This one star review will be based on server alone. This is my 1st time visiting this location, I placed my order and as an afterthought decided to order a side order of shrimps. I told the server and she said: "oh shoot" and looked annoyed at my last moment request. This is the 1st time I witness a server getting upset with client for ordering MORE food from a menu. Mickey and I are very disappointed!! NOTE the food presentation was not bad, but some of my fries are soggy due to the moisture of the meat, but the ones I was able to eat had great flavor. Meat texture was perfect! COOKED TO PERFECTION. Shrimps had ZERO flavor! I have no comments on the beans... nothing good/ nothing bad to say about them! I do not recommend this location!! read more

Liked it so much on our first visit we went back. Service was excellent and food was great and well priced.

Not wheelchair accesable, the push button outside doesn't work. There is no clear path for a wheelchair to get to the bathroom inconvience other guests to move, no pushbutton entry, stalls do not meet code for accesable bathrooms. All to. Bad the staff is friendly. After bringing this to there attention many times and no attempt at resolution I emailed the manager. After no response I contacted Head office the manager called 1st 2 sentences I never got the email it was missing a letter, 2nd statement it is a tricky button you have to push it just right. At that point I let the manager know that I do not appreciate his suggesting I wasn't using the button correctly and that I wanted to speak with the regional manager. wow way to be accessible. Amendment after speaking with regional manager who listened the front entrance button has been fixed. The bathroom will have to wait for the remodel in 2025. Let's hope read more

I visited Montana's with my boyfriend for lunch on Valentine's Day. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all! We ordered the KaPow Shrimp as an appetizer for $13, really tasty actually. He ordered the Bacon Mac n' Cheese for $15 and I got the Chicken Waffle Sandwich for $14. We were both pleased with our meals. The food was tasty and the service was good. A few reasons for 3 stars instead of 5: - The food was good, not fantastic - Their seating is uncomfortable - Nothing too special about Montana's; just your typical pub. Would I return? What a disaster. The waitress who delivered our drinks offered to take our order and I ordered a bison burger with cheese and bacon and was upsold to get poutine as a side. My daughter ordered a burger with avacado and bacon and got a cheese burger with avacado. I got what tasted like a plain cheese burger sans bacon and just plain fries. My daughter got a cheeseburger with avacado. Our waitress appeared for only the second time of the evening right after our food showed up so we told her that my daughter didn't like cheese and didn't get any bacon. I didn't bother to say anything about my meal. My daughter's burger came back about 10 minutes later with just avacado. This is our second time at Montana's where a manager had to feel compelled to give us a free dessert when all we really wanted was to get what we ordered. $85 for 4 people (1 child). Also, the all-u-can-eat ribs promotion sounded great until I heard the price: $35! Twice the price of a regular order. Get a grip! We're done with Montana's. read more

Group of 6 of us went for dinner there Monday August 16th. Here's a list of problems in no particular order; VERY SLOOOOOW service, 1 salad never showed up, other salad had no dressing, no cutlery for 1 customer even after waiter knew it was missing, drinks ordered that never appeared, BLAH, BLAH, on, and on it went, ad nauseum. Waiters kept making excuses and apologizing until I had to tell him to please stop it. One customers rib was burnt black. All this, and it was a birthday celebration for one of us. Honestly, it's probably the best burger that I've had in a long time! I had the "build your own" sirloin burger with the great Canadian toppings which include, Peameal bacon, Colby cheese, apple butter BBQ sauce and mayo. My girlfriend had the Turkey Club and said it was amazing, I was enjoying my burger too much to try a bite though. The service is also very good! Our visit started off positively. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait but we were called after waiting for maybe 10 minutes. Otherwise our visit was average at best. The sangria I ordered was delicious but had so many little berry bits my straw was always clogged. Our spinach dip was delicious. The pits were hot and the dip came straight from the oven and the cheese was nice and bubbly. The portion size was ideal for two people. My burger wasn't spectacular. It wasn't hot but it wasn't cold either. The size of the burger itself was great, the toppings were fresh and the fries were delicious(but cold). I suspect our food sat at the pickup window for a while. The donuts we had for dessert were magical. What isn't there to love about fresh, hot powdered donuts with caramel sauce to dip them in. They were awesome. Our server forgot about us for the most part. My boyfriend made the comment that we hadn't seen our waitress in a while. Went in for the first time after checking out their online menu. Our waiter was very prompt and friendly the whole time, brought us everything we needed and more without having to ask(more drinks or cream for the coffee). Ordered the pulled pork nachos and wow! For the price they gave us 2 layers of cheese, and a ton of toppings throughout it. Not just a small lump on top of the chips(which were multicoloured). We also got the fire cracker burger and BBQ chicken and they were more than enough for both of us that we took leftovers of everything home. Even when we accidentally forgot our leftovers while going to car, our waiter was nice enough to holler at us and give them to us instead of trashing them. Definitely will go back many times! Way better than the Kelsey's which is right nearby and is awful compared to it(in service, price and food). read more

