Decent pizza but too expensive. Prices are on the rise all over the country and Monical's is no exception. About $70 for a family of 5 to get 1 breadstick each and 2 pizzas, water to drink. The breadsticks were pretty plain but the nacho cheese was good. We got a thin crust and "pan" pizza. First, the toppings were good. They didn't skimp and that made me feel a little better about the price. Second, the thin crust tasted like it didn't have any sauce. It wasn't bad just plain. The thicker (more expensive) pan didn't taste like Pizza Hut or Chicago's pan... just a thicker, tastier pizza with more sauce. Worth the upgrade if you decide to dine here. Overall the breadsticks and thin pizza were just ok, the pan was pretty good, but just not worth the cost. read more

We went to Monical's because we were not happy with Pizza King at al. We had a thin crust three topping pizza. I don't if the forgot the sauce or it's always that little, but it was more like a cracker with toppings. Just not pleased at all. On the upside, we had Lasagna a while back, it was quite good and we had an Alfredo baked lasagna that was decent as well. I doubt we try pizza again. read more

Took 19 minutes to take our drink orders, all waters. Took another 10 minutes to get the water served to us. Unacceptable. Have not even ordered yet. It's a Wednesday and not overly busy. Took our thin crust bbq pizza another 25 minutes to reach our table, and it was not even hot. It was warmish. It tasted OK, a little skimpy on the chicken. Tried to have a birthday party for my nephew here and was met with almost immediate friction when our party arrived. We reserved the party room and couldn't even put the tables together for our party of twenty people. None of the serving staff were wearing masks or gloves on both hands, which made their COVID regulation irrelevant. Although the food was adequate, the service made it less than worth the meal. The server/manager told our entire party that the pay "sucked" when someone asked, and that she was "sad and depressed" more than once during the service. The four beer per person limit was also ridiculous and the manager who served them to us opened them with her shirt. 3/10 but only because the food was edible. As a purveyor of fine pizza places, I can assure you that this would be a deplorable visit if you come here. read more

My husband and I went to Monical's in Greencastle, Indiana for dinner a couple nights ago. I ordered spaghetti & meatballs. The waitress returned shortly and told me that there had been a family in earlier and ordered the last of the spaghetti. It would be 20 minutes to prepare some more. I said we would wait because that was what I wanted. You would think that they would continue cooking spaghetti. It was early, 5:30. In approximately 20 minutes we got our order. The meatballs were so compacted that I couldn't cut them. We weren't given any knives. The spaghetti wasn't good. No flavor even with marinara sauce. Bread sticks were terrible. The service in this location is simply terrible. the last two times that we have ordered take out it has been well over 20 minutes later than promised. When the restaurant is nearly empty and they can't do any better than this they really need to get better help. Lots better pizza out there with better service. read more

Demanded to know just how many of us were coming as he had only had reservation for 30 and demanded that we fill all empty spaces in one cluster of tables so he could fit additional patrons in the room. (none were waiting). His attitude was so rude, someone commented that we could just go somewhere else and he said you certainly can! So we did. My family loves the pizza and the atmosphere is very good. It's a tad pricey, but no so much that we don't go with some regularity.

I love Monical's Pizza . My friend and I love their Taco Pizza. I love the staff they remember us and say there is the Taco ladies. They are very friendly and can't believe they were rude to those people. It doesn't sound like the staff we know. we had a small party in the back room and could not have been treated any better. On October 04, 2013 I was hosting a National Seminar in Putnam County Indiana for Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement Teams from Across America and Switzerland. I called ahead and asked if they could accommodate 30 people and the evening manager advised me that he had no one in the back and that we could use it. Upon arriving and entering the Monicals Pizza in Greencastle, Indiana and after being seated the evening manager came into the room with his hands on his hips and in a very insolent tone raised his voice and said "YOU PEOPLE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SCRUNCH TOGETHER SO I HAVE SOME EMPTY TABLES" I tried to explain to him that we had more people arriving and we would fill the seats. He then got even louder and said " I DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL OF THAT, YOU NEED TO SCRUNCH TOGETHER" One of the visiting team members said maybe we should go somewhere else and the manager became angry and in a loud, insolent, tyrannical and very disrespectful tone said "GOOD, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I have traveled this Country and dined is hundreds of restaurants and have never been treated as disrespectful as we were on October 04, 2013 at Monicals Pizza in Greencastle, Indiana. I was embarrassed in my own community by this so called managers behavior. We left and went to Pizza Hut and were treated a much more welcoming manner. I apologized for our community as I was truly ashamed of the way this so called manager treated these patrons who were visiting our community. Everywhere that these Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement Teams trained in Putnam County in the last week, these teams were treated with dignity and respect by community leaders and the residents of Putnam County. We ended our National Seminar with outstanding reviews. These teams we from across America so the chances of them traveling to Greencastle to eat at Monicals Pizza would be small, so maybe that is why he acted like he did. But I assure you. Monicals Pizza in Greencastle will no longer be a part of our plans for visiting teams, or local teams that we instruct. read more
