This place is a scam. Horribly rude customer service. I bought a Groupon for an oil change and apparently it was the wrong one for my type of car. Groupon said they cannot refund me because the money went right to the merchant Monro. Monro refuses to refund me. read more

Prices are competitive. The service itself is good and the crew is great. The one thing they have to improve at is being a little more professional and attentive to the online appointments and answering their messages. Every single time that I have made an appointment online and confirmed when I show up they seem to be lost in regards to the appointment and Sometimes I have had to reschedule because they " don't have time" or a crew member didn't show up. My suggestion is if you're not going to monitor the online appointments you shouldn't be offering that option. Time is money and I hate wasting it. read more

I had the state inspection done. It was thorough and done on time. They tested the battery too. Overall good value.

Visiting from out of town and parking brake started sticking, causing serious issues trying to drive on highway. We called them at 4 PM on a Saturday and they said they could look at it right away. They had us back up and running in less than an hour and didn't even charge us. This was after we had waited to have it looked at at Pep Boys for around 3 hours before giving up. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. I would previously go to the Monro on Roherstown Rd but they lost their personnel for state inspection, so I scheduled at this location. I scheduled a week in advance and showed up to my appointment early. I brought my registration and insurance electronically. This is what I had done before at the other Monro location and they had no problem receiving an email with the info, printing and adding to their files. This location had a huge problem with this, saying they had a 3hr delay to receive emails. They got aggressive in their tone to me when I tried to explain elsewhere had no issue with this and I asked to cancel my appointment. Will not return. read more

The shop is supposed to open at 7:30am and my appointment was for 8am. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment and the place was dark and all locked up. A delivery guy asked me if I worked there, he'd been waiting a while, but said this happens here a lot. I waited until 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment and still no one. As I was leaving, someone was pulling in, almost an hour after they're supposed to be open. Got an appointment somewhere else. They don't have respect for my time, they're not getting a dime of my money. read more

This place used to be good. That has changed. I went there with my 2011 Subaru Outback for an oil change. The guy behind the counter told me that my car takes semi-synthetic, synthetic, or high mileage oil only. I told him he was wrong. I have 170k miles on the car, always used conventional oil, my owner's manual calls for conventional oil, and the last time I was here, I had no problem getting conventional oil put in. He insisted that his computer won't let him do that and so I left to go elsewhere. It sounds like a scam to upcharge the oil change. They just lost a customer. read more

This place is amazing! We had some sort of oil leak and aren't from the area and were nervous to drive the car all the way back home. We called a few places and no one could look at the car. We called here and they said they could absolutely look at it! I'm not sure of the mans name who helped us, but he was super friendly and very efficient. He figured out that someone put the oil filter on wrong! He fixed it and didn't even charge us! I would def recommend Monro! read more

My experiences at monro have always been awesome. I've taken my car here multiple times. The guys that work here are always fun to talk to, and they're always transparent when it comes to what your car needs. They only recommend what you need, unlike other shops that constantly try to upsell you and jip you on stuff you don't actually need. My son in law brought his truck in for an issue he had with his truck on 12/26/2019 at the SHOP #220 LANCASTER,PA 17601. This truck was in the shop for approx. two weeks trying to determine the issue. Tim Holtzapple had to determine the issue because Christian did not know anything about rear differentials. While in the shop a mechanic left the door open on the truck overnight killing battery which Tim Holtzapple the manager admitted to this. My son in law was told he would need a battery because the charge wasn't holding to good. Then the bug guard was broken while in the shop as well which we have proof from pictures that the bug guard was not broke. My husband being a mechanic years ago bought a battery and installed it which we paid for costing 250.00. Tim promised my son in law a free inspection and he would replace the bug guard. Tim advised my son in law that he had to put 200 miles with the new battery before he could do the inspection. On several occasions my son in law tried to make appointments and was told they were busy and could not do it. He was told it would take only 45 minutes to do both. Today, March 1st, 2020 my son in law brought his truck at 9:30 a.m. to the shop Christian told him they were very busy to bring it back at 3:00 p.m. My son in law advised them since they are here they would leave the truck there and they can do it when they had the time. Not hearing from anyone my son in law went to the shop at 7:00 p.m. and nothing was done to the truck. Christian became nasty with my daughter and said they weren't doing it today they would have to leave the truck. This is unexceptable. My son in law uses his truck for work and needs that truck. Tim texted my daughter saying they were doing the inspection but my son in law had to install the bug guard himself. Tim also told my daughter the battery was 5 years old and was going to need one anyway. My husband and I have brought our business to this location as well as my daughters vehicle in the past and never had an issue. There have been 3 managers in the past few months which is very disturbing to us. I will never bring my business to your company again, while these people are running this shop. We have spent thousands of dollars in this shop between all 4 of our vehicles. My daughter was told never to bring their vehicles there again, and he could report it to whoever she wants. People like this running a business reflects bad reputation for Monro. read more

