This place really ruined any chance of any other macaroons standing a chance. They are pricey but it's 100% worth it. Service was quick, it's a tiny place inside but there's outdoor seating. We ordered a dozen for $40 and two coffees..by the time we left, my husband had inhaled about 5 macaroons already. The shell of the macaroon just melts in your mouth. The filling was perfect to each label flavor. We can't wait to visit again.

Although the macarons were delicious, the customer service was far from it. We came maybe 30 minutes before closing, and she was probably irritated that more people came, because it really showed, in her face expression, the tone of her voice, and body language. Who would want that kind of service?? And should we want to return, and be treated like we were an inconvenience. We never felt so unwelcomed. This isn't just my opinion, my whole family felt the same way. It's just so sad because good products was ruined by such terrible customer service. Wouldn't recommend people to come here, specially at the end of the day. You'll just be disappointed by the girl who clearly doesn't want to help you.

It's also a nice way to experience a Michelin one-star restaurant without committing to a full dinner. The biggest highlight here is really the view. If possible, try to reserve a seat on the outdoor terrace. From there you get a direct panoramic view over Napa Valley. On a nice day, sitting outside with the sun, vineyards, and rolling hills in front of you feels incredibly relaxing. Even just slowly enjoying lunch while looking out over the valley already makes the experience worthwhile. As for the food, it's very much in line with what you'd expect from a Michelin one-star restaurant. The presentation is elegant and the flavors are refined. It's not heavy or overly bold; instead, the dishes focus more on balance and highlighting the quality of the ingredients. Nothing felt overly flashy, but the execution across the board was very solid and well thought out. The lunch prix fixe is especially worth considering. Compared to dinner, the price is much more reasonable while still giving you a good sense of the restaurant's cooking style and overall quality. If you're already planning a trip to Napa Valley, stopping here for lunch can make the whole outing feel a bit more special. Service was also excellent--professional but not overly formal. The pacing of the meal felt comfortable, never rushed but also not slow. Overall, this place is really about the combination of food and scenery. The dishes alone might not be the most mind-blowing in Napa, but when you add the terrace view overlooking the valley, the whole experience becomes memorable. If you want a relaxed way to try a Michelin one-star restaurant without the full dinner price tag, lunch here is a great option.

From valet parking to tea and latte towards the end of the meal, this experience was one of a kind! This place had all the charm of a beautiful restaurant nestled in a beautiful place in Europe. Napa's beauty shines through when it pours and the restaurant at Auberge du Soleil just adds more charm to it's beauty. I could not get enough of their bloody mary and kept it coming. Please note that only one drink is included in the brunch so anything extra or off the brunch menu would be changeable. Aurko opted for their grapefruit mimosa and loved it too! The housemade pastries, artisinal bread and muffins were included in the sunday brunch and on the house. We definitely asked them to fill up the basket the second time as the lemon curd and blueberry muffins were out of this world! To begin with, we both opted for the oysters. 6 oysters per person served with ginger mignonette- the perfect starter. We love fresh oysters and they were perfect. We also asked for an ala carte menu to order some more items and ordered 6 more oysters for the table. We also ordered some fried crispy calamari. It was plentiful and delicious. Very light batter and exceptional flavor! For the mains, my husband opted for the seared yellowfin tuna and I chose the sonoma chicken. Our entrees were amazing! The sides were delicious! We both chose housemade malekula island vanuatu chocolate creameux and it was FANTASTIC! The passionfruit puree and the muscovado ice cream brought all the flavors together in a medley of sweet symphony in my mouth! We both ordered tea and latte (not included in the brunch) and they were both delicious. Aurko ordered the barley tea and my latte was just perfect! My goodness this was a BEAUTIFUL experience! We had asked for a window seat but we were seated by the fireplace and it was just amazing! The view was better from sitting a little back. Front row seat and you first look at the spots on the glass and then the view tbh. This was an experience I would go for again. We were treated with love and kindness and we were given exceptionally good service. The head server was John or Jake. I'm sorry I don't remember his name but he was very very sweet. He's the one who first greeted the guests on every table and gave them menus. He was knowledgeable and amazing! I cannot wait to come back with my love and enjoy beautiful Napa from the eyes of the restaurant at Auberge du Soleil

The reason for my review is because of the cleaning procedure. We had a two top by the row of cushioned bench sitting by the bakery counter. One of the employees (who was nice but) was vigorously sweeping all the crumbs on the floor. They were flying in our direction and I was dodging the debris so my shoes wouldn't get hit, which was unsettling. The kicker was she then took that same broom she was sweeping the floor with and started vigorously sweeping off the crumbs on "the cushions" where people sit!! That grossed me out :( A clean warm towel to wipe the seating down would be more appropriate.

