** SORRY FOR BEING RUDE, BUT UNHAPPY WITH UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR*** First time here at friends recommendation. Food was good but we were told to leave and eat outside as my mother just took few bites from my food as she was not hungry and was new to canadian taste. Not happy at all with what the manager/lead at site told. They provided the container and advised us to eat outside. It is not a buffet nor we are allowed to refill or something. What is the point to eat inside or outside the resturant. The manager literally came and refused and told to eat out as they will not allow my mother to take few bites. I paid the amount, it's on me if I need to share with 1 or 100 people. I paid for the food and portion can't go beyond what it can hold. UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND ATTITUDE OF WORKERS. read more

I liked the experience but I left hungry at a all you can eat and if you don't get extra sauce it will be pretty dry I put so much already but once they grill it it looses all its moisture and I didn't like the fact that you only get one bowl you should be able to at least go back twice ... Took the wife out for a long over due night out so called and asked if they still got your food for you or did we get it I was told it was back to normal but there was no soup or salad bar and that the price was 18.99 all you can eat but when we got there it was 18.99 plus 5.99 for all you can eat then the extras you can add at the grill like eggs and other stuff you are only allowed 2 things what the hell is wrong with these people jacking the prices up and taking food away never will go back. read more

Oh goodness... if you like Mongolian style restaurants, this one is a gem! While it is part of a very small chain found in a couple of provinces and states, it is well worth visiting. The employees seem happy to be there and seem to have fun doing their jobs. The service I've received here on two separate visits while visiting Thunder Bay was impeccable. If you've never visited the restaurant tell your server and you'll get a tour so that you can completely understand all the ins and outs of dining here and all the many options that you can have for your meals. There are a lot of options and sides to choose from. I love the fact that they offer all you can eat options, single bowl options, a salad bar add on (or salad bar alone) and many sides. The staff who cook your food have a lot of fun while doing it and make it a bit of a show. If you have allergies let the staff know and they'll do their best to clean the grill and prevent cross contamination. There are many different seating areas including regular tables and booths. There are child menu options and a number of different meat and veggie options. I've been here with folks who feel strongly about not having seafood or meat in their meals and there were lots of options. Even vegan people can eat here without issues. Gluten free recipe suggestions are also available for sauces etc. All in all this was a great experience and I never left hungry. I wish that this particular Mongolian style restaurant were available nearer my home as I'd definitely eat at a place like this more often. read more

Had a very poor experience. My girlfriend and I went during the super hour. There were only 5 people in the entire place but we didn't receive our drinks till we were almost finished with our meal. While there a server spilled an entire tray of drinks into the baby car seat of the family sitting next to us. While getting our food the cook asked my girlfriend if she would like her rice on the side or mixed in with her stirfry. She asked for it on the side but the cook mixed it in with the stir fry. Food is good but don't care about customer. I had leftovers, as I couldn't eat it all (ordered the one bowl option), and as usual, I asked for a Togo box. They brought one for me and my daughter. Hers fit fine, but I had more than what would normally fit in the box, so I asked for a second one. To my surprise, they would not allow it. I asked to speak with manager and he also would not budge. So, while they claim it is against policy, I guess they would rather not budge and waste the food plus lose a customer forever (I will NEVER go back) than provide another contAiner. Keep in mind they are small containers. Previous times being there, one container was enough. So, in the end, squeezed what I could in the one I had and will never go back. I love Mongolian BBQ and normally have it 1-2 times per week. Now, I will just either find an alternative or not have Mongolian at all. read more

I'd never been to Mongo's before and didn't know what to expect. It took me a good 10 minutes to put my bowl together but stacking my food was an experience in itself. There's also something genuinely unique when it comes to watching a chef cook what you've put together, especially when the employees seem to enjoy their work.
