These guys know how to sling tasty dogs! Not mind blowing, but decent price and good variety. I tried a Chicago dog, chili dog and Seattle dog. The Chicago dog was probably my favorite, as was the chili dog. The Seattle dog was a little boring for me (and I love a good Seattle dog). The guy taking our order was super nice, and did a great job. No indoor seating, but the outdoor seating was great.

The burger was good. The fries were bad but the chili cheese fries are worse. The hot dog is okay. Go here for burgers. The location is quaint and old timey, I love it. The staff is also really nice. There no indoor seating.

If you're looking for a quick and affordable place to get lunch, Matt's is the place with their ~$5ish hot dogs and burgers all under $10. There's a good variety of dogs from your local favourites like the Seattle Dogs, to their Famous Chili Dogs. The space is quite small, there's a few bar stool tables to sit at, but you'd have a better time eating outside at one of the benches. Other than that, service is quick pace and no-frills. The hot dog I ordered was satisfying, has a nice snap like how they describe it, and honestly I whiffed up that hot dog pretty quickly, honestly could've eaten two. But instead I wanted to try out a burger as well which satisfied my hunger. It's a good burger, a little too much lettuce for me though. The only thing I didn't like was the fries that I got, they felt a little stale, so I could. have done without it. TLDR: Great dogs, good burgers, could've been better fries. Worth visiting if you're in Georgetown.

This was a place in my to visit list and I had to do a Togo because I was in a rush. The place is small and more of takeout orders but there is also place to sit and eat outside. It would be better to order and eat there instead of doing takeout. The hot dog tasted good but it was a bit soggy because I decided to do takeout which was a bad mistake. But I will give this place another try soon!

This is place is a staple. Been there since the '90s and May is still there as well. Great little piece of Seattle history. Not a lot of hot dog centered restaurants or joints around here so when I discovered it I knew I had to check it out. It's in the hat I call the industrial area outside the city but still within the city type. It's on a corner next to tracks and obscurity. I wanted to try a few things so I already had in mind my order but I still took my time and perused the spot before sauntering up the stoop. It has a quaint little outdoor square so to speak with benches and wood countertops yo eat and that's where I decided to set myself once I had my food. I went inside and saw men in the kitchen and running the counter and shortly after Mike, the man hisself came in with a classic PNW grin and smile. I ordered the NY dog, the Seattle dog and the Chicago. Large coke and a side of cheese fries. I wanted to lay card but the system was down and luckily I just so happened to have cash, which I rarely do or if I do it's for emergencies only. Well the silent alarm went off and I humbly pulled out my bill and paid due. After a bit of short time my food was ready and I stepped out into the outdoor space and took my spot and ate. My food was hit and looked good. The coke was nice and cold and I dug right in. The first so was the Seattle. Cream cheese and grilled onions. A good dog. I'm not sure why Seattle settled on those toppings but I'm not completely. It was savory and a little sweet from the onions. Creamy and a good blend of texture and bite. The next was the NY dog. It had sauerkraut, classic tomato sauce and mustard. It was good. Now I've never been to New York but I've had the original Sabrettes tomato condiment and it's more vinegary than Mikes version but still a good dog. Last but my favorite whenever and wherever I see it on the menu was the Chicago dog. Classic. Sport pepper. Tomatoes slices. Pickle. Sport relish. Onion. Mustard and even celery seed. The only difference was the missing poppyseed bun but it was still a great dog. After I downed the kennel I ate the cheese fries. Good excellent crisp and salty. Creamy but not too gooey cheese sauces. Are there better versions of this? Yes but it paired well with the dogs that I forgot to mention had a great snap and bite. The chew of everything was immaculate. But the fires wet a good side dish. I definitely recommend this place for not just a great dog but for history and nostalgia plus you get to might get to see the legend himself, Mike.

Seattle Dog 4/5 overall. Bun 4/5. Dog 5/5. Toppings 4/5. Size and value 3/5. Fantastic hot dog from the world famous spot, Matt's! Soft steamed bun, delicious with a great snap to it, all about that snap! Best dog I have ever had no doubt. Cream cheese and onions well portioned and added nicely to the flavor and texture. Everyone needs to try a Matt's dog!

Burger patty taste like quality beef. It was lightly seasoned and the veggies added a lovely freshness. The hotdogs hit the spot. The amount of fries you get with the chili cheese fries is sad. Overall, price is fair and they have plenty parking in the front along with outside eating area. Great local burger/ hot dog joint.

