I go in to get my cars alignment done and end up being stranded in their parking lot on an extremely hot day with my two young kids (2 and 7 month) due to their negligence. My car was fine until it was time to pay and i got told "the caliper piston was leaking and thats why the brakes felt weird" i replied they didnt feel weird before coming here (i know my car) So i go out to my car, start it, put it in drive and my foot literally goes to the floor as my car is rolling forward so i quickly put it back in park....my mechanically inclined brother goes to investigate and low and behold my brake hose was broken.....brake fluid all over the ground! THOSE BRAKE LINES WERE DONE 8 MONTHS AGO!!!! PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW!!!! What do i get told by people at vancleecks? That it was my fault, that i brought my car to them like that, they even went as far as telling me where i parked had brake fluid on the ground which it wasnt brake fluid....it was oil cause my car has an oil leak! So, close to $170 for them to do my cars alignment as close as possible with a broken brake hose that they broke but wont take the blame for....they just blamed me

Went in for something simple, new tires nothing more. So from the point of my vehicle being jacked…read moreup to the time the air gun touched the first lug nut, took them 12 minutes. Not going to be winning any speed drills with those times. Another 12 minutes & the first tire is done. & 13 minutes for the second. Then from the time the lugs were tightened to the time that it was off the lift, was another 15 minutes. Everything was followed by a 12 minute test drive down the road & back, before i was on my way. But not without an attempt at telling me that my 6 month old tires look like they're in need of replacement soon. So, not a busy day & 64 minutes to change out 2 tires. I was in no rush, so i was not concerned.

It was found 11 months later when I brought my car into the dealership for my next oil change (which was significantly cheaper than what Monro charged me!) I contacted customer service to get a refund but they refused. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I went to J&J about getting my car inspected...the only shop that was friendly and helpful when I…read moresaid I needed walk in service if available. I got the inspection done today and the experience was great. Jay, one of the owners, welcomed me to the shop, very friendly. I sat in the waiting area after they started the inspection. There was another customer there and we started chatting. He couldn't praise the guys there enough. This other customer and I started lamenting how a lot of businesses don't provide the same customer experience we were use to from when we were younger (yes, bunch of old guys lamenting the world is going to...) and he said J&J is one of the exceptions. Jay showed me some additional concerns on my car...brake and tire wear. He showed me the problem areas and said I have some time left but these expenses are coming down the pike. It was refreshing to see this sales approach...I was aware he was upselling the other services they offer and I was totally happy with that...that's what all businesses must do. It was the approach, education, and showing me why the repairs would be needed that convinced me that when I need the work to be done, I will go to Jay and his team. Well done guys and keep it up! I was comfortable enough in the waiting room and had access to WiFi so I could do some work. I used a coupon and my total was around $85. I was a bit surprised because I usually pay around $70 at other places, but they did use Euro grade because I have a cooper. My only other thing was that the technician who moved my car was smoking as he got into my car. He wasn't smoking in my car but the smoke got in there and I could smell it for the rest of the day. Otherwise, I was very satisfied and will be happy to come back. It's obvious that people coming in love coming here and respect the work done.

First they will up sale stuff you don't need like "new" tires, meanwhile you're tires are still good. Then they will remove your inspection sticker without your permission and basically force you to do what tell you or recommend.

(Some car places have scorned how a female could know about carwork, but never here; in the past Mark has even said save money - you can fix this! And Eli is a fellow Dodge Dart fan, not that I have one any longer, sob sob). We go to them for advice on new old cars (last year we asked where we could find another Subaru Legacy, and they pointed across the street at the car they had just fixed - "there". Easiest search we ever had!) Combine this with being in walking distance, and we hope they never close!

Milt and his gang are great. I had a problem with my truck and I thought it may be a transmission…read moreproblem. I took it to Sharp Transmissions because of the reviews and its a transmission shop. I work on my truck as much as I possibly can but dealing with repairing a transmission is out of my wheel house. I dropped off the truck in the morning and I got a call about 2 hours later. Milt told itme he had inspected the car test drove and it was not the tranny it was the power steering pump that had a small not noticeable leak but the fluid resevoir was almost dry and that was the noise I was hearing coming from the truck. He added power sterring fluid and solved the problem but let me know it something that will need attention down the road. I thanked him I picked up my truck later that evening. Drove the truck home ran like a charm. I will certainly take it to him again when I need work done. I appreciated his honesty he could have told me I needed a new transmission instead I got a honest and fair evaluation and fix. Thanks Milt glad to see that there are still good folk out there. Oh, the joy of owning an old Jeep (now a quarter century old). Sprung a big transmission fluid…read moreleak when down in New Jersey on New Years Day. The AAA tow truck operator asked me where I wanted it to be towed, and I immediately said "Sharp Transmission." The dropped it off and put the key in the after hours slot. Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day! I picked the car up this morning and it is working perfectly. Like I said before, if you are not taking your car to Sharp, you should start doing so. Great service, excellent communication, attention to detail... Highly recommended.
