In addition to being an excellent wine/cocktail bar, this nicely appointed location offers some of the finest little dinners that you could ever ask for! Here, you can enjoy an appetizer of deviled eggs topped with juicy beef brisket! You can sip excellent California wines with charcuterie, slowly savor a smoked salmon tower, or be tempted by duck with apples. There are beef dishes, also...and desserts! Seating is at and around the long, inviting bar, or off to the side. There is an area for parties and events, and entertainment is offered seasonally. They also cater events! Parking can be tight and is both on street and in a lot behind the business. This is a gem of a bar/restaurant where you feel comfortable and catered to. One of our favorite places! read more

Best Morris has to offer these California girls. Stopped here with my daughter after a morning hike at starved rock for lunch. Ordered the red wine flight, custom charcuterie board, pasta fregola salad, apple walnut salad, Shirley temple (my 21year old forgot her ID), and shared a Margarita flatbread. The wines were nice, not too complex, but nice enough for lunch. The board was phenomenal, the pasta salad exquisite, and the flatbread was very tasty. They make their own grenadine in house, making for a special Shirley temple. The apple walnut salad had far more iceberg lettuce than I'm used to in a mixed green salad. The chef actually served the food direct to table which added a special touch to the experience. We are pleased. If you're in Morris and want to step it up, step into Montage and enjoy the patio when the weather is perfect like early September. read more

I went here for the first time to check it out and also see a friend perform. The ambiance is great: great wines, fantastic small plates of food, and live music. I had a gin martini (ahem...two) and the short rib bao plate. Everything was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful albeit in the weeds and a little disorganized. That didn't affect the service through. I totally recommend this place for a great cocktail, relaxing atmosphere, and a snack. read more

I worked with Michelle and Jessica to help plan for an engagement party that didn't have an exact hard head count. They were fantastic to work with, flexible, and really helped make our day special and enjoyable. The back room was was the perfect space for people to mingle and sit if they wished. The food was pretty good. Service was excellent. Personally didn't like the barbecue bao and the tuna bao I didn't like (the fish tasted yucky) although my husband liked it? So it was personal preference I guess. I always get raw tuna though! The tuna protein bowl was amazing! The tuna tasted just fine in that. The espresso martini was great, and well as the old fashion. Charcuterie was not what I was expecting for 20.00. 5 rather small pieces of three types of cheese. Crostini, cracker, Jalapeño jelly, nuts, stone mustard. This restaurant has some serious work to do if they want their menu to command the prices set. We dined here for lunch and looked forward to the dishes ordered, until they placed the food on our table. Someone in our party ordered the "protein bowl" which was advertised as grilled chicken. The dish put in front of them contained anemic grey chicken chunks that were clearly pre-cooked and came out of a bag - a far cry from grilled chicken. Another person had the "pig in fig" grilled cheese, which again, contained thin, pre-cooked bacon, a small amount of cheese and was overall nothing to write home about. Our total bill was $57.00 (we had no alcohol) and we all left feeling disappointed in what we got for our money. The staff was nice, but not very helpful as to recommendations. When asked "what do you recommend" she replied, "it's all good". The atmosphere is nice, cute patio. If you're just going for drinks and maybe an appetizer board, surely stop by, but don't expect to have a fulfilling meal. read more

I stopped at Montage Saturday with my friend to have a glass of wine after shopping. I have been here many times before and always had excellent service but not Saturday, we sat down and the young girl gave us water we looked at menu and decided on the 2 glasses of wine we were ordering the bartender did acknowledge us 2 or 3 times even asked what we would like we ordered and never received so we left our water and walked out!!! My unique experience with this establishment was next level. Unfamiliar geographically as an out of town patron, I consulted Yelp to locate a possible source who might be able to provide an out of the box, last minute request to prepare something to be sent to a local funeral home for a wake. The review, menu and website were so impressive, I picked up the phone and gave it a shot. In less than 24 hours, Jessica went to incredible efforts to determine what they might be able to do and what would be appropriate. The communications were next level. She just went above and beyond; her exceptional service alone is motivation for us to take a long drive and patronize Montage. The charcuterie package put together and ultimately delivered within hours of ordering- was impressive, appreciated and enjoyed. Well worth it. The type of quality and service received was most remarkable- given the tremendous challenges this industry continues to face on the daily... especially the last few years. This is our third time here. We've given Montage and the waitresses the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Our food for a party of 7 came out over a 30 min span of time. Food was wrong and service was incredibly poor. We love to support local businesses but when there are so many great ones around we won't chose somewhere with poor service. read more

I have been entranced by all of the amazing social post that they do, that I have been planning to come here for some time now, I finally was able to come this past Saturday night and it was well worth it! The Apple Brandy Old Fashioned was hands down one of the best Old Fashioned's I have ever had; a perfect blend of delicious and season flavors. The vibe is prefect for anyone, but it is great that such a sophisticated non pretentious place can exist anywhere, it is certainly worth the visit as I sure you, you will want to come back for more good times and memories to be made. I only discovered Montage a couple of weeks ago, and have already been back several times. I've been in now for a tasting, a couple of times to purchase bottled wine, and we were there last night just to enjoy a couple of glasses before dinner. The service is always helpful and friendly, the selection is nice, and they are generous with letting you try stuff that is opened behind the counter. Because of how impressed I was with the service and personal touch, I even signed up for their wine club. This gives you free tastings, discounts on purchases and corking fees, and a free bottle of wine monthly. This is obviously a great stop for someone who really likes wine, but I think because the staff is so helpful it'd also be a good place for someone with an interest in wine buy little experience in choosing or tasting wines.
