. The mister told him to be careful. Too late he scratched our tip of our high end after market exhaust. Once we got to the destination he scratched our exhaust AGAIN while unloading it. The driver failed to take the extra time and put wood under our back end to prevent this from happening. The mister asked him to please take his time while unloading. Unfortunately that never happened and our car is now damaged. All the driver could say was "sorry". I feel tow truck drivers need more training while transporting any type of custom car, lowered car, modified car, ect and need to take more pride when touching anybody's car. Take notice and apply preventable measures. Just saying I am sorry is not good enough for me. Drivers need to be accountable. We will be contacting AAA to see what can be done about this situation. I personally do not recommend this company. Not happy. read more

Amazing service! After calling AAA in Orange, I received towing in under an hour on a Sunday afternoon. The driver took my three year old son and I all the way home in Los Angeles. It was nearly 40 miles in heavy traffic. The driver was punctual, professional, and very helpful in getting my car parked at my house so we could deal with our mechanic on Monday. AAA sent ultimate towing to pick up my car. The driver connected the hooks onto the control arms. And I stood there watching him crank on the winch handle my skin was crawling as I saw the wheels camber out at the top. The owner agreed to pay the amount of repair work. But neglected to send a check. The dealer quoted me a price of $1200 for parts and labor. I did the work my self for $236 for parts and labor. Dec,15,2020 to April 1st 2021 and no check. Without any explanation or reason they just stopped taking our calls even though we had good business with them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Sent by AAA, hopefully I never see them again. If they show up again sent by AAA, I'll send them away and call for a new tow company. Absolutely terrible customer service, after sending me an inept driver who didn't know how to remove the shift lock on my vehicle and told me he couldn't tow my car, he somehow managed to also deliver my car to the destination with a flat tire. From a tow on a flatbed truck. Someone tell me how that's possible? Oh, did I mention that the driver was on the phone the whole time being coached on how to do his job? Yea. When I called that same night to report, I was assured someone would call me back to discuss. Two days later and no call, so I took it upon myself to call. First, I was hung up on before even introducing myself. Then, I was told he didn't know what I wanted since I was able to go get the tire fixed on my own. I was also told that the tires on my car weren't even worth the price of the tow, and he said I shouldn't be complaining. What a jerk! I never even told him my name (didn't let me) and yet somehow, he knew exactly the situation. I have already reported them to AAA but the office didn't seem to care about the fact that they damaged my car. Offered no solution, offered no apology. If they show up to tow your car, send them away and wait for someone else. Seriously. Or else you'll have more problems than you started with. read more

