    Red curry w tofu

Delicious dinner - country style noodles with tofu and red curry w tofu. Food was delicious served quickly, and it was hot. My 6th time here.

I may be a sucker for Thai food but this is up there with some of the best Thai food I have ever had. The inside was super clean and modern with plenty of seating. The service was prompt and all food came out piping hot. The mummy shrimp was out of this world. The outer layer almost tasted like a frosted mini wheat deep fried around a shrimp, insanely good! The shrimp pad Thai had a classic taste and was nothing too special but great nonetheless. The pineapple fried rice with chicken was so fresh and had cashew nuts that added that extra crunch and dimension to a super flavorful dish. I had lychee lemonade for the first time ever and it was amazing! It almost has a white peach type of flavor but it's not too sweet and super refreshing. Definitely recommend stopping by 8 Thai for a date night or even a work party!

we only get take out from here and so far this is the place to go for spicy Thai food. Uber eats , grub hub prices are more than their website. free parking next to the building but it's usually full. plenty of street and muni parking

Lovely restuarant with a very cute interior. I ordered food for pickup and the person who took my order was very helpful. The dishes I ordered were a solid 3. The shrimp mummy were a good size but I can tell they fry everything in the same pot and they don't swap the oil out often. All in all, I wouldn't order again. The Pad se Ew with chicken had a very deep molasses taste. It was ok but the chicken was very overcooked.

My usual Thai place had been lacking so I decide to try this one. Ordered a chicken pad see ew, a chicken pad Thai and sticky rice with mango. The entrees were tasty and portions were a good size. I was left disappointed in the dessert. For the cost It was tiny and did not look appetizing. The taste left a lot to be desired. The rice was a purple rice which was fine but the grains were hard, sticky rice should be chewy. I would come here again just skip the dessert.

8Thai is a great addition to the Cranford, NJ dining scene! Cool ambience and tasty food! It has so many options that if you're unsure about Thai food or are a first Thai-mer, you'll be just fine! With their extensive menu, there's something for everyone. BYOB helps keep the cost down, which is a plus these days! The noise level can be a make or break for me, and here it was just right! It was noticeable how hard the waitresses were working, which was admirable. We will be back! PS Do NOT leave without trying their Thai ice tea! Incredibly good and oh so refreshing!

Always on the hunt for a great Thai spot - I came in here for a date night after seeing it had recently opened. The restaurant itself is quite large and beautiful designed. They have plant murals on the wall and a fun neon sign. Booth seating, stand alone tables and counter-style seating with green velvet chairs. Reservations were pretty easy to make. Street parking is available nearby. The food itself was pretty average. Ordered -Roti Massaman: probably the most flavorful of all the items ordered, no fried onion topping as listed -Pad Thai: good portion size, a bit too dry -Spicy Basil: good portion size, could've used more flavor Dessert- Thai tea crème brûlée: the fruit on top complimented the Thai tea flavor very well The restaurant is a BYOB, which I noticed several customers took advantage of - wine bottles, steel bottles, etc. They didn't charge a cork fee which was nice. Will continue my hunt but keep this place in mind for group dinners.

Ordered 8Thai for pickup on a Friday. Took about 45 minutes. The food was spectacular!! The appetizers stayed crispy even though we did takeout. The spring rolls were incredible. I loved my pepper and garlic beef. The sauce was so garlicky and the food tasted fr so. Can't wait to dine in here! So happy for this new addition to Cranford.

We wanted to try someplace new and stumbled upon 8Thai as a recently opened spot. We found easy street parking right across and the interior was warm and welcoming. No reservation but we were quickly seated within 5 minutes. For appetizers, we ordered the roti massaman and crispy calamari which was piping hot! Curry tasted great with the rotis and the calamari was super fresh and crispy. I ordered a Thai tea as well (pro tip: it's BYOB- can this place get any better?!) For the entrees, we ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, Tom Kha soup (unpictured but delicious as well!), and pineapple fried rice. Everything was a hit with the table and it was more than enough for our party of four. The staff was very attentive and the owner came to check on our table multiple times. If you like thai food, come check out 8Thai :) I will definitely be back for seconds! (And to try their dessert menu)

