Took my daughter here for her 1st birthday and all our guests had a fun time! We even stayed 2 hours after our room rental which was unexpected. I used to really like this place but in the last few months it has become out of control. I used to like the fact that you could come at anytime, which is where this place differs from Pump It Up. Now, it's like everyone in Loudoun County with kids is at this place on any given weekend. This place need to consider having a maximum number of kids at a time. The last time I went there were so many kids on each of the bounce houses that they couldn't hold the air. Kids were crawling all over each other and it wasn't fun at all. The parents there mostly seem to sit in the lounge area and not even pay attention to their kids. My two 4 year olds ended up playing in the toddler area the majority of the time because it was too crazy. I have 4 visits left on my punch card - I won't be back to use them. I brought my 20 month old there, despite it being a 45 min drive from Woodbridge I've always wanted to see what one of these "indoor playgrounds" were like. This one was not only cheaper, but it was open (many other places were closed to the public for private parties). We went on a Saturday afternoon, which is most likely one of the busiest times. It was a little chaotic, due to a few birthday parties, but the crowdedness no way inhibited the experience. $7 dollars was all we paid for 3 hours of one of the best times my little one has had in her short life. This place has 6 big bouncy castles/slides and a separate playroom where only 3 yr olds and younger are allowed. It is more than enough to keep a little one busy for awhile. I would recommend ages 2-4. The staff was very friendly, attentive and as thorough as they could have been in their attempts to herd the many children through the bouncy structures in a safe manner. Some of the kids clearly had ADD and were trying my own patience. The facilities and restrooms were clean. If you are looking for somewhere very affordable to bring your little one, I highly recommend this place. It was so much fun seeing my daughter so excited as she negotiated the various bouncy structures. She fell asleep in my arms on the way out because she was so exhausted from all of the climbing and bouncing. If you dont have the required socks, no worries. They sell them at the counter for $2 a pair. Overall, HIGHLY recommended based on affordability and fun factor. read more

Pretty out-of-the-way for us and I wondered why this wouldn't be more central, but oh well. It is a fine alternative to Chucks and has enough bounce to keep kids interested, for a solid hour. Price is decent, but you'll want probably at least 2-hours to feel you receive the bang for your buck. Free internet is fast and appreciated. About 15 arcade style games from candy grabber, water shooter, soccer scoring, and racing. Watch out though, this isn't Chucks and most games are 3+ tokens. I like how clean it is and how well its managed. The have very large space so it never really feels congested with kids running into each other. My nephew loves it! There are also several tables and chairs off to the side for adults: either to mingle, work on the laptop (free wifi), or even have a snack. GREAT PLACE! The key however, is to go on off days or early on Sundays it can get REALLY busy! That's to be expected my kid (all kids) love this place. The staff for the most part are involved and do care about the kids. I've gone enough times that several of the staff know my daughter and make a point to say hi to her. There are a few employees that don't really pay attention (maybe 1 out of 10) but the rest of them are very involved with the kids. One was quizzing them before they would go on a slide, math, or some sort of question that the kids thought was really cool. I mentioned it to the manager and she said that the employee just started doing that on her own. Again great place, thoughtful staff, and my kid loves it. My kids love Monkey Joes and always have a great time. I like it because we can come in and stay as long as we want not like other places that cost the same amount of money for 2 hours. The staff has always been polite and helpful. The manager Karen is always out and about working along everyone else, not one sitting in an office who you never see. When I told her my children didn't like the new pizza she was very apologetic told me to tell the person taking the order no garlic and less sauce and gave us a coupon to try it again. We just had my son's 3rd birthday party there on Saturday (10/21). I don't know where to begin on explaining how AMAZING this place was!! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left!! Our guests were so happy and had an awesome time there. The person who helped us (I believe his name was William) was great!!! I didn't have to do a single thing! He asked us when and how we wanted things and did it to our liking. He was very attentive and served every single guest and any questions I had he had an answer! We will definitely be using this place for future birthday parties!! My husband loved it as well that he wants to take our kids there just for a day of fun. This place is not good for little babies who don't jump on the inflatables or even walk around for that matter. While they do have a nice l play area for babies they require socks to be worn even on babies that don't walk yet, which as mothers of crawling babies know will make it hard for the baby to crawl on the slippery surfaces. read more

