Still my go-to spot for Long Island Iced Teas I come usually when it's quieter in the late afternoon, and have a quick lunch. The long island is great just regular but I love it stronger as a double, and this time I had the antojitos. My friend got the buttermilk fried chicken, substituted salad for the peas/beans, and I got to eat some of it. I like how consistent this location is. From the strength and mix of the long island to the crispiness of the buttermilk fried chicken, it's solid quality every time. The cornbread is crisp and warm, the balsamic salad is tangy and balances the meal well. One of those great combinations where every part of the meal feels and tastes different. Service was fantastic from our server Janet, who explained menu options to us and had a great sense of humour. Our food came out quickly, there was soft music in the background, and it's a great spot to actually have a conversation. I highly recommend the antojitos as they are delicious, but also generous with the cheese so its both creamy and highly filling. Pairs fantastic with cocktails to boot. Portion sizes for the apps and entrees are great, and really fantastic food from everything I've tried so far. The service is great here. However we went on Friday at 7 pm and they were sold out of wings (which is one of their signature dishes so I found this so weird) and guacamole. At 7 pm. She then told us they have wings on reserve and went to check if we had any and they were going to take our orders? Not the people in the restaurant. We then ordered the fajitas and after they came out she said oh they forgot the guac and then came back and told us they were sold out. They didn't even offer us anything to compensate. Had dinner at Montana's BBQ tonight with my mom and sister. We are here from California so decided to try Montana's. The hostess was nice (can't remember her name tho). Melinda was our waitress and she was amazing! She was very friendly and funny! Her service was outstanding! Our food was great. We started with fried pickles...yummmmm! Ordered Montana's two ppl ribs combo yesterday from Uber eats with the spinach cheese dip appetizers and it came out soooo tasty. The delivery was impeccable, the packing was very neat and presentable, as well as COVID safe. The ribs were very well made and juicy, the sides were delicious as well got the coleslaw and the baked potato. The Ribs were decent, had a huge sauce selection and extra sauce on the table for more options! The 1/2 chicken wings was deft a deal, since we got 16 wings for a little over $10 and they tasted good! The appetizer promo was also yum and a good deal, since you could try different apps! A nice place for a dine out with your loved one or friends. The atmosphere is nice, warm, cozy and clean. The servers are great... helpful and service with a smile. We had Fire Grilled Top Sirloin - medium-rare and Sizzling Mushroom. The steak is really tender and good piece of beef. I would definitely give it a 5 star if it was a bit more juicy. Went here for my birthday and had a large group of people. Our server was such a gem. So patient and kind. Food was 10 out of 10!

Gotta say this was the worst service I've had in a long time. Initially things went well we were greeted politely and seated promptly. Our server, Zach, came right away and took our drink order and we seemed to have a good rapport. Then it all went south. The drinks, 2 draft beer, took a long time to come and then when they did we ordered our appie and I thought that given the time it was taking this person to get things done we'd better order our mains. Mistake number one. We waited a good half hour and there was no sign of our server or our appie. We were toward the end of our beer with no offer to supply a second or any sign of an appie. I was under the impression he'd decided to take a break (at our expense). Suddenly the server appeared with our mains, did not supply any cutlery to eat with and when reminded about the appie he appeared flustered and hurried away. Then we sat wondering if he'd gone to get us some cutlery. Nope not happening. I went up to the reception desk and asked if we could have cutlery and told them to cancel the appie. They did that but basically our server ghosted us after that. We decided to pay by the app as our server was not reappearing and we specifically did not want to tip, why would we? To our surprise we found the app had added a 15% tip. That's just no cool. The food was ok but my wife's meal was really not what she ordered but by that time we just wanted to eat and flee. I would say this young server was either very new or just lacked a lot of training. A very poor experience over all and has made me think twice about going to any other Montanas again read more