I was broke down on the 91 at about 3:30. Called AAA and Ultimate Towing said they would get me at 5:30. Fair enough its a Friday, I'm heading with traffic so I have no choice to wait. Come 6:00 my driver (who was named rob, Ricardo, something starting with r) says he 'll be there in 20 min. At 6:20 I call him again and he says he will be there in 6 minutes. At 7, I call again,and he says he's getting gas and he will be there in 20 more minutes. Finally at about 7:30 I call him,and he claims he's quitting but he's going to get me "out of kindness" yet he never tried to,call me. I always had to reach out to him,and every time he sounded like,he did,not know where he was. I tried calling the office but after being on hold they told me they had no one available to get me. This is 4 hours after they got the cal from AAA to,come get me. I wish they had 0 Stars. This tow company is VERY irresponsible, and the telephone operator sits on a high horse and tells the CUSTOMER that s/he is wrong, even when the tow company is at fault. We set up a time to tow my car between 10am and 10:30am Saturday morning. I get a call at 9:30am from the towing guy saying that he's been waiting a while and can't wait any longer so he must go. W . T . F . ? I'm sorry but I do NOT have telepathy, NOR any other powers to read your mind. Are you kidding me? We set up the appointment for time X and you arrive at time Z and tell me I'm at fault? The reason this is such a problem is that the car was left at the road at night, since i couldn't drive home. Now the car is being towed without me, and I have to take a taxi for the 20+ mile trip. When I tried explaining my dilema to the operator (Amber), this is what she said, and I quote: "Sir, sir, sir, please stop being NASTY to me and I will try to explain things to you and talk to SAFECO to get reimbursement for the taxi" I'm sorry, you said "NASTY"? W.T.F? I did NOT swear, I merely pointed out the fact that A) The time that was set was X B) I cannot read peopl'es minds hence I cannot arrive 1 hour prior to our appointment time. AVOID ULTIMATE TOWING AND RECOVERY!!!!!!! My brakes went out on My 1968 California Special Mustang in March 2017. I called AAA to get a tow and they sent me these clowns. They arrived on time and placed my Classic car back end first onto the flat bed. I tipped the guy well and told him to please take care of it. My wife was going to receive the car at the house because i had a friend pick me up to finish an errand. The tow truck driver arrived at the house and unloaded my classic Mustang in our driveway. At the time, my neighbor was watching them and saw the driver tilt the bed at a steep angle while unloading my car. He noticed that the straps were tight under the rear valance and was damaging my vehicle. He told my wife but my wife didn't understand what a rear valance was or is. She forgot to notify me and the tow truck driver took off without even telling her or even notifying me. A few weeks later i started working on the brakes and noticed the damage to my rear valance. Any car enthusiast knows any new ding, scratch or damage to their vehicle. That was new to me so i got very upset. Trying to figure out what happened, my wife finally told me that the neighbor told her that the tow truck driver did something to my car. I asked the neighbor and sure enough he told me the story with the Ultimate Towing driver. I called AAA to file a damage complaint, they then notified me to call Ultimate towing. I then called them and was greeted with a rude female. I told her what happened and she gave me a hard time about the damages. After briefly arguing with her, she said they would look into it. Left them my name and number waiting for a call. I talked to AAA again and they basically told me i have to deal with it through Ultimate towing. I left a few messages for Ultimate towing and they finally got back to me a few months later. They asked me to send them pictures, i did and was waiting for a reply. 3 Months later, no reply or apology. I'm done putting in effort. Seeing other reviews, i can see they are incompetent at they're job. If you "have" to use them, keep a close eye on them! read more

Man Victorino was so helpful. Long story short my vehicle got hit from behind last night and I was trying to understand what my options were and my best course of action. Didn't know if I should get it towed to my house or a repair shop but the repair shops all didn't have a night drop ... I was in a bind. Victorino explained some options and they we kind enough to allow me to tow it at their yard that's a secured location until an insurance claim rep is able to asses the incident which will be between mon-Thur of next week. Had these guys tow my collector car a 1974 alfa romeo gtv. The car was my baby. I called aaa to arrange the tow through my membership with them. The driver arrived on time and picked the car up. Well....... the next day i called my mechanic to discover the car was totally destroyed. I never recieved a call from the driver or the company about the fact that my car was dropped off their truck. The car is now bent in half and completly destroyed. The engine is also heavily damaged. The crash was so hard the glovebox came loose. The company has not apoligized, the owner of the company refuses to take my calls. And the company has refuses to provide me with last names for the driver and owner. The driver milton and the owner jose you should both be ashamed of your behaviour. It is inhuman and you have no compassion or empathy. Everyone should avoid them as well as be very careful with aaa as they refuse any responsibilty as well. read more

My car's battery was out on Dec 29, 2015. AAA battery service sent Steven from Ultimate Towing & Recovery within exact 20 minutes. Steven was able to make the car start by a jump-start. Then he went further to test the charging system when I told him I've heard whining sound when the car first started for the last couple days. He tested and found out the alternator did not charge the battery. Upon the finding, I wanted to have the alternator replaced but wondered if I the battery is keeping charged enough so I can drive to the nearest mechanic shop couple blocks away. Steven promptly provided solution that I drive my car and he follows. If my the battery is out and the car stops along the way, he will jump-start it. Luckily I was able to get to the shop with no problem with Steven followed up to the shop's yard. I appreciate Steven's great help. He performed great service, not a normal job. Thank you. read more

