I had been craving Korean hotdogs for 3 years and FINALLY happened to be nearby this restaurant. We ordered 5 different types of hot dogs and 6 mochi donuts and it was everything I ever wanted. The staff were friendly and gave recommendations and the dogs came out piping hot and fresh! My husband and kids tried mochi donuts for the first time and they are now obsessed! Hopefully it won't be another 3 years before we get back here because these dogs are too good to miss!

Took 15-20 minutes to get my order. The place is more a to go place not much room to sit. I liked that they had a topping bar but the food itself made me queasy afterwards so be careful if you have a sensitive stomach.

This was one of the most terrible mochinut experiences I have ever had! Where do I start? I went and it was fairly busy, and I understand that. However, the customer service was sorely lacking, especially by the guy who was running the front counter. The place is very small and definitely an old and dingy vibe. I ordered through the kiosk and I ordered three mochinuts for myself and my family. Not only did he skip over our order, but he called everyone else's order! For most of the time, despite how busy the restaurant was, he was just standing there and doing nothing. He took our order receipt and put it in the done pile! At that point, I told his female colleague that we had been waiting 20 minutes and other people were getting their mochinuts while we were not! I was so upset! Finally, she served us, but wasn't very polite. Given this experience, I'm not sure we will be back unless they get more customer service oriented employees. Be warned before you go!

What a cute hole in the wall! Their menu is limited to mochi donuts and corndogs. There's the meat or mozzarella with different sides and toppings but many different flavors of sauce as well as variations of donuts. Staff was really sweet and just the vibes inside were bright:)

The corn dogs here are amazing and my order comes out right everytime! The drinks here are delicious as well, a little pricey for the size but it's definitely worth it. The line can move slowly sometimes but if you got the time to wait then give this place a try!

The hot dog tastes delicious and crispy. The staff were quite busy, so it might take some time to place an order and receive the food, but the wait is worth it.

Excellent rice dogs. Made to order so it'll be a few min or longer if there's a wait but they're pretty quick. Tiny inside so either a stand and eat or take to where ever you're headed. 10+ sauces. Same store also sells Mochinut. Go! It's excellent and decently priced!

I stopped by chung chun rice dog for a snack and it did not disappoint!! It's definitely a grab n go spot since the place itself is quite small and there's just a few counter seats. They did decorate a corner cutely and had kpop playing on the tv (after I arrived?). I ordered the #16 Spicy Half&Half (Half Mozzarella, Half Spicy) and was surprised at how much I liked it! I also ordered a strawberry mochinut and together the total was about $11. I ended up getting full off these two items which makes it a really cost effective snack/meal. The corn dog took about ~7 minutes to fry and I got a good cheese pull out of it! The sausage part also did have a good spiciness to it. Overall, the prices are fair and the corn dogs are yummy! I wish the space itself was cleaner/bigger and made to sit down but it's fine as a quick place to grab something. The menu was quite extensive and I want to come back to try adding hot cheetos!

The Korean Corn Dog is delicious.. I have had probably 5 of the dogs, with different breading. I use to go there a lot when I worked at Harborview.

It was delicious! The hot dogs were made well and the wait was alright. We probably waited for about 10 minutes for the hot dogs to be ready. I got the spicy half and half. It consisted of mozzarella and spicy sausage. There are many sauces to choose from to top off on your hot dog. My personal favorite is the honey mustard. The interior was okay. It was small and no place for seating which was alright as this was something that can be eaten on the go.

I normally love to go here for a quick bite, but this time the inside of my hot dog was straight up dough. The fryer temperature is too high or something bc my sweet potatoes on the outside were almost burnt. It's never been like this before.

These dogs on a stick are great, not perfect. Don't expect it to be a fast alternative to other places in the area as they make these fresh to order. I can't think of a time I didn't have to wait for them to cool down before I could eat. Over the years they have made minor adjustments to their establishment. For now when you come it, it's a very small shop with minimal standing / eating room the only place to eat is a medium bar counter along the back wall which is also where the lines spills into when it's overflowing. They have many ways to order which does help. Especially when you think you have to wait for the main register then walla a random kiosk right by the front door and another by the counter. This does come at a price of service, I feel like I'm in some automated shop with a server that's just there for backup. The staff is also very young on average. It's kind of fun to simply just people watch while you wait on the food. They have a larger cut out window that lets you easily see what's going on in the kitchen. So many hotdogs. Yes they have expanded their selection over the years and have over a dozen varieties. From pork, chicken pork, and beef. They also have many self serve sauces that are very yummy and even unique for hotdogs. One thing that threw me off was, they are also the donut shop which I don't remember also being here. I actually accidentally passed by the shop more than once because I didn't realize they were also the donut shop. There's a lot going on in this location so be ready. And be sure to order ahead of time if you don't want to be awkwardly waiting for 20 minutes in a hit and tiny shop with 8 high school kids, 2 family of 5s, and the few locals trying to just get a quick snack.

If you're a hot dog or corndog fan and are looking to try something a little unique, Chung Chun Rice Hot Dog in Seattle is where it's at! Located in the International District, this restaurant offers a unique Korean-style hot dog experience that has been gaining popularity in the US over the last few years. Korean-style hot dogs are different from the traditional American hot dog in that they are coated in rice flour batter, which gives them a crispy texture when fried. The hot dogs are then topped with a variety of delicious and creative toppings, such as cheese, potato, and even squid ink. There are so many options to choose from at Chung Chun Rice Hot Dog, try not to be intimidated or overwelmed. Two popular menu items include the Classic Rice Dog and the Squid Ink Rice Dog. The Classic Rice Dog is a perfect starting point for those new to Korean-style hot dogs. It features a crispy hot dog coated in rice flour batter and topped with ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Easy peasy! The Squid Ink Rice Dog, on the other hand, is for the more adventurous diner. This hot dog is coated in a black squid ink batter and topped with mozzarella cheese, diced potatoes, and seaweed flakes... a real winner if you ask me! Do me a favor and just throw fear and intimidation out the window when visiting Chung Chun. It can be fun to try new things, and you never know what you might end up loving. I mean, how bad can it be? It's just a hot dog!

Ask the Community - Chung Chun Rice Dog Mochinut

    Are these gluten free?

These hot dogs are not gluten-free. They are dipped in a rice flour batter and rolled into panko bread crumbs before being fried. Any extra ingredients; ramen, potato, etc., are added before the panko bread crumbs.

Are there any options for vegetarians?

Yes!!! You can have the filling to be cheese instead of meat:)

If you had to pick 2 to eat, which ones would you get? Or will 1 fill you up?

Definitely the sweet potato dog and the ramen dog. I finished one and my boyfriend finished two. So if you didn't eat anything beforehand I would say get two.

Are the hotdogs made of pork or beef?

Sign said All Beef except for 2 of them: Volcano and one other but can't remember. Just there last night.

    Is anything gluten free?

    Unfortunately no

Is the mozzarella literally just mozzarella? i dont eat meat and have been craving the ones i get in LA where it's literally just cheese!

Yes just cheesy carb-y delicious-ness! :D I love the mozzarella one with fries on the breading!

Is there any wheat flour in the batter?

    No!

    What are ChungChun's holiday hours?

11-6pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Do they have Tteokbokki also? Went to Myungrang in Honolulu for Korean hot dogs and they had them as a side dish, really good.

Not yet, but I believe they have plans to expand their menu!

They had various condiments and toppings available on the side including ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, pickles and pickled carrots. It was just the perfect amount of food with lots of flavors. After we were done eating, we came by the stand to grab some napkins and the lady asked us how the food was. I thought it was a nice gesture.
