Spend more, get something free. I chose chicken fried rice. Select white or fried rice with any entree. Total around $45.00.

Delicious hot szechuan and Cantonese dishes. Fast service, no messing around. I've been here a couple of times and always get quick, courteous phone service. The food is always ready when I arrive. The service at pickup is just as professional. I tried to make small talk, wish Gong Xi Fa Cai... nothing. I left a small tip and was thanked. The food is the same nostalgic, delicious, Americanized version of Chinese dishes that we all love. In recent years, restaurants have somehow altered the flavor and consistency of some dishes, but this restaurant has not. It remains as delicious and flavorful as it has in the decades America has had Chinese restaurants. You will find that the cluster of vehicles sitting in the lot are usually for pickup orders at this restaurant. They keep it simple, take out only. They also offer free items/ dishes that increase in value as you buy more in tiers (i.e., free chicken fried rice with a purchase of $40.) The food is seasoned just right, and the portions are appropriate. + customer service + decent portions + incentives for the amount ordered + plaza parking + decent hours + delicious food + adequate quantity reflects increased prices

Located in the plaza behind the Sheetz, this is a small take out and delivery shop (no dining in) location. The hot and sour soup had a good fill of mushrooms and bamboo, not quite sour enough but good and hot. The General Cho's chicken wings were $8 but a nice surprise with a lot of garlic and sauce, a ton of sauce in a foil wrap which kept it easier to stay hot. The beef ho fun was greasy and a lot of garlic, but when hot was a nice treat, lots of scallions and onion to give flavor. Overall a good filling place but be prepared for a garlic overload. They are very generous there. (For the record, I love garlic.)

As one of my favorite Szechuan restaurants in Fairfax Co. is no longer making the same delicious Spicy Wonton, I did my search on Yelp as usual and found this place with average rating of 4.5 with 68 reviews. This method would work well before but not this time. Despite the many very high ratings, I was not satisfied with the outcome. :/ Very strange. I ordered three items. Spicy Wonton Pan Fried Noodle with Seafood Yang Zhou Fried Rice Spicy Wonton looked good but the sauce was all chili oil and did not have any flavor. Pan Fried Noodle with Seafood was okay. It tasted just like any other Pan Fried noodle with Seafood. Yang Zhou Fried Rice looked okay but the pork in the rice was all fat and skin part. The rice did not have flavor either. For a place with only one cook (or two?) the food is cooked unbelievably fast. And the portion is generous. But quality wise, no. I will continue my search for good Spicy Wonton.

***THIS PLACE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH STARS*** Seriously.... there is NO REASON haters give this place less than 4 stars... The low reviews (to this date/point) aren't even seriously legit! Giving a 1 star review because you didn't like the edamame?!? PLEASE! Another 1 star review advises how bad their crab ragoon is... If you want American fried food, go to the Sheetz in the parking lot or McD's across the street! BUT - If you want SERIOUSLY AMAZING Szechuan Eats - THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Their cumin items (Cumin Chicken, Cumin Beef or Cumin Flounder) are OUTSTANDING! Where is there another Chinese restaurant outside of Annandale or Rockville that has this many wontons/dumplings on the menu?? They do serve the American Chinese food too and they do an excellent job with it (General Tso's, Beef or Chicken & Broccoli, etc). The chef here is really amazing and I love spending time inside their carryout joint, waiting for my order as it gives me a chance to watch the AMAZING chef here practicing his craft. The Sous-Chef chopping & dropping and prepping for Chef. The way the three of them (the young girl up front too) putting together orders with care. It's truly the BEST Chinese I've ever had, whether delivered, carried-out or eating in (did this several times before Covid)... these folks are the BEST you'll get within 20 miles of this area!!!! So, stop with the basic-Karen 1 or 2 stars without justification!

A solid 3 1/2 star local Chinese take-out spot. Highly recommend for your replacement Christmas dinner. They have some tables inside but we always take out. It's not a date night place but it is good to scratch that flavor itch. This is our go-to place in Woodbridge. We ordered crispy beef, General Tso's chicken, vegetable spring rolls, and crab Rangoon for $43. Don't look at the menu picture on Yelp, the coupon is for $45 and over now. The general Tso's was good, the crispy beef can be a little chewy but this is definitely one of my go-to dishes here! Good flavor.

V5. Eggplant in Hot Garlic Sauce
    Rebecca G.

Wow! So I don't usually eat Chinese food in NOVA. However, with the recommendation from TimNail, I tried this place. I ordered the eggplant in hot garlic sauce. It came with white rice. The sauce is spicy and sweet and the eggplant is cooked to perfection. Plus for what I paid, I have lunch for two days. I can't wait to try other menu items!

They only have sodas to drink, which is a bummer. Second, they label several food items as "spicy" when "tangy" would be a better choice of word. I always order General Tsos chicken when I am trying a Chinese place for the first time. Theirs is fine, with a solid taste, but a little drier than I like. I also tried their spicy shredded beef, and it wasn't spicy at all (see my above comment). Flavor-wise, it was a bit too tomato-y for me. Also, the ratio of onions to beef was too high. All in all, not a bad place to order Chinese from, but not the best around.

We chose a couple of dim sum items and then ordered the rest off the menu. Cart food: shrimp dumplings were amazing, using whole shrimp in the dumpling, pork dumpling was hot and good. Our group of five sampled a great variety from the menu, including the Hot & Numbing Tofu Skin, Crab Roe Soup Dumplings, Cucumber Salad, Lettuce Wraps, Cumin Fish, Stir-Fried Beef Tenderloin, Crispy Pork Ribs with Scallion Crisps and Mixed Grain & Purple Rice, Stir-Fried Beef with Chilies, and Kung Pao Chicken with white rice. The standout for me was the cumin fish. It was fried perfectly--crispy without being greasy--and the cumin added great flavor without overpowering the dish. The crispy pork ribs lived up to their name and had a nice kick of spice. The cucumber salad packed a serious garlic punch, which I really enjoyed. The Hot & Numbing Tofu Skin was something completely different from what I expected. It's sliced into long ribbons that resemble noodles or pasta. The flavor was excellent, although the texture took some getting used to. The only dish that fell a little short was the stir-fried beef tenderloin, which could have used a bit more seasoning. Everything else was delicious. The portions are enormous. At first the prices seemed a little high, but once the food arrived it made perfect sense. Every entrée was easily enough for two meals. One thing to keep in mind is that rice is ordered separately and isn't included with the entrées. Service was excellent throughout our meal. We arrived for lunch and didn't realize they close between lunch and dinner (lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). We ended up staying until about 2:45, and the staff never made us feel rushed even though they had technically closed. They greeted us promptly, took our drink orders, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu without hovering. The restaurant is tucked away on the ground floor of an office building, so it's easy to drive right past if you aren't looking for it. Parking was plentiful, and the oversized booths comfortably fit all five of us without feeling cramped. If you're dining with a group and want to sample a variety of authentic dishes, Mama Chang is definitely worth the visit.