I have been going here for the last few years and I must say that I have never had any issues with their customer service. They are always friendly and courteous and do there best to get me in and out. They have never tried to get over on me and have always done a great job. Today when I noticed I had a flat tire the day before leaving on vacation I didn't hesitate to call to see if they could squeeze me in. On a Friday they got me in at a moments notice. I was in and out in 20 minutes. I can not express how pleased I was with their service and would recommend Monroe to anyone needing any car repairs or routine maintenance. read more

Never again will I go to this place. Went on Saturday 1/20/18 at about 10 am to get car inspection. The guy told me they were busy to come back at 2 pm. When I came back the guy I saw in the morning was no longer there and I was told I could not be seen without appointment. They gave me appointment for today 1/22/18 at 10 am, I showed up on time but after waiting for 2 hours left the place without inspection. Poor customer service if they tell you to come back without giving you an appointment don't expect to receive any service and if you make appointment don't expect service to be in a timely fashion! read more

This place was a nightmare. I went in for an oil change which took about 2 hours for them to finish. Which I can deal with waiting a little bit sometimes. When leaving the shop and I pulled out and steam was shooting out from my hood. I pulled across the street to the giant and saw coolant leaking from a line running to my radiator. Looks like it was hit with a wrench. I brought it back to the shop no longer then 10 minutes later. They claimed I must have damaged my car pulling out of their shop and they would gladly fix it for a price. They manager was very rude and a complete prick. Where the line is their is no way I could have damage it on my 1 year old car leaving their lot. I brought my car across to the Firestone since they refused to fix the damage they did to my car. I didn't want to give them anymore money. I should have read other reviews before bringing my car their. Think they had one good review, but sounds like it was done by the shop. First, I wish there was a way to not give any stars because this place doesn't deserve even a single star. They mounted and balanced new tires on my car recently. While I was driving my stepchildren to school this week, right after I got off of the highway, my rear driver side wheel came off. It ended up destroying the whole wheel assembly, the rear shock, and rotor. Luckily, I was only going about 15mph when it happened, and was able to coast to a smooth stop without causing more damage to my car or anyone else's. It could have been a different situation if it happened moments earlier while I was on 283. The repair shop I had to tow it to informed me that actually all of the other wheels were also extremely loose, and none of the tires were balanced even close to accurately. Even with the small window of variance that will happen from driving the car, it was beyond that range by quite a bit. I called Monroe, and spoke to the manager. He immediately got defensive and hostile, even before I completed telling him what happened. I didn't even bring up trying to recoup the cost for it, yet he basically accused me of looking for money and someone to point the finger at. He said that could have happened to anyone and has nothing to do with their service on the vehicle. After reading these other reviews, I see that this is just standard behavior for them. I typically avoid chains if I can, but figured how hard could it be to mount and balance tires. I guess I was wrong to expect a mechanic, chain or not, to consider the safety of its clients and their families. NEVER GO HERE! read more
