This is my favorite matcha spot in the IE! I always get the Mont Creme Matcha. It's the perfect mix of nutty and creamy and 5/5 stars because it's always consistent. I've been on an espresso tonic craze right now and if that's what you're looking for, their orange espresso tonic does the job! I visited Mont Coffee on a Sunday morning. The place was pretty active, with a line of 15+ people, but it was moving relatively quickly. Parking was easy. I want to acknowledge all the staff, as they were polite and worked fast the whole time I was there! The interior is wonderful and an ideal place to work or catch up with friends, though seating may be scarce and/or uncomfortable. Half of their chairs are backless barstools, while half of their general seating is against a wall. I tried the Banana Cream Matcha, and in one word, it was... scrumptious. I got my drink shortly after ordering, which was impressive considering how busy it was. There was a good balance between the matcha and the banana cream. Second time visiting this place after 4 weeks. I got hot matcha latte with oatmilk again, but it was very watery this time. I could barely taste the matcha flavor. It's very sad to see the drastic quality difference within a month. I would give the drinks 3.5/5 since their coffee still tastes the same as before. However, their matcha is not outstanding. I was really excited to try this place BUT unfortunately there are no dairy free cold foam options here. If you have a dairy sensitivity/allergy, don't expect them to have any trendy matcha cold foam drinks. I came here wanting to try their signature cream-top matcha latte or double matcha latte. I saw that they use Rocky's Matcha which was one of the main reasons I wanted to try this place. The cashier informed me that they did not have any dairy-free cream top options for matcha lattes and wanted me to try the New Orleans but it was coffee-based and I came in for their matcha. She also told me they couldn't even make the double matcha without using milk. I ended up ordering the matcha latte with almond milk and it was okay. (FYI there's also a 50¢ up-charge for using alternative milk.) If I had known they didn't have matcha cold foam, I would've just purchased a matcha tin and made this at home. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of dairy-free cold foam options. It's 2026, there's no excuse for not being allergy-friendly with trendy drinks. I understand this business is still "soft opening" but they really need to consider expanding their menu to cater to people that have milk allergies or vegan. read more

You can taste a bit of sourness from the beans. The cream top adds sweetness so definitely mix it well for a better balance. Come in for the coffee, leave with a bag of salt bread. Seems like in the past month, about three new coffee shops have taken root in Chino Hills and opened its doors to the public, and Mont Coffee is proudly making its mark as part of the holy trifecta. Got the New Orleans signature for myself and some other baked goods. Had our toddler w us and they mentioned kids get a free drink! Score. Settled down at a table and a minute later, the nice cashier lets me know a fresh new batch of salt bread is out. They give me one without having to wait in the long line (pay later). I'm so happy Chino Hills is expanding their collection of cafes! Mont Coffee took over the previous Gong Cha and made the space more lovely. Music inside is pretty loud but they have outdoor seating as well. The double matcha was good but not as strong as I would have liked. The cup size is also on the smaller side and for the price I'm paying, I'd rather make the trip to OC.