I called AAA at 3:08pm to have my car towed to an auto shop and was told a driver would get to me around 4:15 - okay cool. 4:30 comes and I still have not received any updates on the driver, so I called AAA and they told me that the driver had caught a flat on his truck (that would've been nice to know) and would get to me around 4:55.... NOW, it's 5:30 and I called AAA again and they told me they would have the driver give me a call. This guy calls me and says he's still waiting to get air in his tire - UNBELIEVABLE. So I ask "about what time do you think you will get to me" he asks "where are you located?" ... I'm confused at this point... Because don't you have my address dude. Okay so now he got his thoughts together and says "oh yea I got it right here, I should be there in 25minutes" okay so I wait AGAIN. Its 6:15pm and I recieved a message saying the driver has arrived, yet there's no one to be found... I call AAA AGAIN and 15min later he pulls up. Dude gets to my car and mind you I mentioned to AAA the car does not start. The driver has this information in his notes and asks me if had any jumper cables. This is where I lost it. Wouldn't it be crazy if you waited over an hour for your service to arrive and when he does..he decides the service isn't worth his time and leaves you stranded? Sounds almost unbelievable but this ACTUALLY HAPPENED to me this afternoon. The tow driver had the lamest excuse: "I'm afraid to tow because of the people in this area" "I don't know how to put it in Neutral" So he hopped his pathetic self in his truck and drove off. Stunned and frustrated..I called the office. The front desk, David, had an even lamer excuse: "he left because he doesn't speak English""what were your actions with the driver" What the actual.... so wait back up. You knew that he just left me and this is your response!! Language is IRRELEVANT when it comes to decency and respect. So if you feel lucky and want to roll the dice. Late to pick up car 30 minutes but that is not what I am upset about. Driver somehow beat me home 80 miles away even though I was going 75 plus no stops home but he then proceeds to drive the car over my decorative rocks in my yard park it as close as possible to my brand new 45k Dodge Challenger and then door ding the passenger door with the driver door of the towed vehicle. Then he threw the keys under the mat of the towed vehicle and didn't bother to wait even though someone is supposed to be here to receive the towed vehicle. I am speechless right now. So this is my first positive review I give on Yelp and for good reason (I really should do this more though!). I was in the orange county area 9/8/11 the day San Diego had the power outage, well my car over heated and was stranded. I called AAA but they were taking about 2 hrs cause traffic from power outage in SD.. I decided to give Ultimate towing a chance after finding out their hook up fee was only 50 dollars and since i was going a few miles he charged me flat rate of 60 and was there in less then 15 mins!!! Jose, the owner of Ultimate towing recommended an honest mechanic shop and hung out with me till they took my car in. He also gave me a ride to a near by restaurant/ bar to watch the NFL football game while my car was being worked on. That's good service folks!! read more

Unbelievable excellent service! Our car broke down in Tustin, California on our way home to San Diego late Saturday night. I expected to wait for forty-five minutes for the tow truck to arrive but it was there within fifteen minutes! The driver Kevin was very professional, clean, polite, and knew his trade very well. He loaded the car with care and ease. He allowed us to ride in the truck which was "immaculately" clean. The almost three hour trip to San Diego was so comfortable we did not feel we were riding a two truck. We did not notice the time pass by. He was a safe driver. And their charge was very reasonable! Just had my car towed and had a good experience with these guys I called asked for some quotes they are a little more pricey then other places but they where quick to respond even though the dispatcher sounded half asleep and the yelp discount helped they charged me 60 bucks and 5 a mile ended up being around 100 bucks ouch! but they took great care of my car and the driver was friendly and helpful tried to jump my car first and when that didn't work he quickly hitched my car and we where on the way over all a good experience I would rather pay for someone who will take the time and try to help then look for a cheaper less experienced company read more
