Not a bad place to take little ones for the price. Took my 2 year old today (Sunday) and only cost $6.50 for her entrance and adults are free. You sign the waiver when you walk in, they give you the bracelets for child and adults and then you pay. We spent about a little over an hour in here, lots of bouncy houses, a few play areas for the littles ones. They have a few games and a small arcade room. It's a little dingy in there, nerds were on the floor in one of the bouncy houses, along with a little bottled water, and socks here and there. It's like they didn't do a thorough cleanup from the day before. They have a limited food menu (hot dogs and nachos) and their pizza is ordered from outside. Everything about this Monkey Joe's on Westheimer can be improved. It is filthy! Half the machines do not work. The front desk guy and the young lady were so annoyed when we walked in and when we would ask for help. The lady actually rolled her eyes at ny husband when he asked her for help to get the prizes with tickets won. There was so much trash on the carpet and under the games and bounce houses. The bathrooms were all unkempt. They smelled awful. We will all be taking a long shower to take the filth off. I'm really conflicted about this place. On the one hand, my kids (5 and 3) had a fun time. On the other hand my adult overwhelming perspective is that it's not well-maintained and very dingy. We were here at 10am (opening) for a birthday party, and I was honestly shocked at how dirty things were at open. To me, that's a good sign that whatever cleaning is done at night and before opening isn't adequate, since there were literally 5 minutes between opening and when we arrived. Especially the bathrooms- they felt like gas station bathrooms at a small town gas station, not at all filling me with faith that these are even reasonably cleaned on a regular basis. It grossed me out that the eating areas and party rooms are carpeted, especially since at our party multiple kids spilled juice and pizza onto the floor. Yuck! At best that gets vacuumed, I doubt they even wet vac the carpets in here. There are about 4 larger inflatables for bigger kids, and 3 for younger kids with a dedicated soft play area for kids under 3. Sprinkled throughout are arcade games and prize machines, about 30% which weren't working. Looked like most games had at least $1/play, which I find outrageously expensive but about on par with other places. The inflatables themselves looked worn, with lots of visible wear and tear and stains. I think if this place spent some time and money updating the paint and floors, and really cleaning it would be much nicer. Now I haven't been since my God son birthday few years back and at that time Genesis was a newborn so we didn't stay long. However, this place is a damn trap house! $400 on a kids party here and no ma'am! Soon as we walked in my husband said this place looks a little hood. We go check in and head towards the party room that was not setup. The walls got paint chipping everywhere and it's no AC! so imagine the party room feeling like 100 degrees! I mean literally hot! Most people if you know me, you know. I'm send emails to corporate, managers and I complain when stuff unacceptable. But yesterday was about Genesis. My husband was even like wthelly! All the bounce house mats look like they aint been changed in years. The carpets are dirty, the game machines half don't work and again this place has no AC! The toodler area them mats and toys old as hell and all look dirty! Kids don't understand though alll they know is play! They had a ball together and we couldn't get them to leave, this is why my issues weren't going to happen yesterday. It was GI day! But Monkey Joe's yall gotta do better! That place need updating! This place is pretty cool. Very affordable and there isn't a time limit. So for about $8 a kid it's great. You have to fill out the usual waiver and of course have grip socks or bring in some from before. I can say that it could be a little cooler in here bc the kids all come back flushed and dripping in sweat. I guess it's expected but still the air could be down some. I brought in water canteens so my kids could drink which really saves the day!! So if you can definitely bring your own. However if you don't they also have a small cafe where you can buy drinks, chips and snacks which are all affordable. Chips are $.99 and drinks $1-1.50 and they also have a small game/arcade area which u can't miss upon entry. They have a really good game selection also. Would bring kids again for some indoor fun out of the heat plus it's very affordable. The only downfall is that there is minimal supervision on the bouncy houses which can create some hazards for the kids who are all excitedly bouncy around. I guess that could fall on the adult/parent as well but would be nice if some staff were manning the different fun zones making sure anyone too big or too small isn't in the wrong areas bc it could go very wrong. read more