Great food, service, music, and fun! Experience a classic old time hot dog stand with all of the fixings! But not just simply dogs; enjoy burgers, fries, and great shakes (I suggest Chocolate/Strawberry)... https://youtube.com/shorts/O1ekWOE8aag?feature=share

Honestly a Georgetown icon. I come here for lunch whenever I'm in the area for work, they're super fast and convenient--and their sausages are house made! Even for takeout, everything gets packaged really well. But, if it's a nice day, there's a shaded patio and benches outside. Whenever I want to recommend out-of-towners to the Seattle dog, I take them here, and it always receives rave reviews!

After finding out about Loretta's Northwesterner, which is basically the only place in Seattle that serves tenderloin sandwiches, we made it a priority to visit on a surprisingly rainless and cloudless February winter weekend. Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich ($18) - That's the stuff. A perfectly fried and breaded tenderloin, easily 3 or 4 times the size of the almost vestigial bun, topped high with veggies (on the side, of course, to assemble to taste). It's a very respectable size, larger than many places I've visited in Indiana and Iowa. Thick breading encrusts a perfectly cooked tenderloin, allowing a hard crispy shell to develop, while the interior meat, pounded flat, remains tender yet moist. Both the breading and pork are liberally seasoned with salt, pepper, and spices, which creates a well seasoned bite. They include tons of romaine, red onion, tomatoes, and tangy pickles - with everything in place, I almost had to unhinge my jaw to eat the sandwich. The bottom bun is slathered with an ungodly amount of mayo. It's necessary to add more creaminess and fat to the relatively lean meat. The one qualm I have that prevents me from anointing this sandwich the best in the west: the bun. While toasted on all sides, it's dry and kind of crumbles apart while eating. Otherwise, this sandwich is excellent and easily competes with the many pork tenderloins I've eaten in the Midwest. (5/5) Fries ($6) - A $6 basket comes with a generous portion of freshly fried potatoes. The fries are skin on, which basically makes these crisp starchy sticks a health food. I found them to be fried a bit too far, rendering the interiors fluffy but dry. They have good crisp exteriors, though, and aren't overly salted. (4/5) Tavern Burger ($7) - Loretta's is actually more famous for their burgers than the tenderloins, with many publications in Seattle claiming they serve the best in the city. People often recommend getting the Double Tavern Burger, but we opted for the single given that we were planning on a couple of stops for desserts and pastries afterwards. For a full meal, I'd definitely want to upgrade to the double - the single isn't that large, probably comparable to a cheap fast food burger with a slightly larger patty. The beef is heavily charred in flavor, lending a great smoky aroma and a beefy bite. It's cooked well done, so the entirely of the burger is the same brown color, but there's more than enough moisture coming from the other ingredients to offset the dryness of the beef. There's a requisite slice of melted American cheese on top and plenty of fatty mayo-based secret sauce underneath, dressing a bunch of chopped onion and sliced pickle. The tanginess from the pickle balances out the fat and meat quite well. I'm not sure I'd call the burger the best in the city, but it's certainly pretty good. (4/5) I don't eat at dive bars very often, but I'd definitely return to Loretta's for the tenderloin sandwich. It's not a dish commonly found in the PNW and the fact that Loretta's rendition is actually really good, is a boon to the city. Bathrooms - Two tiny unisex rooms

I got their Wabi Wasabi katsu burger which includes a crispy natural beef katsu topped with pepperjack cheese, wasabi mayo and tonkatsu sauce. It has a hint of spiciness which I enjoyed. The katsu was moist and fried perfectly. All their burgers come by default with pickles, red onion, tomatoes, and lots of shredded cabbage. I got it without tomatoes and it was perfect for me. Everyone enjoyed their katsu burger. Besides their delicious katsu burger I also have tried their fries and wasabi coleslaw. They have different versions of their fries, including nori fries. I got the regular sea salt fries with a wasabi aioli. It was pretty good. The wasabi coleslaw is probably the only thing I wouldn't get again. I did like that it had edamame in it but I didn't taste any wasabi. I also didn't like that it had bell peppers in it. The burgers took some times to make but it was well worth it. This location is pretty large and has plenty of places to sit and eat. They also have their own lot so parking was easy. If you are looking for an affordable Japanese fusion spot then this is definitely it. I would come back again and again when I visit Seattle.
