Jeff: Straight forward, honest and respectful adult! In this day and age, when it would be easy for an established glass company doing large commercial jobs to fly the residential coop and focus on the real money, Jeff is still there doing little $30 jobs. When I was there, realizing I was lucky to be getting personalized service within 24 hours of my initial inquiry, some dude walked in to pick up his order. ( an old wood frame with about a 6x18 piece of glass in it that had been replaced ) Immediately the guy complained about the work. Jeff explained to him the process of working with old wood, and that putty is no longer used in the process because it cracks. Jeff excused himself from working on my order to assist this guy, who never acknowledged he was interrupting my service, or had excused himself for having done so. The guy left and came back about 5 minutes later. He still wasn't happy. Knowing Jeff had fit me in before a big job, Jeff too the piece and said come back later, I'll make it right. What I realized in watching the interaction was that the guy just wasn't going to be happy no matter what Jeff did because he expected an old "beveled" putty edge on the pain, but obviously did not identify this in his request. I thought... of this millennia, "Use your words, brag!" Having spent time chatting gracefully about our political views, which weren't in alignment, I realized had this kid just been able to communicate like an adult, he would have been, if not satisfied with what his previous expectLatinos, at least aware of where the problem was. I talk of this, because that interchange will likely end up is a cruddy review for Pittsburgh Mirror and Glass, when communication of expectations and being willing to listen are what it takes to actually get what you want. My experience, FROM START TO FINISH was an exceptional joy! I would recommend Jeff to ANYONE needing residential glass replacement because the work was fine and professional. The political conversation, a joy and enlightening on both sides, and where five stars are all I can give here, I'd give him a ten out of ten for service and patience! Jeff the owner was very polite. I need to replace 2 glass on my windows that the seal went bad. He met me half way to measure my windows and he was the best price AroundMe. The turn around time was really quick as well. I would definitely recommend him and use him again if I need to. read more

Completely unprofessional, made a mess of my home during installation, owner and employees were drunk during the installation, they were screaming and arguing with one other ... My neighbors wanted to call the police! They put holes everywhere trying to find studs to screw into all over my walls... If you attempt address an issue you may have with their work ....the owner Jeff will start screaming, bullying, and cursing... 5-9-2014 I call Pittsburgh Mirror and glass and spoke with Jeff the owner. I told him I had a problem with my patio door and was also having trouble with some of my windows. I had my parents coming in from out of town and needed it done Friday afternoon. Jeff laughed and told me he understands how important family is and assured me that he would personally come and look at it himself. To my surprise Jeff and his helper were at my house in the North Hills within 30 minutes from when I spoke with him. I was so amazed that they were there and felt at ease and not stressing about my parents seeing my place a wreck. Jeff and his helper looked at the problems I had, Jeff told me I needed new glass, for my patio door and told me he had it in stock, as for the windows Jeff told me that the balancers were broke and that he had those as well. Jeff also pointed out the fact that my patio door track was bent and that he had a solution for that as well. Jeff gave me a price and thought it was really reasonable considering it was an emergency for me but Jeff was so calm and patient and assured me that he would be back within an hour to correct me problem before my parents got there. Jeff as promised had the patio door glass fixed and replaced, the patio door track was fixed as well and the door opened with ease. The Jeff fixed my windows with new balancers and they had no problem staying up after Jeff fixed them. I am so thankful that Jeff was on top of everything and was able to take care of me. My parents just left and had a great time. Jeff I want to personally thank you, I needed help and you were there. Hopefully I won't need that kind of of quick service in the future but I know if I do that you will be there to get fixed for me and for me not to worry. I would never recommend this company. The owner Jeff is very ignorant and rude! My realitor referred us to them to replace some broken glass for 2 windows at my Mother in-Law's house. Took several times calling before they called me back. Jeff came and finally measured the windows and told me the glass would be available the following week. One of the workers did call and we setup a time for someone to be available at my mother in law's house on that date since no one currently lives there. The worker was suppose to be there by noon. Never called or showed up, so I called and he stated the job he was at took alittle longer so he was going to be late. He told me he would be there by 1pm. By 1:40 still no worker or phone call, so I called the worker and he was still in Monroeville and wouldn't be there for along time. I told him I wanted to talk with the owner Jeff. Called Jeff and I was pretty upset because my sister in law was sitting there for almost 2 hours waiting for them. I told him this is no way to run a business. He told me "Don't tell me how to run my business". "What did you make last year, I bet I made alot more than you". I've never been talked to like that and I refused to pay him for the glass. He did charge my credit card $100 for the glass which I am going to distubute since I didn't receive the glass! I will report this company to the better business bureau too! read more
