    Drunken Noodles

Initial impressions, the interior is a lot nicer than the exterior. The thai iced tea was really good and you get a pretty large quantity for what you order. All the food came out hot and you could tell it was just made. However, items on the menu felt hit or miss. The tom yum soup, personally a miss, something about the smell of it was off which affected my taste. The roti in the roti thai style was really good and flaky, but the massaman curry was too thick. Drunken noodles were well made, and I had asked for spicy which the waitress gave us a warning that I might be "too much." However, it was quite the opposite and a bit below the spice level I was expecting. Also, felt like if you were ordering outside of their lunch special, the food is a bit expensive for what you get.

Decided to try this spot on the way home and was very excited to see the amazing reviews! The food was good but yikes the service and overall restaurant experience was not great - unsure if it was an off night? Tables left dirty /uncleaned, angry customers waiting for pick up, multiple customers reminding server of drink orders that took several minutes, no water or silverware for a while - the food did eventually come and was hot and good but not sure we'll be back? We ordered Thai iced tea, tom kha soup, pad thai and pad see ew. The diner vibe is so cute, they have potential for sure!

This is in the space that used to house the Thailand Diner. Now run by a very nice family serving up some delicious food. My wife and I started by sharing a duck salad which was quite large and tasted great. We then each had a Pad Thai for our main; she with shrimp and pork for me. Very tasty and with the requested heat strength. Our server was the daughter, a very nice young lady. Mom does the cooking and Dad is onsite too. The interior is very nice. A major improvement over what it used to look like. Can't wait to go back.

A cute old dinner converted into a Thai restaurant. We ordered chicken eggplant, BBQ chicken that comes with pineapple fried rice and glass noodle with shrimps. All dishes are delicious and they delivered the "Thai spicy" level when I asked for one. The noodle glass comes with generous big shrimp and it was delish! Service is attentive and the place is clean.

My son is a huge fan of Monkey Thai, if he could he would eat here everyday! This establishment went through a few owner/management changes, but the new current chef and owner (2026) has us coming back again and again! Love the accurate spicy levels! We loved the pineapple fried rice w/ crispy duck was delicious! Everything we have tried so far was absolutely perfect! Authentic flavors!

    Thai Diner!

Such a unique setting: a roadside Thai restaurant situated in a diner car. Only in New Jersey, with its diversity, Asian immigrant enclaves, and diner culture. And it's cute, cozy, and clean inside! The food is the best authentic Thai food I've had in NJ. The chef really knows how to balance between the acidity, sweetness, and spiciness that's characteristic of Thai cuisine. You see this coming out with the larb, where mint and basil are also fresh. Green curry was gentle and slightly sweet, yet bursting with flavor. It's a small detail but the music reminded me of a Thai cafe - very pleasant. It won't be long until this spot has long wait times. I'm hoping they keep the charm and coziness similar to this Thai diner car if they ever expand. Truly 5/5 stars from me - it's my favorite new restaurant I've eaten at this year.

Everything was absolutely excellent! The food was prepared perfectly, the service was fast and pleasant, and the place has great atmosphere. We went with our small son and it was very family friendly the owner we the pleasure of meeting was very kind, attentive, and friendly.. he said his wife was a chef in Bangkok and they recently moved here and took over this old spot and revamped with their own flair. We can't wait to return the duck was tender and crispy and the pineapple fried rice was delicious. We ordered many things that were great I will post photos. Give them a shot!

Wonderful hidden gem! Absolutely delicious, and when I say this I mean it. I'm a serious food critic and I know good food. This was a hidden gem. I stumbled on it by accident but I'm definitely going back each time I'm in the area. The food was so flavorful! The staff of King and attentive. The restaurant including the bathrooms was so clean, then even had a bidet! It's situated in a little old diner they converted into this cute little Thai restaurant. The spices and flavor blended together wonderfully. The chef makes creative entrees that where unique and had a burst of flavor sensation! It's a must try in Clark, NJ!

I ordered my standard pad Thai with shrimp and friend got the garlic beef with veggies and brown rice. Both were delicious, although not spicy... we had requested a 2 and a 3 out of four. Would rather have it less spicy than overheated, but definitely added more chilis ourselves. Reasonably priced especially for the portions! Would definitely recommend and return!

Normally, I'm not a big fan of steamed dumplings, so I was a little disappointed at first. However, the flavor was excellent and definitely exceeded my expectations, so I can't complain too much about the mix-up. The real star of the meal was the Yellow Curry Crispy Duck. Absolutely amazing! The duck was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the curry had incredible flavor. I ordered it with spice level 1, which was just right for me and allowed all of the flavors to shine through. My only real complaint is the portioning of the rice. While the half crispy duck portion was quite generous, the amount of rice provided didn't seem to match the amount of meat. For the price I paid, I feel like the rice portion should automatically be adjusted to complement the entrée. Having to request extra rice just doesn't make much sense when there's plenty of duck left over. I'm usually not picky about things like this, but considering the cost of the meal, I expected a little better balance. Other than that, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is a small hole-in-the-wall spot with a cozy, authentic feel. It's the kind of place that locals seem to know and enjoy. I actually discovered it while heading to a Mexican restaurant with some coworkers and decided to give it a try because I'm a big fan of Thai food. Overall, I'm glad I did. The food quality was excellent, the flavors felt authentic, and the crispy duck alone is worth coming back for. Despite a couple of minor issues, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. If you enjoy authentic Thai cuisine, you'll likely leave satisfied. Authentic taste and quality ingredients--everyone should give it a try!

1 Star - Absolute Rip-Off. Check Your Bag Before You Leave…read more I'd give them zero stars if I could. I ordered a large Tom Kha soup with both shrimp and chicken for pickup, and apparently, "large" means "half-empty" in their kitchen. To make matters worse, they completely forgot the chicken. I paid full price for a premium, multi-protein soup and ended up with a container of half-filled broth and a couple of sad shrimp. Charging customers full price for missing ingredients and cutting corners on portion sizes is a blatant rip-off. If you're going to order from Tasty Thai, bring a measuring cup, a magnifying glass, and check your food at the counter before you walk out. This restaurant is located in a small group of street lined businesses, with parking along the street. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating on their patio. We ordered the Pad Garlic and Pad King lunch specials, both with chicken and hot spice level. The lunch specials come with a salad dressed with a sweet dressing. Our food was out in record time and was piping hot, so it's definitely a spot if you are in a time crunch- hello power lunch!
