    Pulled pork sandwich

Had dinner at Montana's BBQ tonight with my mom and sister. We are here from California so decided to try Montana's. The hostess was nice (can't remember her name tho). Melinda was our waitress and she was amazing! She was very friendly and funny! Her service was outstanding! Our food was great. We started with fried pickles...yummmmm! I had the pulled pork sandwich that was also very good. The decor was cool and funny. We would highly recommend Montana's and you should request to be seated in Melinda's section!

Basically came on a Monday for their 1/2 price Chicken wings but, also decided to try some of their other food. The Ribs were decent, had a huge sauce selection and extra sauce on the table for more options! The 1/2 chicken wings was deft a deal, since we got 16 wings for a little over $10 and they tasted good! The appetizer promo was also yum and a good deal, since you could try different apps! Service was meh - we didnt't really get served (basically had to get our own cutlery and, our server was no where to be found). Would we come back? Possibly, if we were craving! We ordered: Rib Taster ($14.99), Chicken Wings ($11.65) & 1/2 Spinach Dip & Fry Pickles (2 apps for $10) Follow us on @cindysfood (IG) for more reviews!

I had lunch at Montana's Cookhouse. I was in the mood for pasta so ordered Baked Chicken Penne. It was delicious and I'd get it again. Sheila was my server. She was friendly and took excellent care of me.

A nice place for a dine out with your loved one or friends. The atmosphere is nice, warm, cozy and clean. The servers are great... helpful and service with a smile. We had Fire Grilled Top Sirloin - medium-rare and Sizzling Mushroom. The steak is really tender and good piece of beef. I would definitely give it a 5 star if it was a bit more juicy. Somewhat I felt the flavour was missing due to the dryness. But our overall experience was good :-)

    Delicious honey garlic wings yummmm

thank you so much sai for an amazing evening! we don't get out much and you can totally tell because we ordered a ridiculous amount of food not realizing how much it would be, but still the price was amazing for us eating ourselves into an oblivion. sai was our server and she was absolutely wonderful and I could see in her eyes that we went big with our order, but we had no idea this was Texas sized food lol. she was so friendly and the service was so fast too. the food was glorious, we will be sure to be back soon :) also made my day too saying that my step daughter looked like me and turns out she was super happy too that we all looked alike, so of course I cried a bit. thank you for making our night ;)

It's open concept, lighting feels off,…read morethe seating is very dated and feels like you're at a low tier fast-food / run down mom and pop restaurant not a steakhouse. The service is not very attentive, we were seated and told to use the qr code for the menu. We picked our items and not one waiter decide to come back to take our order. We had to flag down a waiter, to give in our order. When the food arrive, they weren't even sure if it was for our table, the staff never came back to check if everything was okay. We had to also flag them down to get take out boxes, and again for the bill. The food: the appetizer, we ordered the calamari it had good flavours and were crispy. Slighly more oily but still delicious. The jerk chicken had good flavours and was very tender. The veggie upgrade is NOT worth it and extra $3 for 5 carrots and 3 broccolis. The rib eye steak was okay, the cut is not the best. The hot stone makes the table very hot, the plate holding it was cracked and hazardous imo. Fries in general were tasty and the 3 different sauces were good. In general this place needs to step it up a little, atleast with service since it's the easiest thing to change. The decor can come after..

We were given a booth near the entrance of the restaurant, then given menus to choose our items from. We also noticed that there was a QR code on the table, in which we were able to scan and view the menu on our phones. Once we had chosen our items, we waited patiently, while admiring the music playing on the loudspeaker, and the television screens showcasing the menu items in video format. The restaurant itself was dark, with moderate lighting, and a calm ambiance. More guests started to come as we were seated, and the restaurant became busier. Since we had ordered an appetizer, we were waiting on that to arrive while watching other guests arrive. Calamari was the appetizer in which we had chosen, as we both enjoy eating it. It was a tad spicy, and didn't have a lot of sauce on the plate to dip the calamari into. However, it did have a nice kick to it, and was easily eaten by us both. We then had to wait another ten to fifteen minutes to receive only my meal, which was the hamburger with melted cheese. We would have liked to receive our meals together however, the lamb that my husband ordered took much longer to arrive. Since the lamb came about fifteen minutes after the hamburger, the kitchen provided us with a complimentary salad, which we found generous. Both the lamb and hamburger meals were well-prepared and tasty however once again, not enough dipping sauce was provided for fries, and the salad on the plate with the lamb was covered with the sauce used for the lamb. Service was great throughout the entire night, with the server coming by to check on us, and apologize for the long wait for the lamb to arrive. Overall, this restaurant had tasty food and a chic ambiance however, the prices were a little high, and some of the presentation items (lack of sauce, slow service) were a bit of a let down. However, this place definitely had a lot of options, and would surely satisfy any hungry individual looking for a well-made meal.