This is our favorite franchise restaurants in Canada, they have the best ribs I have ever tasted. The rest of the menu is diverse and you cant really pick something bad..the corn bread is a must try as well! For dessert the deep fried cheesecake is amazing, they have other desserts like Mile High Mud pie, and apple cobbler. This specific establishment is wall managed by a proactive and friendly General Manager who you see interacting with the customers and keeping everyone happy. read more

We took our family out to dinner last night along with another family. Upon ordering our beverages, the server brought a tray of drinks over and as she put it down on the table, one of the drinks spilled over and soaked my 8 year old daughters pants. She apologized numerous times and brought her a towel to dry off her pants. She cleaned up the mess and offered my daughter an ice cream or wagon wheel for her troubles (before supper), we declined as she should eat her supper first and she was to get one with her meal anyhow after supper. We mentioned that two of our guests were there celebrating dinners and she forgot to do the typical celebration that many others in the restaurant got. Plus a few of our meals were messed up. Not the best experience at all. I expected that my daughters meal should have been compensated for the lap full of drink and ice. The food is mediocre at best. All I can say is I wish we had gone to Kelsey's, that's close by to this despicable excuse for a restaurant. I am truly shocked at how lax everyone seems to be at this restaurant. We ordered from a waitress that seemed to be "too nice" but none the less, she was the least of the problems. I ordered the peach chicken salad, my husband ordered a rib dinner. My salad was so gross I couldn't get past 2 bites, couldn't tell if it was the odd tasting "peaches" or the drizzle they were calling a dressing. It was an orange flavoured dressing, odd when u consider u are having a peach salad, but I actually thought it might b good, it wasn't. It was not made with any "love" that's for sure. The portion was off, the ingredients I felt were weird and off putting. I sent it back, and decided to try the mushroom chicken instead. While I was waiting for my meal, my husband mentioned that while his RIB was good, he expected to get at least 2 for $25! He asked the waitress she said he would have to pay an additional $6 to get another one, he agreed reluctantly, because was hungry. As I was waiting for my meal I was looking around at the place and such to pass the time and noticed the place is totally unkept! My husband had to use the bathroom as soon as we got there( we were travelling) he comes back to the table and said that the men's bathroom was trashed, there was water all over the floor, the stench of sewage was so intense he couldn't even stay in there ! He told a waitress that he needed to use another bathroom, that he would leave if he needed to go back in there, they said he could use the women's while they kept watch outside! Unfortunately I had to use the facilities, the disgusting, sickening stench coming from the men's was so bad I could smell it about 3 tables away! I feel terrible or those customers! Anyway, the ladies bathroom was not a treat either, there was a mystery goop on the handle and the door that I unfortunately got all over my hand as I opened the stall door! The stink from the men's was honestly enough to make me puke! Dust on the window sills, etc.the creme de la creme was the huge spider that crawled across the door jam by the entrance, which my hubby n I both witnessed, we mentioned it to the waitress, who was also freaked out at the idea,but never saw it. After seeing this I decided that I didn't want to eat anymore. I cancelled my order, explained that with all of these issues I couldn't eat anything anymore! A "manager"?? Came over after learning this to see what was going on, my husband and I explained all of the issues we had experienced, and that we just wanted to go. My husband asked for the bill, the ribs weren't terrible and he wanted to give the waitress a tip as it wasn't her fault. The manager seemed defensive and basically said oh ya we got a plumber to fix it everything is fine! My hubby said shitty water all over the floor is not fine! I was visiting my parents and we decided to try Montana's for lunch. First off, there was only one other table there even though it was only 1:00 and service was EXTREMELY slow. Good thing they had crayons and paper on the table to keep us occupied. I ordered an iced tea which was served in a mason jar... -.- I ordered the Montana's steak sandwich with poutine-style fries. The sandwich was very good, but what they served on the side was a far cry from poutine. It was fries and gravy with pre-shredded Kraft cheese on top. The gross kind kind that is coated in powder. Poutine is supposed to be cheese curds. I lived in Quebec for 3 years and was excited when I was given the option to poutine my fries, the first time I've been offered this since moving to Ontario. What a disappointment. :( The fries were also frozen fries. You would think in a steakhouse they would make their own fries... My mother ordered the same as me minus the poutine. She enjoyed the sandwich as well, but gave the frozen fries to my father. My father had the soup, salad, sandwich combo. The soup was obviously from a can and was super salty. Someone should really tell the owners that they would save a ton of money if they made their own soup, fries, and even if they bought blocks of cheese and shredded it themselves.