It was going great, but the food was small and running late because the kitchen was either out of order or didn't exist; I'm not sure. Anyways, we were told to order food from a pizza place by the employee assigned to our room (I don't think this is their fault). So the food gets here, and two employees I believe to be managers walked in like we are being served papers and announced that "this time we are gonna let it slide, but next time y'all can't bring in outside food" and left to the confusion of everybody in attendance. Later while we are getting ready to leave, they are running around getting more employees/managers talking outside our room like we can't hear them talking about us bringing outside food after being told to. I ended up leaving before this ended, but I'm told they gave a 25% discount on the party." Overall, I believe this to be a rude, childish and disrespectful thing to do at a child first birthday party, it's sad to see the place I also had a birthday as a child act like this I see plenty of other bad reviews on yelp so this obviously won't be enough. Not a bad spot to pass the time. The activities do run out kind of fast. By that i mean the bounce house selection. There are about 5-6 things my daughter was able to do and then she had to make her rounds again. She had fun nonetheless. Arcade was a miss. A lot of games were not working. Some games take quarters (the little room in the corner). Price is reasonable $10 plus tax ain't bad for about an hour and a half of bouncing. The entrance fee is for all day but we checked out after my daughter didn't have anything else to explore. Food prices seemed to be reasonable. Staff was decent. Cleanliness was 8/10. Came here on a Wednesday half hour before closing(didn't realize they closed at 7). Place was empty, kids had an awesome time. Came back today for Good Friday. I went today with my fiancé and daughter for the FIRST time , and as soon as we got there the line was long which is normal I'm not complaining about that . But the problem was that the manger which was a light skin lady with a bun in her head and extremely rude , unprofessional, no type of communication what so ever was just horrible . But I am writing the review hopping the owner of the place will read it and will make improvements. I was there on Thursday at 10 am - first costumer. Wherever I saw some dirty socks on the slides, bags of chips on the slides, garbage cans were not empty, no soap in the restroom and no hand sanitizers in some dispenser. I think the cost for a private party is insane. $200 for 8 kids to use a 'private room for 45 mins' food is not included only beverage and a host to help clean and setup. You cannot bring in outside food and must use their provider pappa johns. Who charges $15+ a cheese pizza or 1 topping pizza (8 slices) We celebrated my daughters bday on a weeknight. With it being a a school night for a few of our guests and guests battling through traffic there was no point for me to book a private party if the facility closes at 8pm. I rather let our guests enjoy 6:30-7:45 monkeying around then have them go in a room to eat overprice pappa Johns for dinner. They wouldn't let me have a tab for the children entry fee, which I understand they have rules. I even spoke with a manager. Don't waste your money or time! Yazmin the "manager" was the most unprofessional person I have meet this year. Posting this review won't be enough for me. I'm reporting this place to BBB and every platform possible just make a point. Upon arrival you wouldn't recognize they were open or that they even exist the front area was not properly lighted you would've thought they were closed not to mention their sign has half their logo name missing. The tablets didn't work and the front desk employee played on her phone the entire time and made no effort to actively help. I was shorted in my change and had to repeat myself twice to explain it was wrong. I purchased an extra 20 for games and was never told the prize section was closed. The tables were sticky and dirty and the inflatable was all beat up and torn. When I asked to speak to a manager she offered no empathy or apology for the entire experience. It was over 40.00 spent for 45 minutes of bs! When I went back to get her name she literally said her name with her behind the door and I couldn't hear her (see photo). She refused to come back out the office. I had to ask another employee for her name. The one who can't count at the register went in the office with her and closed the office door and left their other employee to continue playing on his phone. Horrible management yazmin has to be fired there is no way the employees will ever be of any quality if someone like her is suppose to be their leader. We went early Sunday morning when they opened up so we had the place practically to ourselves. It was great for the kids to run around. No time limit, pretty affordable. Arcade games were sparse, but that's ok, I wouldn't want them playing it anyways. I think people have issues b/c it's not jammed packed with bounce houses everywhere; which is fine with me. There's a lot of room to roam around and there are some chairs to sit around waiting for the kids to play. My favorite part was the TVs tuned to football. I can't remember if beer was available. Let's just call it like it is, this is a huge room filled with the air infused bounce houses that you usually see in your neighbors back yard. It's a novel idea, to say the least. The kids love it and it has a pretty reasonable cost to entertain them, as well as tire them out. I just have a couple observations. The place is run by, what appear to be, "tweens." They don't look old enough to even work and some look as if they don't wan to be there. Next, the carpet. I don't know what it is, but it is dangerous. It is super hard and very abrasive. Attended a birthday party here recently & it is not a place I want to return to. On top of that, one of the kids in our party cut their knee on a nail protruding out of the floor (it was a 3 bandages type of cut). We pointed out the nail to one of the workers & his "fix" was placing a folded foam mat on top of the nail. Seemed like a decent fix but of course kids moved the mat later. I'm sure there were multiple injuries that day & going forward until the safety problem is fixed. Supposedly socks are required but I know I saw at least one kid running around barefoot & he passed multiple employees. The pizza was disgusting. The young party helper had no clue as to how to slice a cake. She was cutting & serving HUGE portions of the cake to the little kids. One of her slices could probably be 3 or 4 servings especially since it was a 3 layer cake. Another employee came in & told us we needed to leave the party room because another group was waiting. Her delivery was rather rude & the birthday kid's parents were taken aback. The place is poorly managed from the front desk to the folks on the floor & the venue itself needs a makeover (the bounce houses probably need to be replaced too since they looked filthy). Book for a party for 24 kids package island excursion! You will spend around $600 or so depending on how many additional pizzas & drinks you want to order. Pizza is from Marcos pizza which was good. They supply plates, cups, forks & knives & decorate the area. You may bring your own balloons which is cheaper. We had one person who is the party "host" to decor and assist with your event. One person is not enough, we had to help out to make things faster. AC was not on in the room, had to mention it several times. Recently added new games and a toddler section and a playground area is being built. Great place for kids to burn energy however they need to coordinate & train better. The employees are all young! In 2021 these guys don't have a waitlist, if you arrive when the place is in its full capacity they just send you to another location or advice that you go home and come back another day. With all the tools we have nowadays like phones, internet, apps, webs, etc it is very easy to have a waitlist so you can wait in your car. They really need to improve this issue to make customers' waiting easier and more pleasant the visit to this place. read more

When there Saturday night - was crowded. I'm giving this a one star for a clear and simple reason - safety. I have an 11 month old - learning to walk and stand. So it's a perfect place for babies because they have an area for 3 year old a and younger. Unfortunately it seems man children and their Parnets don't respect the age limit so you have older kids doing flips next to a crawling baby. If I could give a negative star, I would. I was at Monkey Joe's on Saturday for a birthday party, first time to set foot in the place. My first impression was that it was significantly better than some of the negative comments I had heard, and I began to wonder if they were just wrong. I was impressed by the size, quality, variety, and number of inflatables. I was also impressed with the number of attendants stationed at the various inflatables. However, the positive first impressions were swiftly overpowered by the negatives. I noticed that there were at least 2 or 3 kids going in and out of the inflatables who were definitely NOT 12 or younger. At the very least they were 14 or 15-years old. Initially I thought they were helping younger children/siblings, and then I realized that some of them appeared to be doing that one minute and the next they were chasing each other in and out of the inflatables without any regard to the little kids around them. Eventually, I observed a group of 4-5 of them playing with reckless abandon, and no one was stopping them. I later saw them in a party room and came to the conclusion that no one stopped them because they were attendees for another birthday party (not a valid excuse). The icing on the cake was when a little girl could be heard crying, loudly, from inside one of the inflatables. The attendant who was stationed at that inflatable just stood there doing NOTHING (not even looking to see what was going on) until another attendant, who was stationed 2 inflatables away, blew his whistle to get her attention. When all the adults standing around finally saw the little girl emerge from the inflatable we thought she had hurt her wrist as she was cradling it against her body. Still the attendant did nothing. The girl kept crying loudly, and eventually a little boy who knew her led her away. It turned out that she had peed on herself and the inflatable. Urine was pooling up at the entrance to the inflatable and running down onto the mat that in front of the entrance. What did the attendant do? She disappeared. I thought she went to get a "closed" sign or something like it, but instead she returned with a few paper towels and a spray bottle. There were PUDDLES of urine pooling up in the crevices of the inflatable and running down onto the floor. I can't even imagine what it was like inside the inflatable. The attendant wiped various parts of the inflatable, but the puddles were still visible and somehow getting larger. She disappeared again and eventually returned with some more paper towels. Besides the fact that her cleaning skills were dismal (I don't know how you can clean by tossing a few paper towels on the ground and swiping them across the mess by using your foot), but she never once closed the inflatable. Kids kept going in and out of it. Accidents happen, but that was unacceptable and unsanitary to say the least. It's fair to assume that we will not be going back. Ever. I thought maybe this could be a great option for birthday parties. Um...No. read more
