7/12/25 Aurora, CO: So glad I called a Handyman instead of an electrician! I have a few…read moreelectricians I've used before, so I had a few to choose from when my light fell down a couple days ago. But they usually can't fit me in for a week or two. Plus, if all went well with the light, I had a few more items I wanted to discuss, and they would require a Handyman. So I called Tim (Artsem is his full name, in case you've seen that in other reviews), he picked up first call, I explained about the light, and I asked how soon he could come? I said "Can you come tomorrow?" Now I don't know if he usually works on Saturday, but he said "Sure, how about 9 - 10am?" Worked great for me! So I showed him the light, thinking he would have to get into the attic to get "above" the fixture to replace the cup-thing it screws into, but he said no, everything is done down below. So he ran to Home Depot to get the correct cup thing, and knowing he was heading to HD anyway, I said "See this rusted vent? I tried to unscrew it and change it myself, but it's caulked on tight. Can you replace that?" "Sure!" (Add $10 to my bill. I'm happy with that!!) So I showed him another vent in the basement, and he did that one also. While we were at it, I asked him to put some wall anchors on a tall set of cabinets in the garage, and anchor it to the wall so that it never tips over. And I showed him where a hook on the garage wall fell down because I hung too many folding chairs on it. He picked up some extra long screws at Home Depot, and took care of that too. In addition, I thought that my ceiling fan wasn't working, and had him look at it. He found the problem quickly, and it's working again! Same thing with a lightbulb in the basement subfloor that wasn't working, he got it working again. So I am super happy to have found Tim, and I will 100% for sure be using him again very soon, because I have lots more on my Honey-Do list. Someone asked in the Questions section how much he charges: I believe his minimum fee may be $100. But it seemed that each little thing that I asked him to do (like replace the vents, anchor the cabinet to the wall, re-hang the hook in the garage), he priced at $10 each. I believe he said he charges either "$60 per hour, or a flat rate", like when my fixture fell down, he asked me to send pictures, I did, and he texted me a flat rate without seeing it in person, and I loved his price and said yes. For small items that are quick, like 10 minutes, would be about $10. (He does add on the Home Depot price of whatever he has to buy to do it, so $16 for each of my vents. Therefore, $16 + $10 = $26. Can't beat that! So be sure and find a few items that need fixing, and call for it all to be done in one trip. I was 10/10 pleased with his pricing, I felt his prices are low, but his ability and expertise is high!! Anyway, if you live in Denver, I would call Tim, and if it is something he has done before and knows how to do, I bet you are going to be super happy like I am!! Thanks, Tim!

Update on 7/1/2020: We bought 2 Elfa closet systems from The Container Store, and again retained…read moreWade Services for the install. Not only was he extremely experienced and efficient with the installation of this particular system, he charged us approximately $350 less than it would have cost us to go through one of the retailer's contractors. We are now able to realize much more usable space than before. Next job already scheduled for the hanging of a new barn door for the walk-in closet! With a new bike on the way, I found it was going to be quite a challenge storing it in our relatively small garage. I barely had enough room to squeeze the car in with just one bike, so purchased a ceiling hanging system. After the system arrived, I hired Wade Services to do the job. Upon arrival, he suggested an alternative solution that would allow for easier access to the bike. I went with his idea and was quite pleased with the results. Where there was once clutter and barely enough room for one bike, I now am able now able to fit two bikes (old bike pictured - new one will be placed where the tires are), store my ladders and camping tables, and still effortlessly park my full-sized SUV. He also offered other improvement ideas, which I will have installed at a later date. He also suggested new layout ideas for two of our closets. We also plan to have him install those as well! Great work at a reasonable price! Thanks again, Robert! Jimmy H

My husband & I discovered a mouse living in our home when the weather started to become cool last…read morefall. We easily caught it using a humane trap and re-located it yet in a few days, another little mouse appeared in the house. Again, we humanely caught and re-located the new mouse, only to have this routine go on and ON. We thought we were very savvy, looking at every possible point of entry: stuffing copper wire meshing in all suspicious little holes surrounding our foundation & even put stucco in a few bigger openings. However, one at a time, mice kept sneaking into our home! We found Steve & his company Elite Animal Control on an internet search and reached out to him. Within one day, he came over, spent a great deal of time really inspecting & investigating all possible openings. He took his time (and expertise) to eliminate ALL imaginable entrances. However, another little mouse was seen and again we humanely caught/re-located it and then called Steve. THIS situation kept us on our toes for a few weeks...Steve came back a few times and with each visit he discovered a different opening until-NO MORE MICE!!! Steve is, first of all, a VERY thoughtful, intelligent, clever and caring man! We could tell he was SO experienced in the business of thinking like a mouse! AND! He NEVER advocated for harming the mice-yet he did share he has had some jobs which required many means of rodent removal. He has a construction background and clearly understands how foundations, walls, insulation, ducts, plumbing, floors, etc all fit together AND could be ideal places for mice to march in & live. We learned SOOO much from Steve (& we thought we knew a lot!). We HIGHLY recommend Steve & Elite Animal Control to help you with ANY critter-issue you encounter. He is kind, knowledgeable, caring and REALLY knows how to solve animal control issues!