My 2.5 year old year old daughter loves this place! The staff is always very accommodating, the facilities are very clean, and best of all is 'pay your age' on Thursdays (pay the age of your child for admission- 2 years old is $2, etc). I also appreciate that there is an age limit here (12 years old) so you can let a toddler or younger child roam about. The under 3 area is super cute and my daughter likes going in there to play with the padded blocks and tossing them about. If your child is smaller, then you can also go on the bouncy playgrounds to help them along- which is great. They also have an app that you can download- for first time customers, you can get a free admission for downloading the app (it's available for a limited time once you download) and from thereafter, you can scan your receipt for added points. I found this place a little dirty. I took my 15 month old daughter and although they have an area for shoes, I saw many adults wearing their shows inside the toddler area. I asked an employee and apparently they do allow shoes for adults. It's not very sanitary for adults to wear shoes especially inside the toddler area where little babies are crawling and their hands touch the floor. Adults wear their shoes in restrooms and dirty places. A big suggestion to Monkey Joe' to not let adult wear shoes around the toddler play area please. Because of my photography experience at Monkey Joe's, I was inspired to write this review. As a father of a 5 year old, I've had the opportunity to visit many venues for children's birthday parties and have frequently been disappointed by the quality of the photos that I was able to get. While many venues are kid friendly and full of entertainment, they can be far from photo-friendly. Dimly lit play areas, party areas with giant windows that backlight the scene and colorcast from strange paint schemes are just a few of the things we have to contend with. It seems that, in many of these places, no thought has been given to creating an atmosphere that will allow for great pictures. However, Monkey Joe's did not disappoint in this area. In the bounce (action) area, the ceiling is too high for useful bounce flash. However, that really doesn't seem to matter. The area is well lit and you shouldn't have to go far beyond ISO 1600 at 5.6 or less to achieve a stop motion shutter speed. The party room is also well lit and there are no giant windows and backlighting to contend with. However, flash is helpful and the ceiling is just within reach to achieve a nice bounce flash. The birthday honoree will likely sit in an inflatable chair and some flash reflections may be annoying, so watch out and try to keep the flash power down to a minimum. That's not a tall order given the available light and it's much better to bump up the ISO than have a picture of your flash bouncing off of that chair. On camera direct-flash users should definitely opt for a higher ISO and lower flash power here. The room is brightly painted, mostly orange, and some minor colorcast may result. However, with correct white balance, the pictures should look warm and natural. If not, a few small color treatment tweaks and it will all be gone. My only real criticism is the Monkey Joe character design; he is so tall, which makes it difficult to zoom in for the kids expressions without chopping off parts of Joe. I suggest they re-think the costume height or better yet just teach Monkey Joe some poses that are more portrait friendly - by height I mean. His interactions with the kids were entertaining and appropriate. I also noted that Monkey Joe was very attentive to the cameras, aware of each photo moment, gave ample time and didn't move on without acknowledgement. Just as importantly, Monkey Joe's helper/guide did an outstanding job of not photo bombing the pictures. In summary; you should be able to get great pictures from your Monkey Joe's party with any good camera and you and your guests may even be happy with some of the cell phone pictures. Speaking to other children's birthday party places; I say, take a look at Monkey Joe's. It's a necessity that our kids are entertained and have fun at the birthday party, but we also want great pictures to remember the occasion. read more

This place is great for little kids, maybe up to 6, but they say it's for up to 12 year olds, which it is not. There are 3 or 4 moonbounces. That's it. And of course there are games that cost extra, which kids will surely beg to play because they get bored here so quickly. read more

the jumps are average, the games are fun...but i find the VR to be a little out of place. i understand you're trying to connect with kids and adults of all ages...but it just seems out of place and a little in your face. i would like to see more of the money you guys make put into better/nicer jumps and better arcade games! but i would bring my child back! read more

The place is relatively big but my kids didn't seem very entertained since it's just a bunch of jumping materials which eventually gets boring and they aren't really into arcade games. Very disturbing behavior from staff as they described my daughters friends and I as annoying crazy hyper and dumb. Even after we had paid and had a party they still told them that it didn't look like they should have been jumping and saying they didn't look like they were 12 years old. The staff often told the children to get out of the moon bounces even though they had wristbands. The lady who was giving prizes said my children didn't have anymore tickets even though they did. If there was an option to give no stars I defiantly would have. Very horrible experience. Very rude staff. read more

I took my 13 month old daughter today for their $1 Friday admission. This was our first visit. We strictly stayed in the "under 3" play area where all of the mats and younger entertainment is. I was extremely disappointed that the rest of the facility seemed to be buzzing with staff supervising the bounce areas. In the area we were in the entire time we were there had as many as 5 children who were around ages 6-9 years old in the area running, jumping, and diving. My daughter and other smaller infants/toddlers in the area were getting pushed down and forced out of the way. Many of the children weren't supervised by parents. I went to the front desk to ask for a staff member to supervise. They sent someone over who excused the older kids and then walked away and left. The minute the staff member left, the older kids came right back in. At one point another staff member walked over, peered in to observe older kids in the area, and walked back to the bounce area. I understand that it was busy and that I only paid $1 to get in, however safety should be a concern for all visiting members of the facility. Not just those in the bounce areas. Very disappointing. read more
