I bought a 50 year old home in Monessen that has an underground basement that I wanted to convert to a man cave. The only problem is it's very dark and not very inviting. They did a great job replacing 6 basement windows of various sizes. They were the lowest of 3 bids and, unlike the others, did not upcharge for some clear view and extra vents. They also preserved more of the original woodwork than other proposals for a better look, and filled in gaps with dyed mortar for a good look without need for additional trim. Monroeville Glass Block did an amazing job for us. They replaced 9 basement windows with glass block, including vents in each. They cleaned out the exterior window wells, and them poured concrete bases in each one. Many of them were hard to reach. They pulled out all of the old wood from the windows, then took the wood away. They left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Patrick was great to work with. He included a few free vents at no charge. They came promptly, working on a 92 degree day, and were careful to make sure the job was done right. Can't say enough about them. Their prices were better than others that gave us quotes. read more