My first time at Bouchon was for a 1:1 celebratory dinner on Mom's birthday on Friday, December 23,…read more2022. Mom had visited here years before and wanted to return. The fact that she wanted come back was an indicator that this restaurant would be a good experience as Mom has very high standards. According to Anthony Bourdain, "A bouchon is a uniquely Lyonnaise institution, a casual, laid-back kind of a pub/bistro with a limited, usually old-school menu and always, always an unpretentious vibe. People come here to unwind, to relax, and to eat with abandon." Bouchon is chef Thomas Keller's (The French Laundry) heartfelt homage to the traditional French bistro in Napa Valley's charming 1.5 square mile town of Yountville. Located across the street from V Marketplace on Washington Street, we easily found free parking in the lot adjacent to the market. The restaurant is housed in a cozy red building that sits right next door to its sibling bakery. Decorated with whites, reds and marble tones, the velvet banquette seating and polished brass accents pop out through the wood furnishings and mosaic floor design. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The place was buzzing with almost every table occupied in the tightly-seated dining room. The seasons dictate what's on offer at Bouchon. The menu features a variety of traditional French dishes that perfectly highlight the essence of bistro dining. Upon seating, we were served a complimentary ramekin of pistachios alongside some butter and pain d'épi, the classic "stalk of wheat" variation on the classic baguette. Below are what we ordered: Escargots de Bourgogne ($19.75) - Six Burgundy snails cooked in parsley-garlic butter, each topped with Bouchon Bakery's puff pastry, were all absolute perfection, as expected. Soupe à l'Oignon ($19.75) - A true test of a French bistro is its French onion soup, and Bouchon's comforting, piping hot bowl of caramelized sweet onions, savoury beef jus, topped with country bread and melted Comté cheese, did not disappoint. Served in a proper vessel? Yes. Baked with a toasted baguette slice and ooey, gooey cheese topper? Check. The flavour of the soup base was also richly robust. I couldn't decide between the Saumon Poêlé ($38.00) and the Steak Frites ($47.50). Since our waiter said that I could have a side of the sauce au poivre from the Poitrine de Boeuf au Poivre ($45.00) with the Steak Frites, I had to go this route as it's one of my favourites. No regrets at all on my choice; I savoured every bite of the delicious pan-seared prime flat iron steak topped with maitre d'hôtel butter and side of crispy French fries. The additional sauce au poivre was the cherry on top. Steak Frites truly is the quintessential bistro entrée and Bouchon's was excellent. Service was great. As a sweet birthday gift, Mom was given a pack of chocolate brownies, served on a plate alongside a lit candle to blow and make a wish. Dinner was remarkable. I'm not surprised that Mom chose to return here for her birthday dinner. I loved Bouchon so much that it's now my favourite restaurant in Napa Valley. Yes, I was able to decide this from my first visit. I most definitely will return. It's a must!

I will start with the good news. Our server was really very good. Very attentive very friendly wanted to make sure that the dinner was excellent she really did care and we appreciate that. my entree, which was a special I believe, the chicken with morel mushrooms, was outstanding I loved it. Unfortunately the remaining feedback is less positive. We got two appetizers, one was on the menu, goat cheese and duck. It was very unusual and ok. We also got a special appetizer which was mini ravioli with escargot in a cream sauce. Super heavy but tasty and enjoyable. We also got the coq au vin. She got this the last time we were there and didn't enjoy it at all but was hopeful that years later all the corrections were needed to make this a special dish. Unfortunately it was anything but that. It had many different things in it that we've never seen before in that dish. Probably one of the biggest problems with this dish is everything look the same you didn't know what you were eating. It had decent flavor but from a texture and aesthetic perspective it missed the mark completely. Super disappointing. This is a very loud and crowded venue and just not our thing. I I doubt we will give it another opportunity.
