The system in place does not work well for the price $50 for gel pedicure absolutely my second trip I had to ask her to to work on the skin. I am unable to do my own. I would much rather pay for a pedicure than the $50 co-pay to go to a podiatrist. I'm truly disappointed because I the boutique nail is a little cramped and you do have climb stairs don't arrive early because the chair outside the door is very uncomfortable to sit in! on the first floor they're very friendly they greet you as you come in not connected with the nail salon ! I love to shop small I patronize small businesses as much as humanly possible and avoid the big boxes and the the women that talk about their native tongue. I'm not about to go somewhere and use a translator to know what they're saying that's a terrible practice.

I went in asking for cat eye manicure (will insert photos of what I asked for vs what I was given), and was told that they didn't do cat eye gel and that they only do glitter top coats. I didn't want to do a glitter top coat so I opted for a gel. Whenever I chose my gel, I looked up at the polishes they had behind their stations on the shelves and seen the plaque that had cat eye gels on it to choose from. I mentioned it to the tech, and she grabbed it and I chose a color from it because I felt like her telling me she didn't have the colors felt like she didn't want to do it so I just opted for one. While she applied the polish, I felt like she was upset, and didn't have any conversation with me and it was done very quickly. When she used the magnet to give the cat eye shape, there was nothing basically done and it looks sloppy. The only reason I'm giving a 2 star is because they seen me faster than my appointment, but I'm not sure it even deserves that. 0/10 recommend for girls that want simple nails with no acrylic. Feels like they don't want you there.

Everybody was trying to get in! Took to Yelp and found Puyallup Nails and got someone to answer, and she had an appointment same day. Score! Puyallup Nails is located on the outskirts of downtown Puyallup and very easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled! There's street parking right outside of the shop which I was lucky enough to snag. The shop is really small and there was only one woman working. Definitely a cozier space than I'm used to, but it was great for a fill! Service was great and Kim was really friendly and made lots of conversation during my appointment. My nails turned out great and she saved me from the ick feeling of having overgrown nails. I'll definitely keep Puyallup Nails as an option in my book for future appointments.

The shop itself is super clean and you can tell it's very well maintained. We were greeted at the door and everyone was incredibly warm and inviting. We both got pedicures but my mom opted to add on a manicure as well. My mom's nail tech (for the pedi) did an absolutely amazing job and took her time making her comfortable from start to finish. As for the manicure, the woman did it simultaneously with her pedicure and that was probably not the best idea . She was on her phone for half of it and didn't even touch her cuticles. To finish, the paint was awful. My pedicure was also super mid which is fine, but the paint was also bad. Thankfully everyone was really friendly and the one pedicure outweighed all else. I regret not getting the name of the nail tech that did my mom's pedicure because she is the real MVP here.

During my appointment I noticed the nail tips weren't placed correctly on my natural nails and mentioned it to the technician. Instead of properly fixing the placement or explaining anything, she said she would fix it but just layered acrylic over the top. I was charged $90 for my set and it has already started lifting and it hasn't even been 6 days. For that price, I expected much better quality and nails that would last longer. I do like the design they did, but the customer service and durability of the nails didn't match the price.