A mid to strong 3. The chive dumplings were nice and crispy. Flavor on point. But they use too much corn starch in the filling, giving it a gelatinous internal consistency. Really unpleasant. 3/5 The Crab Rangoon. I've had better. 3/5 The chicken satay was moist. The peanut sauce wasn't creamy enough. The sugar vinegar sauce was too sweet with too little acid. 4/5 The fried beef balls did not hit. Super strange, like fried beef hot dog bites. 1/5 Shrimp Shumai. Quite good, fried well. Tasted like they were not frozen, actually freshly made. Sauce was good too. 5/5 The creme brulee was good. 5/5

I ordered my standard pad Thai with shrimp and friend got the garlic beef with veggies and brown rice. Both were delicious, although not spicy... we had requested a 2 and a 3 out of four. Normally, I'm not a big fan of steamed dumplings, so I was a little disappointed at first. However, the flavor was excellent and definitely exceeded my expectations, so I can't complain too much about the mix-up. The real star of the meal was the Yellow Curry Crispy Duck. Absolutely amazing! The duck was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the curry had incredible flavor. I ordered it with spice level 1, which was just right for me and allowed all of the flavors to shine through. My only real complaint is the portioning of the rice. While the half crispy duck portion was quite generous, the amount of rice provided didn't seem to match the amount of meat. For the price I paid, I feel like the rice portion should automatically be adjusted to complement the entrée. Having to request extra rice just doesn't make much sense when there's plenty of duck left over. I'm usually not picky about things like this, but considering the cost of the meal, I expected a little better balance. Other than that, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is a small hole-in-the-wall spot with a cozy, authentic feel. It's the kind of place that locals seem to know and enjoy. I actually discovered it while heading to a Mexican restaurant with some coworkers and decided to give it a try because I'm a big fan of Thai food. Overall, I'm glad I did. The food quality was excellent, the flavors felt authentic, and the crispy duck alone is worth coming back for. Despite a couple of minor issues, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. If you enjoy authentic Thai cuisine, you'll likely leave satisfied. Authentic taste and quality ingredients--everyone should give it a try!

The restaurant had only a few people when we walked in. Two of us arrived first and we were seated immediately while waiting for the third person, who came about 5 minutes later. I mention this detail because a lot of restaurants are strict about not seating you until the entire party arrives (I appreciate Nakorn for not sweating the small stuff). It was my second time and their first time (per my suggestion). We're all foodies so I was confident they'd enjoy! And I was right :) For starters, we shared a curry puff appetizer (3 pieces). Small size, BIG flavor!! Especially paired with the pickled sauce. Chef's kiss! For our main dishes - I had the Chicken Pad See Ew and they tried the Mixed Seafood Pad See Ew (shrimp, scallops, and mussels). Everything was delicious!!! Had it not been for the intriguing conversation around the table, we easily would not have any leftovers to take home. It is a BYOB establishment, so we brough Sake and enjoyed it in the wine glasses provided by Nakorn. I love downtown Summit and all of its foodie glory, but if you've ever been, you know what parking is like. Free after 6pm Monday - Saturday and free all day Sunday. There's a small lot directly across the street from Nakorn, which is convenient. Be intentional though, the parking spaces go fast.

The dish in question was a dish called Pad Mee Duck and I've had it prior many times, but in other restaurants. What I received was steaming hot, but gloppy in texture and overly sweet. The duck had been deep fried, then sliced. It was in a shell of some kind of breading, maybe panko but the oil in the deep fat fryer was burnt tasting. Perhaps it should be changed more often? The noodles instead of being stir fried and crispy were sodden and listless. There was a disconnect somewhere between recipe and execution. Both were lacking. The vegetables, typical Asian style were just that. Typical. Not very fresh. But the duck was inedible and this dish was far from inexpensive. Don't order this preparation. It really needs work.

The food here is fresh and really sumptuous. Honestly, they serve some of the best pho we have ever had. The bone broths used in the soup are incredibly flavorful and feel freshly made.
