This has to be one of the best TAKE OUT places I've had in awhile around dumfries area. Their customer service was on point, I called first to make a pick up then switched it to delivery. Not a big price difference which was good. They said it would take 45 mins to get to my house it only took 30 and the food was nice and hot. I got general tso chicken, sweet sour chicken, egg rolls and sugar donuts. Everything taste so good the general tsos didn't have all that breading that most carry outs have and it was the perfect taste between sweet an spicy The egg rolls were crispy on the outside an soft on the inside and the donuts weren't greasy. My wife and I always order Sesame Chicken to go. What amazes us is the size. The order is enough for four meals ... I repeat ... 4 meals. My expectations were increased when I read they were voted in the 'Top 100' of Chinese Take Out restaurants in the US. That's quite a list to make and I would say they are worthy. Excellent rice, you can tell alot about a chinese restaurant with the care they give to properly cooked rice; this was really quite good. The shrimp , beef and chicken were all fresh and flavorful. Two gals manning the phone and prepping the orders. They were really vusy on a Labor Day evening. My only complaint was the size of the spring rolls, they were mini-sized. Broccoli was over cooked, carrots were good & I'm not sure what was going on with the beef, it was a weird texture & flavorless. The brown sauce didn't have much flavor either. the rice is weird too. IDK if it's supposed to be fried rice but I found 1 pea in it and have no idea what made it the yellow/orange color but it wasn't fried rice. The reason I am giving them only 3 stars is because within the past three years their prices keep increasing and their threshold for their free items has also gone up. We used to get takeout from them at least twice a month, but now its more infrequent because of the prices. I think we have been maybe once in the past three months. If you stay away from the sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken you will not be disappointed in taste, only disappointed in price. Our family favorites are the beef and broccoli, eggplant and tofu in garlic sauce, moo shi pork, roast pork w/ snow peas and water chestnut, and hot and sour soup.