After a very trying day, it was a relief to come to this Montana's location and just relax. We arrived just before the dinner rush and were promptly seated. Our waitress was very friendly, and helpful. I ordered the chicken tacos, which were delicious, and my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. He's quite fussy about pulled pork, and as such, I was a little surprised to hear how much he liked it. Fast service considering the time of day, good food, and a friendly, efficient waitress? Came here with my family and a couple of family friends. All together we were 8 people and 2 kids under 5. We told the host so she could set up a table for us and then she later said 10 people were not allowed to be seated and be served. We asked her why and she kept saying that it was the restaurant's policy to sit only 10 people, when we specifically told her we were 10 people and she kept refusing to set a table for us without giving us a valid reason why after I asked her multiple times. Ok as much as dislike writing bad reviews- I can't keep my mouth shut about this one. I ordered 1 pound of their wings and the pulled pork bbq sandwich. Ill start with the sandwich. The meat was cooked and seasoned well with a healthy portion of coleslaw on top. The coleslaw had definitely been dressed many hours before because it was soggy but the meat was hot and tasty. Unfortunately the roll they served it on wasn't toasted and it soaked up all the juices from the meat and coleslaw making it extremely soggy and sandy. So I'd give the sandwich a 3.5/5 because of the soggy coleslaw and bun. But the reason i have an issue with this place is the pound of wings I ordered. After eating just one I realized I had made a mistake. The meat inside was very very dark and shiny which indicates that the wings were bad to begin with. I tore another one open and it was pinkish black inside...super insanely gross. I can't imagine why they served them to me in the first place. And not that it ruined the wings...but they weren't even sauced well. I opted not to eat the rest of the wings and my stomach was in knots the rest of the day. I spent the next 24 hours on the toilet and for this reason I will not be back to Montana's...especially not for chicken wings. Ordered a 10 oz Steak Medium Rare. As I ate through it, it started with Medium Well, the middle was Medium and finally ended up at Medium Rare. Had my meal in a booth in the bar. The backing on the booths are not secured so every time someone moved on the other side, you got bumped. I had two very active individuals sitting behind me and after 15 or so good bumps, I moved to the other side of the booth. Whats disappointing is the management knows this has been going on for a while, other customers have commented on it but they have not corrected the issue. At least the beer was good. read more

We arrived around 7:00 on Saturday, and there wasn't a wait, which should have been a sign. We we're sat by the hostess, and then we sat. After 10 minutes of never being greeted by our server I went to the hostess station and told them. Then, we sat for 5 more minutes. Once the server came to the table she had NO sense of urgency. Great decor and service. I have been to several locations for this chain and the food has also been good but this time I had a salad and it was at best a 2. But the other aspects bumped up my review to a 3. Skip the extra cost avocado on the salad as it was a weird translucent greenish color. They offer beer samplers so try them first as I think a line or two was skunked. The other reviews are pretty solid so the bottom line is and I should had thought about this, don't order a salad at a BBQ joint. read more

I have always had a good experience here every time I go. Our waitress was very nice and got our drinks right away. I got the apple pecan salad. It was tasty but the apple was cut like slices you would eat on its own. Too big, should have been thinner so I could spear my fork with. After coming to this place for two years now I can honestly say that this place is a performer. It may be a chain restaurant but that isn't necessarily an entirely bad thing. Their food is great. Their choice of BBQ as well as barbecue shows a keen insight into what is unique about each that most aficionados will appreciate. Pork ribs, side as well as back, beef ribs, heck if they'd had hot links and tips I'd a soiled myself. The rub must be standard because they had a few different types of regional flavors of sauce. Their meat loaf is super as well as their steaks some might say that all of that Parmesan crust, or peppercorn spicing may merely be disguise the subpar quality of their cuts but they offer steaks seasoned with just salt and time(just like me) and both are excellent. My man ordered the 7oz hand-carved steak for $14.99, along with a side of waffle fries. You'd think from the pictures that this would be scrumptious, and from the price that this'd be a perfect deal. But his medium rare came overcooked, and I am 100% sure cooked from frozen. The steak may as well be all-Canadian, but it sure as hell isn't fresh! A lot of people shy away from complaining about such disasters and my boyfriend was ready to play around with his food and finish it somehow. But I complained to the waitress. She changed his order right away and brought him a proper medium rare within a 20 minute wait. This was expected. What was unexpected is that the manager took care of his part of the bill. As for drinks, I didn't order anything. But the guy ordered himself a country cider cocktail - sweet tart. Tasted like juice if you ask me. Rating it a 3. 3 is pretty good for Montana's. I hate to do this but I want to save others from the same fate. Let me explain how I think Montana's makes their BBQ Brisket and sauce so you can recreate it at home: 1. Go to local deli, order thinly sliced beef 2. Put beef on a plate, place in microwave until it has a dingey grey color 3. Serve with sauce made of ketchup, brown food coloring and maybe a little garlic salt for taste. I should have known better because when I entered the BBQ restaurant, there wasn't a single wiff of smoke. we checked in late to our hotel (fairfield inn) and wanted to order room service for dinner, but that wasn't available at the hotel. we drove to the strip mall across and picked montana's cookhouse out of a dozen or so restaurants, not even knowing the type of food the place was serving. when i found out that montana's cookhouse is equivalent to lucille's or wood ranch in u.s., i was relieved and excited to have "authentic/traditional" american cuisine. the menu mainly consists of all things related to bbq and southern comfort food along with the usual burger and sandwich items you see on chain restaurants. my coworker and i ordered a couple of appetizers and decided to share a large pork back ribs with texas bold sauce upon the server's recommendation. the calamari and shrimp appetizers were okay, but quite expensive for the portion size. the menu description made them sound so much better than what they really were. the pork ribs, on the other hand, surpassed my expectations. the meat was tender and the sauce was flavorful with spicy kick to it. I also loved the cornbread, although some might say it is too sweet and cakey. i admit that the food probably tasted better because i was starving, but i would go back to montana's for reliability and predictability. read more