Menu offerings differ depending on where you're seated. The first time ever having gone, I had learned about their happy hour menu but we were seated in the dining hall and had made reservations there. The restaurant was packed! I really wanted to try their happy hour offerings and was delighted that they allowed us to, given where we were seated. Our server, Sean, was wonderful. He made our dining experience memorable. That night we ordered chili garlic shrimp, furious fries, ahi tuna tataki and received wild mushroom & goat cheese dip on the house. Everything was delicious. We all liked the shrimp, it had a kick. 3/4 liked the fries, since it contains truffle oil and gran padano, one of our party members wasn't a fan. We all enjoyed the dip and I ate the rest of the tuna tataki as part of my meal. In addition to this, we each ordered a meal. One person got the oven roasted chicken, another the prime rib, another the top sirloin and me, the mussels in white cream sauce. I was enjoying my steamed mussels until I was met with granules of sand at the very last bite. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. Another time, went back for steak, salad and escargot. The escargot was tasteless. Neither myself nor the person I was with enjoyed it. Keg makes theirs way better! Good cuts of steaks and flavours. Had the burger on one occasion when a craving struck. Sat at the bar, had a drink and people watched. Will return again. It's a convenient location and drive. Free parking in the lot next to the hotel. A high end restaurant with good service and ambiance. Lighting is at times too dim but adds to the romance, I guess.

The starter salad was a huge supper entree size plate. The choice wax garden or Cesar. You could get the French Onion soup instead. Had the main Filet Peppercorn sauce. Asked for medium rare and it was amazing but it had a little much gravy for my liking. The baked potato side was a nice side (not too big) which came with butter and sour cream versus having french fries. Veggies were a few string beans, a slice of a big carrot and a piece of red sweet pepper. The plating of such fine expensive entrees was not very sophisticated. Thought it would be plated much nicer than it did. The server was very friendly and helpful. Chefs were accommodating to special requests and the food was excellent. A nice, special occasions/ celebration restaurant. It is better than a chain restaurant.

The prices listed below reflect the regular menu, though portions at the event were likely smaller than standard service. The evening began with a beef skewer ($31), featuring cubes of barbecued beef glazed in teriyaki and topped with plenty of chives. Unfortunately, consistency was an issue. Other guests raved about how tender theirs were, while mine arrived overcooked. It wasn't inedible, but it certainly wasn't tender. One of the restaurant's newer additions is its aged fish program, so I was eager to try the dry-aged salmon ($33). Listed as a "crudo," I expected delicate slices in a citrusy sauce, but it arrived as another skewer. The texture was undeniably smooth, with the dry aging removing any chewiness, but the salmon also developed a gaminess that lingered unpleasantly. A marinade or thinner slicing might help balance things out. I'm glad their signature Caesar salad ($24) remains excellent. It's beautifully balanced with acidity, savouriness, and thoughtful touches like buttery breadcrumbs and bacon bits that aren't rock hard. It's still one of the better Caesars in the city, though tableside preparation now costs an additional $10. Fans of tartare will likely appreciate the beef tartare ($41), which is prepared traditionally with minimally dressed hand-cut beef. Personally, I wanted more contrast in texture or flavour, though tartare has never been my go-to dish. I did appreciate the accompaniments of buttery crostini and gem lettuce leaves, which offered a lighter way to enjoy it. And for fans like me, don't worry their cheese bread puffs still make an appearance (along with their take home chocolate muffins). What continues to shine at Jacobs is the steak itself. The 40-day dry aged striploin was cooked beautifully, developing a crust that locked in the juices while maintaining tenderness despite being a leaner cut. The seasoning is more restrained, which allowed the volcanic sea salt and chimichurri on the side to actually enhance the beef rather than overwhelm it. The pecorino broccolini ($22) had me almost finishing off the plate and is such a nice accompaniment with the rich beef. The only disappointment was the duck fat fries ($21), which arrived lukewarm and slightly stale, likely a casualty of serving a packed dining room. Dessert ended the evening on a high note. The crème brulee ($21) was fantastic with visible vanilla bean specks throughout the silky custard. The sugar topping was thin and delicate, avoiding that overly sweet crunch some versions suffer from. Served alongside a sizeable chocolate biscotti and a fragrant orange shortbread cookie, it's easily large enough to share. With the expanded dining room, the front-of-house team has clearly grown as well. The staff is younger and fresher-faced, so any old-school steakhouse stuffiness has largely disappeared. More importantly, the service remains polished and attentive, and we were well taken care of throughout the evening.
