Afterward, I called the phone number displayed on the van to express my concerns, not realizing that the person who answered was the same driver involved in the incident. During the call, the driver became rude and unprofessional. He disputed my account of the situation and made statements that I believe were inaccurate. I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed respectfully. The entire interaction left me frustrated and uncomfortable, which is why I am submitting this complaint for review.

Then I called Penfield Plumbing. I woman I spoke with on the phone told me they could come on the 2nd, which was reasonable given the holiday, and gave me an estimate. Then she sent someone out that afternoon (on the 31st) to look over my current setup to check for code issues or other concerns that might increase the cost. Finding nothing, he wrote me a quote for the same amount as I was given on the phone and then said "want us to do it today?" We had other things going on, so we opted to keep our appointment on the 2nd. On the 2nd, the crew arrived early and had the new unit in and everything cleaned up in about an hour and a half. The price I paid was on par with the other providers I called and everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Penfield Plumbing for water heater service.

Steve was the plumber who came out to take a look at our shower issue, and he was on time, and very professional. He let me know what we were looking at price-wise, and although it was a little steeper than I expected, the work they did was good. You should know that their service call price is $49. That's on the lower end in my experience, but they don't waive it if the work is more, it's added to your bill. That said, I talked to another plumber in the area whose service call price was $250 (bananas), so it's all relative.
